The Asylum Inn was the latest to open on the beautiful Lakeshore of South Haven, Michigan. The 3 story brick building was once a private hospital, founded by the Penoyer Family. Today we restored this magnificent building into 3 Master Suites.
We can accommodate up 16 guest. A unique place for Wedding Parties and Family gatherings. Each flat has it's own lock and key. But Opens up to a Mansion. The three flats have Master kitchens and bathes. Some even have a Jacuzzi bath. Full Living rooms with Satellite TV. Fresh Linens & towels & bathing products.
Private deck for each flat. Common courtyard with grilling. A great gathering place for family and friends. We accommodate small & large groups. Our Inn is centrally located from downtown and walking distance to the beaches...
Lake Michigan is only steps away from the Inn. Walking distance to the Riverfront. Great Fishing and Charters available. We have over 1001 lakes in Michigan to enjoy. Beautiful Beaches to swim and search for treasures. Scuba diving is becoming a popular sport in Lake Michigan, with all the ship wrecks in our area. You gotta come dive for yourself.

South Haven is a Beautiful place to Live and Vacation. We lived here most of our lives. The locals are very friendly. The Lake is breath taking. We absolutely love it. The Investment is where do you wanna be...near the lake.

The Asylum Inn is unique. We are one of the few to sleep all 16 of your family & friends. Staying together, but have your own Suite with Lock & Key. Great for those want to walk to most events. Walking only 4 blocks to Lake Michigan. Festivals are all within reach, yet far enough away for privicy and quite time.

Mark & Tina Goodrich are South Haven Locals. We've lived here most of our lives. We have 5 Children. The Asylum Inn was founded in 2002. We nick named the buidling "The Asylum". It was in desrepair and needed alot of love. It was the 1st private Hospital in SH in 1930's. Our Children and Family together worked on the building to where it is today. We love to share the Inn with our Family & Friends...
