Caribbean View is a comfortable, beautifully appointed and landscaped house in a fantastic location. Nestled on a hillside looking straight out to the famous Bioluminescent Bay and Caribbean Ocean, it is equidistant to both south and north towns with easy access to shopping, restaurants and seaside entertainment. Best of all it is a couple of minutes from the entrance to the gorgeous string of white sand beaches stretching for miles in the nature preserve.......for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and beach sports of all kinds. Beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are all provided for your use.
Relax on the covered veranda sipping your morning coffee or sunset cocktail..the breeze and views are divine. Or wander about on the large property and take advantage of the oranges, mangoes, avocados and limes. Sit quietly under one of the big trees to watch the hummingbirds, warblers, egrets and bananaquits, who are just a few of our daily visitors.
Another special treat just a few paces away from the house is the trail to the old lighthouse, a two-mile hike ending with spectacular cliff top views of the ocean and beaches stretching all the way to the far eastern tip of the island.
Care to prepare your own island meal? Our kitchens are fully equipped with standard size refrigerator and stove, microwave, blender, etc. We also have an electric juicer, food processor and an ice cream maker. Nothing beats a refreshing serving of mango sorbet, ready in just a few simple steps. Dine inside in the pretty dining area, outside on the veranda or in the garden under the canopy of trees on the festively lit patio.

Carribean View met all our expectations and more. It's location near the entrance to the beaches is it's main asset. The place was very roomy, and the balcony quite enjoyable. It was my second trip to Vieques and the Carribean View was much more quiet than the house we rented in Esperanza the previous year. The noise of roosters crowing in the villages can be quite disturbing.We did not experience that at Carribean View. The breeze was so nice, that we never needed to use the AC. The owner was very helpful. We will stay here on our next trip to Vieques. Take a walk to the light house ruins, well worth the effort. Mark from upstate NY.

This was our fourth trip to Vieques and Caribbean View was the best rental so far. Spacious, comfortable, it had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. The owner is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to Isabel Segunda as well as Esperanza and the beaches. The photos and description in the listing are accurate so we didn't have any unpleasant surprises when we arrived. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Vieques and we did not know where to stay. We took a chance on this place and were extremely pleased. It was spotless and was everything it said it would be in the description. Beth greeted us at the door and supplied us with all the information we needed to have a wonderful stay. My husband and I like to sit and read in the evenings and we were happy to see the comfortable chairs and good lighting. In the mornings we had our breakfast on the porch overlooking the Caribbean. Then after beaching & snorkeling we'd relax with a glass of wine on that same porch soaking up the view. Despite the fact that there were 2 other apartment in the house, it felt very private. The location is 10-15 minutes from almost anyplace you would want to go and the few neighbors were very friendly. We felt safe and secure. The only negative was the roosters crowing in the morning. Fortunately, they were not close by and it was more of a backround noise. There were also a few times when dogs were barking but it did not last long. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. March 2011
