Located in the heart of the Animas River Valley, no detail was overlooked in crafting this custom log home. Only ten miles from Historic Downtown Durango, views in every direction are of towering red cliffs and tall ponderosa pines. Manicured lawns, water ponds, bridges, and breathtaking mountain scenery surround the home, making it the perfect place for creating family memories.
With an inviting and open floor plan, the great room is accented with a river rock fireplace and tall panoramic windows. Throughout the homes are log beams, walls of windows and beautiful artwork. In addition, you can enjoy a big screen TV, DVD player, VCR, and a surround sound stereo system. Listen to crackling of a fire on a crisp winter night or gather friends and family on a peaceful summer eve. This room is the ideal place for it all!
The gourmet kitchen and dining room has a breakfast bar, wet bar, wine chiller, and large pantry. Just outside is a decks complete with a built-in gas grill, while the large picture window above the kitchen sink offers outstanding wildlife viewing.
The master bedroom suite on the main level is magnificent with a private deck, entertainment center, and oversized double-headed shower. Also on the main level is a second master suite with a king-size bed, jet tub, and separate exit to the front deck.
Upstairs are two guest bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and private bathroom. Off one of the rooms is an office area which can be used along with the wireless internet to keep in touch with the rest of the world. There is a third room which has four twin-sized beds at one end and a t.v. / playroom area at the other.

The perfect 'get-away from life' vacation home

We absolutely loved this home. The perfect vacation home. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Lovely kitchen stocked with everything you need.....the deck was our favorite gathering spot every evening to talk and gaze at the stars. Our favorite entertainment was watching the hummingbirds drink at the feeder everyday....that was the life. The property was very private...no need to pull the shades because there are no close neighbors to look in the windows. We didn't want to return home....can't wait to come back.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
