About the owner: Tim & I (Dawn) purchased this house in April 2014. We have rented in the area since our wedding rehearsal dinner six years ago and just fell in love with the quaintness of Del Ray, the waterfront of historic Old Town, and the easy access to Washington, D.C. so we are thrilled to be homeowners here. Tim grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and loves to offer his Midwestern hospitality. After college he was a tour guide here for international students so he knows a lot of what D.C. has to offer - so feel free to ask for places to visit and how to get there. Together, we opened a kids consignment boutique in Del Ray in 2010 and love being a part of this community. We live on the first floor of this two-unit home so are available for any of your needs.
Why the Owner Chose Alexandria: We loved the convenient location, front porch, and the beautiful tree-lined street in a neighborhood filled with quaint bungalow style houses with front porches. As a one-car family, Tim bikes 1 mile to work at the US Trade & Patent Office (which has a small museum that is open to the public).
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: Its a charming 1930's home complete with a glass front door, original moldings, door knobs, & old-school radiators. We are having a wood fence installed this spring to complete the charm.
