The non-smoking home is on a secluded, wooded ten-acre tract one mile from the entrance to the Slick Rock Mountain development and a five-minute walk from the lake.
It has a rustic exterior that blends with the natural environment, and there is a good view of nearby mountains from the living room and porch.
The two-story plan of the home, with two bedroom, bathroom up and downstairs, is well suited for a large family or two small families. The home is tastefully but functionally decorated, and the premises are clean and well maintained.
Slick Rock Mountain is a 600-acre development of vacation homes near Brevard, NC, between the Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains. The development focuses on family use, privacy, and preservation of the area in its natural state.
A small lake with picnic facilities is maintained for swimming, fishing and picnicking, and the development's gravel roads are kept in good repair. Otherwise, efforts are made to minimize development and maximize privacy in a heavily wooded, natural outdoor setting.
Slick Rock Mountain is about a 15-minute drive from Brevard, a charming resort town with a wide array of activities, including music and antiquing. Asheville (with its lively arts, culinary and cultural scene) and Hendersonville are about 35-45 minutes away; Greenville, SC is one hour away.
The area enjoys moderate weather all year. Summer lows are in the 50-63 degree range, with highs of about 75-85 degrees.
