This brightly decorated unit (604 Gulfside) boasts a spacious floor plan with a balcony off the living room and master bedroom. The unique floor plan offers the privacy of two separate bedrooms while maintaining a friendly, family-oriented space with a large living area and kitchen which lends itself for a relaxing vacation for all. The unit is decorated with custom colors,original artwork and crown molding throughout.
The master bedroom opens to the balcony with a wonderful view of the gulf and the night life of Fort Walton Beach. The furnishings in the room are comfortable including a king size bed and an armoire which holds a 32 Inch LCD TV with Blu-Ray/Wi-Fi connected(Movies via Netflix available). The bathroom has a garden tub with separate shower and double sinks. This bathroom is spacious and has a large walk-in closet.
The guest bedroom features a large picture window with views of the gulf and bay, a queen-size bed, an armoire with 27 inch LCD TV with Blu-Ray/Wi-Fi(Movies via Netflix available). This bedroom opens to the whimsically decorated second bathroom of the unit.
The brightly decorated, child-friendly bunk area has seperate access to the second bathroom. This bedroom features its own LCD TV with built in DVD player for the childrens enjoyment. This room is also suitable for teens.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything needed for cooking and/or entertaining. The laundry area is located off the kitchen. The brightly decorated living room is home to a 32 inch LCD television with HIGH DEFINITION Cable, DVD, CD and VHS. Digital Cable service is provided and offers more than 200 channels, including Disney, TCM, HBO and Discovery channels. Enjoy our library of DVD's,and CD's as well as our small reading library.
Wireless internet or cable modem access is also provided for those of you bringing computers. Great views of the beach, gulf, pier and pool area are afforded from the spacious balcony. The hide-a-bed will also accommodate additional guests for your stay.

Why the Owner Chose Destin West Beach and Bay Resort
It was a great opportunity to have something right on the beach. Okaloosa Island offers some great family opportunities. Great beaches, some great food and entertainment within walking distance make it a great location. Not quite as crowded as Destin and not quite as remote as Navarre...this is a perfect balance.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Lots of water! Of course the beach and gulf are just steps away, but you also have the benefit of lots of fresh water in all of the Destin West water amenities including the lazy river, the giant pool, the other smaller and heated pools and the splash park. The fitness center is well equipped and airconditioned so when you've had enough sun...it's a great place to burn off some of those vacation calories. Gulfarium is just down the road and the boardwalk is great.
A great "locals" hangout for seafood...off the beaten path and great food!
Great location to watch the boats and enjoy the water if the surf gets too rough on the gulfside
Shopping and a great play park for the kids with a trapeze and climbing walls...very safe. Look for the giant American flag!
More shopping and more restaurants here or near hear including Longhorn, TGI Fridays, Panera Bread, Chili's, Moe's and others. This is on Mary Esther Cutoff.

We welcome all of our friends from previous visits back for another year, and of course look forward to our new guests for this year! Our Condo has received a face lift over the winter with a major repainting project for the exterior areas of the Gulfside complex. The main pool and hot tub have been refurbished, resealed and repainted with a new LED lighting system installed which gives a great effect to the whole pool area in the evenings. We look forward to seeing you this year, have a look!

Bill and Constance, We loved our stay in your unit - great location, great weather, and a wonderful place to visit with our kids. My brother and his family rented a unit on the bayside and we enjoyed meeting up to explore the Lazy River, the beach, the Ramada splash pool, the Armament museum, the Gulfarium, and the Destin restaurants. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time just sitting and relaxing with a cup of coffee on your balcony - we kept a pretty hectic schedule while there. Thanks for making the rental process easy and friendly. If we return to the Destin area we will certainly keep you in mind

Sunny days with afternoon thunderstorms. Did the beach, pools and lazy river and caught up on our reading-also, we rented a boat from Terry next door and went to Crab Island. Wonderful times!!! Loved being with family and creating memories. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with our family. We truly enjoyed it and hope to make this an annual trip!

Tropical depression came in & made ocean very rough-mostly red flag days. We still had a GREAT time-went to the pier-beach, and all the pools. Loved the lazy river at night. Parasailed & snorkeled. We loved this place & hate going home. Was hoping for one more beautiful ocean day. Love how this condo is decorated-very homey. Thanks

We loved all the different pools, lazy river, & splash park-we spent most of our vacation in the water. Saw dolphins from the balcony. It was great to spend time with the family-we hate to go home! Hi Bill, Thanks! We had a great time, as usual! This was our fourth year at Destin West and our eighth year at Fort Walton. We look forward to our trip every year and this year was no exception. It really delivered! For the first time, we rented a pontoon boat for the day and drove around the bay. We had a pod of dolphins swim with us for about 15 minutes, we anchored at a deserted beach where we found hundreds of hermit crabs in the shallow water, and we spent a couple of hours at Crab Island. It was without a doubt the highlight of our trip! Our departure was bittersweet as we realized that because of the oil spill, our little taste of paradise may not be the same for many years to come. Yet we know that we will return next year, no matter what, and that we are counting the days until that happens. Thanks again!
