Located on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula near Calumet, This smoke-free home/cottage is only 400 feet from the mouth of the Tobacco River and located on 230' of Lake Superior lakeshore. Approximately 15 miles from Lake Linden and Calumet. Nearest village is Gay. The views, breezes and waves are simply fantastic.
Home is located on the Gay/Lac LaBelle Road with easy access year round (available for rent all seasons). Peak periods are Memorial Day to Labor Day, and early-September to mid-October and Christmas to early March (snowmobile season).
This property has a spectacular view of the Lake from all the main living areas and bedrooms. The multi-level deck allows you to enjoy the summer breezes or the fall colors with family and friends.
Lower level features a heated garage great for storing the snowmobiles during the snowy winter nights. Also on the lower level is the laundry area, and one bedroom containing a double lower and single upper bunk bed (sleeps three). The other bunk sleeps two.
Upper level features beautiful red maple and cherry hardwood vaulted ceiling and open design from kitchen, dining and living room for great views of the lake and easy conversation. Master bedroom features a queen bed and 180 degree view of the lake. Bathroom is a full bath including bathtub and shower. DISH Network TV is included. Telephone is also included.
Exterior of property has children’s play set, picnic table and open yard down to the Lake edge. Property is slightly elevated from the lake enhancing the lake view, but requires a few steps down to the Lake.
The Tobacco River (about 400 feet away) is known as one of the best trout streams in the Keweenaw. Old restored pier 500 feet the other way brings back memories of old copper mining days gone by.
