North Piney Creek (or 'Crick' as the locals tend to say) murmurs serenely right off the front porch on its way to meet up with Big Piney Creek just a little ways down the road. Inside, you will find all the comforts of home. This newly renovated, classic, mountain, log cabin is perfect for enjoying the history, beauty, and solitude that can only be found in the Big Horn West.
Lying just off the Bozeman Trail, Story's rich history lures travelers and American history buffs alike to sites such as Fort Phil Kearney, the historic Wagon Box Fight, and the Fetterman Battlefield. Within easy reach by car is the Little Bighorn Battlefield, the site of General Custer's Last Stand with the Lakota Sioux, Arapaho, and Cheyenne Indians in June, 1876. The deep respect for the cross-cultural relevance of America's Civil War years is impressive and awe-inspiring.
