Our vacation rental is situated on a private corner lot (1.2 acres) overlooking peaceful Mayfield Lake in Lewis County, Washington. Mayfield Lake is conveniently close to Interstate-5 approximately halfway between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR.
Seattle is a two-hour drive to the north and Portland is one hour, 30 minutes to the south. Lake Mayfield, a little known secret in Washington, is nestled in the Cascade foothills between Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. The lake easily accommodates most water recreation activities.
Our vacation house, a cedar log home built in 1979, is 2100 square feet and has three floors, three bedrooms, and two baths (each three-quarter). It has a vaulted ceiling and a wall of windows overlooking a wrap-around deck and a fantastic view of the lake.
The top level is a bedroom loft with private balcony. The lower level, a daylight basement with a lake view and deck, is completely furnished.
A stay at our rental is a perfect family get-away. However, busy couples or empty nesters are also welcome for a relaxing escape at our vacation home. Sipping coffee on the deck while soaking up the view is a favorite pastime for many of our guests.
