  I can't say enough good things about this rental and our stay there. It started with prompt contact by the owners (very nice and personable). They were friendly and helpful, yet we had our privacy. The house was clean, spacious and felt like "home." The view was incredible and the patio/pool was fantastic. The kids had a blast swimming. We spent many mornings and evenings outside. We were visiting family in Calf. and had our mom and brother up for cookouts several nights. Was much better than a noisy restaurant - they appreciated the quiet and relaxed setting. If we visit again for an extended period, we will definitely see if this house is available. Thank you Tina and Mel!

  This property is very special as the views and house itself cannot be put into words. You feel as if you are on the top of the world! The property is very well maintained and you feel very secure, but still secluded. Mel and Tina are very helpful and were available if you needed them(we locked ourselves out!), but also leave you to your vacation. I would highly recommend this property to our friends and family.

  We stayed here for a month in April and it was the best experience ever! Mel and Tina are the most gracious hosts. They saved our Easter when we didn't have time to get the Easter fixins', they showed up at our door with the most amazing Easter baskets for our two young daughters. They saved Easter! The propery is amazing and we loved our time there. We're currently planning and saving for our trip back. Thank you so much Mel and Tina!

  This was our first trip to the USA, so we were concerned with securing a safe and clean holiday home. There were no hidden surprises and we loved every minute spent in this holiday home. The description was accurate including the location, layout, and amenities. The property was clean, well-maintained, and the owners provided professional customer service, both online and when we were there. The guesthouse is near their own house but they never intruded and it was good to know they were close by. They were prompt over the internet - on email, and in their contractual dealings. Our security deposit was duly refunded as per the conditions of contract. We would recommend this property to our friends travelling there, and we would stay there again if we ever visit the region in the future.

  You travel up a steep, winding road to get to this house. The views are lovely and the whole feel of the place is unspoilt and tranquil. The location is easy to get to San Diego with its many beaches and we also drove across the mountains to Palomar Observatory which was spectacular. The house was very clean and great for a family of 7, including 5 children. The kids loved the swimming pool and couldn't wait to get home each day to use it. We feel very lucky to have discovered this house. It gave us a unique insight into South California living and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Mel and Tina were very helpful and efficient in all aspects of the booking and very prompt in returning the security deposit.

  I'm on a countdown to the number of days before we go back to this wonderful place! (August 8) This is our second year and we are planning our next already! My sons (19 & 17) wanted to go longer this year and we have been able to secure that. It not only is beautiful but offers so much from the great ride up the mountain, to the wonderful view, the great pool, the spacious house. It's a great location! really could go on. Looking forward to getting there and relaxing, enjoying my dear family!

  This property rental was so much more that you could ever capture in a photo - the views are breathtaking. The house, pool and gardens were well maintained, welcoming, clean and homely. In fact this home had everything and more than we expected. I don't get to see my USA family often and it was great being able to invite them for a BBQ - we all had a magical time.

  My husband and I are from Oregon and have family in Escondido. The house is real cute and comfy. We enjoyed our stay and will rent this property again in the future. Lovely views of the mountains and not too far from near by attractions.
