This is a fantastic beach house, and is definitely not your average rental. It is fully equipped, easy to get your vehicle in and out, has a great location and is very comfortable all the way around.
Our family has been vacationing at Ocean Lakes Resort for the past 35 years, and none of us want to stay anywhere else. Four generations of our family love Ocean Lakes! It is a perfect place for families to have fun and enjoy their time together. When our camper became too dilapidated to be repaired, my sister and I decided to build a vacation house, which we have named "Two Sisters".
"Two Sisters" was completed in July, 2005 and our guests really enjoy staying here. The house sits on a great lot in Ocean Lakes Resort, an award-winning, family-oriented, gated community with 24 hour security. With 300 acres, it is the largest resort on the east coast. Our site, number A-6, is exactly 100 steps to the beach and has a beautiful ocean view from both decks. Our house contains two master suites (one on the upper floor and the other is downstairs)with king beds, a third king bedroom, one queen bedroom, and a children's room with two double beds and two bunks which will sleep up to six.
Relax in our comfortable den with a reclining sofa and a reclining love seat. You won't find any stiff, uncomfortable, rattan or wicker furniture here! You will be very comfortable as you watch TV, a video or DVD from our selection, or just read and relax or take a nap. We also have a great dining room, with a large table and comfortable chairs for eight persons. There is room at the bar for two persons. In addition, we have a table and chairs on the deck which will accommodate six persons. Our guests tell us that our house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking utensils and dishes you need. Also, there is a dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, ceramic top range, microwave, and a washer/dryer.
For those who like to fish, there are eight freshwater lakes within the resort and we are within walking distance of the Surfside Beach Pier. All campground activities, such as exercise classes, water aerobics, etc., are included in your rental fee. Golf carts and bicycles are available for rent at the campground office.
Towels and bed linens are not provided. You will also need to supply your own paper products and soap. Departure cleaning is not included, but our house is really easy to clean, and the cleaning supplies are provided. If you would prefer, we can hire someone to clean for you instead for an additional charge.
Ocean Lakes is a wonderful place for families and children love their special pool and water park as well as riding their bikes. There are two oceanfront playgrounds, Putt-Putt, basketball goals, an observation deck, an arcade and snack bar, an indoor pool and outside Olympic-sized pool. Exercise classes and water aerobics are held in the recreation building,and church services take place on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
You must be 25 years of age to rent this property. House parties are not allowed; Family groups are preferred. We accept weekly rentals only during June - August. There is a four night minimum the rest of the year.
Please - - no smoking and no pets because the owners have severe allergies.

Had a wonderful time, your house was great!!! It was in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach, close to pools and rec center. This was the first time for some of my family at ocean lakes and they loved it! Your house was plenty big so we werent right on top of each other, and everyone loved sitting on the deck watching all the excitement!!! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay there!! The May, Stoffan, and Thompson families!! Oh and this was the first time we played in the putt putt tournaments had a ball my grandmother won 1st and 2nd prizes on two days and the third I actually won 2nd place!!! Fun!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
