Very unique loft in Little Italy in downtown San Diego. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Seaport Village, Horton Plaza, and Petco Park.
The loft is on the seventh floor and has concrete walls and ceilings. High-tech Italian lighting, pool table, CD Juke box, and plasma TV. The bedroom has California King-size bed and master bath with dual sink and shower with separate oversized tub. The living and dining area has large sofa, chair, and loveseat with elevated seating for dining for up to eight people. There is also an eight foot pool table. A full-size wall bed is also located in the living area.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and solid wood cabinets. Everything is first class! There is a large balcony with two tables off the living, dining area and also a balcony off the bedroom with table and chairs for relaxing. The building has secured parking underground with two spaces for the unit. There is also a courtyard and jacuzzi with workout room.

My wife and I enjoyed this condo/loft tremendously, it was very spacious, clean, and had an incredible location. The view from the balconies was incredible and the pool table was awesome. This unit was great because there was over 30 restaurants and bars within safe walking distance, and if you decided to stay in and cook or get takeout you felt like you were home. The owner was very responsive and answered questions or concerns immediately, the secure parking was very close to the elevator and the fitness facilty was well equiped for a great workout. We wiill definitely be coming back on an annual basis, in comparison to a upscale hotel on Harbor Island this unit is a far better deal. We have two grown sons and becuase of this unit we were able to have a tremendous vacation and were able to see them much more then previous trips to San Diego.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our group of 4 stayed here for a long weekend and this place is very nice with a great location for anything you would want to do in San Diego. There are 2 parking spots, which is great and saves money and hassle. Also worth mentioning there are two bathrooms and a walk in closet for luggage storage and two patio's with water views. The train tracks are near by, but you hardly notice. There is some construction adjacent to the building that was loud in the AM, but this is temporary and should not hinder a couple or small group from utilizing this great condo. The price, location, amenities and perks of the place make it well worth the stay. Very cool Jukebox with a selection of music for everyone. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Beautiful condo! Clean! Great price! 200 yards from the balcony, on a straight line, is a train crossing. Regularly day and night you first hear the train's horn far off...then as it approaches the "CLANG, CLANG, CLANG" of the crossing. Then as the train approaches you get the full-on horn blast. I am not exaggerating when I say when the train is moving by, conversation is difficult, let alone sleep. I am a light sleeper but my girlfriend is now...no way she could sleep through that. We had to sleep in the closet with the fan on and ear plugs in. In addition...there's construction right outside the balcony as well, so that starts up at 7..."beep, beep, beep" as the trucks back up, and "brrrrrr" as the jackhammers start up. This construction, by the way, when complete, will obliterate the view out to the water and the airport. Aaahhh, the airport. The jets approach, then turn R...and when they do you get the full effect of their engines pointed right at you. I wish I'd known how loud this place was before booking...I would have paid double to have some peace and quiet. Little Italy was very cool...wonderful food....Owner response: It is unfortuanate that my guest had a noise issue from the trains. It does effect most of Little Italy and is being addressed by the city of San Diego. They have spent millions of dollars in the past 2 years building quiet crossings that will go into effect the end of Oct beginning of Nov 2012. This will alliviate the noise by eliminating the need for the train to blow its horn which is the major noise issue. I have been renting my place for 7+ years and this is the first complaint I have had regarding noise from the trains.

This place is pristine, spacious (much bigger than it appears in the photos), the view is lovely, and the location can't be beat. You can walk or take a short drive to just about everything. The underground parking is a relief at the end of a long day of sightseeing. No need to fight for a parking space. My husband and I got a lot of use out of the kitchen, the jukebox, and the two-person tub. The only negative is the occasional noise from train horns, but my husband and I live near train tracks so we were used to it. We wouldn't have had half the space or the same amenities for the same price at a hotel. This place is a great deal.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

My husband and I have visited various VRBO properties several times a year for nearly a decade, and this condo is one of the finest flats we have ever experienced. The photos do not fully depict the luxury and whimsy of the property. Everything from the linens to the wall art to the furniture is top quality and has the feel of a luxury hotel. The jukebox and pool table are perfect mini escapes from the ordinary world. Everything is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare a first class meal. Most mornings we would walk a block and a half to Caffe Italia for breakfast. More than a dozen outstanding restaurants are within a block, everything from a simple pizzeria to a upmarket bistros. There is a great selection of wine bars and pubs as well. A foodie's paradise. The Saturday Morning Farmer's Market is one of the best in California and should not be missed. The trolley stop is a two block walk. The parking garage was easily accessable and especially welcome for those side trips that made the trolley impractical. The view is delicious, especially if you enjoy bigger-city excitement. We could watch ocean liners breeze across the bay, airplanes land in the distance, and trains rumble down the tracks. The planes, trains, and automobiles do add noise, especially on the balcony, and someone who wants a super-quiet getaway may want to consider looking elseware. Nevertheless the appeal of this proerty is undeniable, and we will most certainly return regularly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We rented this condo for a week in early December and enjoyed the location and amenities. We were centrally located and this made it so easy to go sightseeing, walk to a neighborhood restaurant, and have family and friends meet us. Will definitely be back again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.

What a treat to stay in this wonderful loft for 5 nights! I am home now and wondering why I didn't stay the whole week! This place is completely dialed in-- super comfy bed (in fact I'm shopping for a memory foam bed top today after sleeping on this!) TONS of space, great balconies with gorgeous views, delicious bathtub, everything you can possibly need in the kitchen, a terrific location, and a pool table and jukebox to boot! Seriously, I have stayed at dozens of vrbo rentals and this is definitely in the top 3! Mike and Debbie get the concept of comfort, convenience, luxury, whimsy, and fun, and the price is a bargain with free parking and no tax. I'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We've stayed in this "Little Italy" condo two years running for a month at a time. It is perfect - well furnished, even with a pool table & loaded Juke Box, and the location is perfect - 2 blocks to the San Diego Trolley, great restaurants within just a few blocks, underground parking. We'll be back often.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

We rented this property for one month, and found it to be exactly as advertised. The pictures on the website showing a beautiful balcony view were very accurate. The location was outstanding and enabled us to walk to almost any activity we wanted and provided easy access to the trolley line for those things further away. It was great to leave our car parked in the secure underground garage for most of the month. This property was our first experience with Homeaway, so we didn't know what to expect. We were definitely not disappointed, as the property was everything we had hoped it would be. Our arrival and departure arrangements were extremely convenient as well. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway in downtown San Diego.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.
