Our lovely condo is one of those round buildings and with a third bathroom!!
This beautiful Mauna Kai condominium is located on the desired North Shore of Kauai in the resort community of Princeville. The 2,000 sf condo has three bedrooms plus loft, sleeps six-eight people, and is located on the second level of a two-story unit with a wide private entrance. Our condo feels like a private home, not an apartment building where the units are on top of each other. The entire unit has new bamboo flooring installed. The complex features one of Kauai's largest swimming pool and pavilion with tropical landscaping.
The kitchen appliances - the refrigerator, the stove and the microwave - have been recently upgraded to new stainless steel models. The kitchen is well-appointed and fully-equipped.
The unit has 2 separate entertainment areas. One for the adults on the first floor and a second one for the children on the second floor. The livingroom furnitures are newly purchased on June 2010. We have many childrens favorite videos and games. We also have Kauai guide books and other books for your enjoyment. Free internet - bring your laptop.
The unit provides 2 parking spaces - ideal for 2 couples.
Mountain/Garden views. Waterfalls can be seen from the large (1000 sf) wrap-around lanai which is furnished with brand new patio dining set, lounge chairs, a hammock, and another table for outdoor eating.
Restaurants, golf, beaches, and a shopping center with a large supermarket are within walking distance - 10 minutes. A playground and a public library are also within 10 minute walking distance.

Why the Owner Chose Mauna Kai
Of all the places we've been to, Kauai is still our favorite. Kauai has everything, the view, the ocean, the mountain.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love our spacious condo especially the lovely lanai. The kids can have their own area. The adults have our own area. Our children love the pool and the walk down to the beach. We often walk to the nearby supermarket after dinner. The walk is on the Queen Emma's path. The kids, of course, love the dessert at the yogurt and the ice cream shop at the shopping mall.

What a wonderful surprise to wake up to coffee in the kitchen.Your kitchen supplies are tremendous! As a Mom of 3 teenagers, we cooked just enough to get the teens by before going out to some of the lovely restaurants. All beach towels, ice chest, water gear and beach mats were such a nice added feature to be able to use. We surfed Hanalei Bay, visited Anini Beach and Ke'e beach with just a short drive from the condo.We so appreciated the use of the ice chest on the beach. We went to the fresh fish market in Hanalei and BBQ’d.Great location, well appointed, and pristine! The most beautiful area on the island, flat walking for miles and golf galore! Mahalo!

We found this unit to be an excellent location for a family of 7 to vacation in Kauai. The unit was extremely comfortable and felt like home. The 3 bathrooms and in-house laundry facilities were a luxury! The unit is well equipped for preparing meals and has a closet full of beach toys for kids big and small. The grounds are well maintained, the pool is fantastic and the cabana has a gas grill that we used almost every night. I wish to thank the owners for having such a nice unit that we would consider renting again. Most definitely one of the nicest units for rent in the Princeville area. Anini beach is just a short hike away and even Queen's Bath can be reached by foot. The Princeville shopping center is only a 10 minute walk away if you need to pick up a few items or Hanalei is a short 5 minute drive away. This is a wonderful place for a relaxing vacation in Kauai.

My daughter, 3 granddaughters and I just returned from a week in Kauai, on the North Shore, staying at the MaunaKai condo. What a fabulous time. We loved the condo, the large living room with vcr/dvd players and comfy furniture, the kitchen with everything, my wonderful master bedroom with the elegant 4 poster bed. I never understood the lanai concept before this visit but now I do. Each day it rained more than once, for anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes and the lanai and its furniture,clothes lines, hammock, never got wet, perfect. The birds ate breakfast with us daily. We took advantage of the well-stocked equipment closet, snorkels, boogyboards, umbrellas, chairs, even water shoes. We could not ask for any thing more. The division of space worked well for our family, two very separate areas, plenty of privacy. The thoughtful details were very appreciated, ie each light/fan switch was clearly labeled, guidebooks on the self, phone for local call, a phone directory. It was helpful. The location was great for exploring many nearby beaches and the nearby library and shopping center were very convenient. We even watched the sunrise on our first morning from the path down to Annini Beach, slippery but worth the walk. The complex was quiet, the pool was a daily treat for the kids and the chickens a hoot. Thanks for sharing you great place and we will be back. I highly recommend the nearby library for dvds and Tunnels beach for snorkeling with sea turtles! Mahalo again.

Your condo gave us a wonderful base for our visit to Kauai. The floor plan was comfortable, and provided privacy for three couples. We enjoyed the large lanais and the spacious kitchen/dining areas. We had a great time and hope to return soon.
