Sandpiper Cove, smack in the heart of Destin, is a private gated community only one to two blocks away from the grocery, drug store, movie theater, stores, and restaurants. In fact, one of Destin's premier restaurants is even on the premises. Amenities abound, including six tennis courts (free), five pools, hot tubs, and a FREE 9 hole par 3 golf course.
Our unit is a Two Bedroom- Two Bath jewel located on the golf course and within walking distance to the beach. We have Two TVs, Two VCR's, DVD player, washer and dryer, central heat/air, and a huge deck with umbrella overlooking the golf course.
Sandpiper has private beach access, private parking, and a pavilion on the beach with a full service snack bar. The beach offers sailing, parasailing, jet skis, and ocean kayaks. If you visit just once, you will understand why we really don't call it our home away from home, but our PARADISE away from home.

We just returned from another great vacation in Destin. We have stayed at Sandpiper Cove through another VRBO listing, but this one far exceeded our last stay. This unit is on the first floor, so it is very easy to load your things in and out, has a great (large) deck overlooking the third hole of the golf course, lots of closet and drawer space in both bedrooms and the kitchen was completely stocked with any/all utensils you need to cook your meals. It is well kept, clean and we felt right at home. We spent a lot of our evenings sitting on the deck and talking to golfers from all over the United States; we really enjoyed that. The walk to the beach is right across the street and although we brought our own umbrella/chairs, I would recommend renting at The Pavillion. It is so nice, to have your stuff all set up and waiting of you each day. The owners, Janet and John are VERY nice and were so prompt in addressing any of our questions or concerns. In fact, Janet recommended a GREAT restaurant called Dewey Destins and it was Excellent, best scallops ever!!! Be sure to go to the one behind McGuires, not the one on 98. It is a nice little "dive" with great service and great food. If you like to bike ride long distances like we do, head down to Seaside and ride on the bike path on 30A and then go to The Donut Hole for breakfast on your way back to the condo. Donut Hole has 2 locations now, both on 98. We will be back and will definitely rent from Janet and John again.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
