Relax on the Deck and Enjoy the Wooded Ambiance

Location: Hollister, Table Rock Lake, Missouri, USA (Branson)

Accommodations:  Lake House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-6)

Enjoy fishing or swimming from the dock or take in the sights, sounds and shopping of Branson. Located less than four miles from Big Cedar Lodge and just fifteen minutes from "Highway 76 Strip," this lake cottage is close to the town's activity but with the relaxing ambiance of being within a minutes walk from beautiful Tablerock Lake.

After a long day of sightseeing and fun, sit on the deck and watch the hummingbirds in the giant mimosa tree or take a short 2-4 minute stroll down to the dock and watch the sun go down. Two bedrooms, one bath, great room with vaulted ceiling, comfortable couches, cable television, dining seating for six. Kitchen is stocked with everything (except food!) to make a simple breakfast or a romantic dinner. Laundry, fenced dog run. Barbecue grill. No smoking in the house, please.

The purchase of this house was so that we could enjoy the beauty of Tablerock lake and the Ozarks but not be so far from town that we could not appreciate the shows and restaurants.

The like home lake cottage is a work in progress; the first year we added a large deck so we could really enjoy the outdoors which is, of course, why we choose the location in the first place! Next, we completely ripped out the walls and fixtures from the 70's bathroom and replaced them with new fixtures, colors and lighting. To enhance both the view from inside and the house from the outside we then replaced most of the windows. An added benefit is being able to enjoy the lake breeze. In fact, we like to use the house fan and breathe REAL air at night!

Last year we re-decked the dock and put new couches in the living room, one of which converts to a queen size bed! We also texturized and painted the hallway. This year’s projects included new carpet installed in the Master Bedroom, a new updated hall light fixture, a badly needed front door, and a new roof and gutter (some of which is not glamorous but necessary)!

We aren't done and if you stay with us more than once you will see changes! However, we think you will enjoy it as is and will find it reasonably priced, comfortable, and your home away from home!

  • Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful lake cottage. The location was perfect not too close to Branson and not too far either. My wife, my mom and I really enjoyed our four days there at your cottage. It rained for two and half days due to hurricane Gustov so we couldn't check out the lake but the cabin was stocked with everything we needed (except umbrellas):) I would definitely like to visit again and bring friends the next time.   • We stayed for a week over the 4th of July with our dogs. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The dogs enjoyed jumping off the dock and playing with the neighborhood dogs. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The deck was great for getting some sun or having a couple drinks in the evening. We used the brochures available to find places to go hiking, go to dinner, and even watch the fireworks. We'd definitely return for another summer vacation!

  • We arrived at this lake house on Labor Day and stayed until Saturday. We had a wonderful stay. The home is clean, kitchen well stocked with dishes and such. Even a welcome basket of coffees and teas. The deck was quiet, cool, and very relaxing. We dined there frequently. The lake is short walk/drive and the boat dock is very adequate for bringing your own boat. Thanks so much.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and comfortable, and was remarkably well stocked with everything but the food! The dock and lake was a very short walk away, and the big deck was great. I don't know what kind of flowering trees are growing all around the area, but the one in the yard by the deck had a huge family of hummingbirds that we loved watching! Branson is a short 15 minute drive, and Stacy provided a book of info about the area, coupons, etc. that we utilized for our sightseeing and the shows we went to. We will definitely consider going back next summer.
