Coupeville cottage description
Views of Saratoga Passage from the prow-like deck will enhance your stay in our newer, warm, cozy cottage. Buy some wood on the SE corner of the highway and Race Rd on the way in and enjoy the warmth and charm of the wood stove. The windows bring in plenty of light and are wrapped in pine. The bedroom has a high ceiling, a ceiling fan, and a queen-size bed. The couch is a hide-a-bed and the loft offers three more single beds. Wood floors and trim are accompanied by granite and stainless in the kitchen for a warm but modern feel. Designed in the spirit of cottage architecture our place offers a warm feeling with wood accents but with modern finishes and all the conveniences of newer construction. You will love it here, many of our customers come back year after year and have made staying here an important part of their lives.
Across the quiet street from the cottage is a path to the community beach. It is a short walk to the beach which offers 1/4 mile of beach-combing and shelling. There is also a play area for kids with a large grassy field and swings. Enjoy the view of Saratoga Passage, and the peaceful setting which often includes deer meandering through the property.
Take a short drive to the historic Coupeville waterfront or explore Fort Casey (the kids will love exploring the old concrete bunkers and looking at the big guns). The far north end of the island offers spectacular views and an amazing beach at Deception Pass; moving south you will pass through the towns of Coupeville, Freeland, Langley and Clinton. Coupeville and Langley have been the setting for a few movies and are eclectic, fun little towns. There are great events throughout the island year round.
You'll love your stay at our cottage, come and explore a northwest treasure, Whidbey Island and the wonderful and eclectic town of Coupeville!

Beautiful place. Clean, great decor, well kept, well equipped and charming cottage are just part of what made this week long stay so great. Deer and bunnies right in the yard. A short walk to awesome beach combing...Great location. The sunrise from the balcony was gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for more!

Convenient Location, Charming Cottage
We had a wonderful time staying here while I attended a workshop at the Pacific Northwest Art School in Coupeville. Very convenient location for my workshop (10-minute drive), Fort Casey, Fort Ebey, and Coupeville's restaurants (Toby's Suds has great local mussels) and shops. Comfortable, cozy quarters with a nice view and short walk to a community beach park. Restful getaway with all amenities--and so reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this to a friend or relative--in fact, I already have!

Wonderful weekend getaway
Wonderful weekend getaway
Our family of three used the cottage for a long weekend getaway, and as home base while we participated in a wedding on the island. It was the perfect relaxing getaway we needed. It's close to the water, close to town and it has amazing views. We were thrilled to see deer in the yard every morning too! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the board games were a huge hit with our daughter. Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay. Thank you for sharing you lovely cottage!

Owner response: Thank you, it was nice of our neighbors to remove some trees and give us such a great view. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at our great cottage, we love it there too.
Wonderful place to relax!
Wonderful place to relax!
We spent three nights here with my family in May 2010 and it was such an amazing and relaxing experience. The cottage is very neat and cozy and the community is wonderful. Close to shopping and all other kinds of activities on the island. We will definitely come back!

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming well maintained cottage on Whidbey Island the first week of May, 2008. And let me tell you it was a delight. The Whidbey cottage is a well built, well stocked & designed cabin. I went there with my dearest friend Allen, a designer, & my partner Nikee, a job super-intendent in construction, & they both couldn't stop raving about how well made & designed the cottage was. Me, I'm a feeler, as well as a cook & let me tell ya the first thing you feel is the love that went into this place, not to mention the great kitchen & all it's useful appliances & utensils. Which one cannot always find at other vacation rentals. Whidbey Cottage is a charming place where one can go to rest & restore. And Whidbey island is a great destination to visit, from one end of the island to the next, but if you never even left the cabin you'd still have a great vacation for the place is packed with ambience, a great view, boardgames for the kids, TV & DVD's & comfy beds. I look forward to visiting again & would highly reccomend it to either individuals looking to get away & relax & maybe have a romantic vacation or families looking to vacation together. It would meet even the most discriminating vactioners needs as the owners have thought of everything in providing for this place. So, many thanks to Heather & Steven Anderson for letting us stay at your little dream cottage...

Our second time at your cottage and both times so enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. The deer that cruised around and the handy location to Eby's Landing and Coupeville. We will definitely be back again. Thank you ..from us and the pups.

Heather, A quick note to say "Thank you" and to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay. The weather was amazing and we were able to enjoy the much needed rest and relaxation. Your house was beautiful and just what we were looking for. To put it simply, it was perfect. We're already looking forward to coming back to walk the beautiful beaches & view the amazing sunsets. Thanks again! Kerry & Kari

Steve and Heather, thanks so much for donating your cabin to the quest auction. We had a great time. Your cabin was meticulous! We had access to everything we could have possibly needed. You've thought of everything. It was so peaceful and quiet, and just the perfect break we all needed. We will certainly sing your praises to friends and family. Thanks again, Michelle Hubble

Heather and Steve, I have stayed in many cabins over the years, and this one is the best! The community beach and quiet surroundings are fantastic. Your cabin is first rate. Clean, very comfortable, not to mention the extremely well equipped kitchen. Perfect for families, or a romantic getaway. Will be back.

What a neat place! We've now rented 5 or more different cottages around Whidbey, and this is certainly one of the nicest, for adults and kids alike. Wonderful construction, design, furnishings (far nicer than my own home, frankly), great loft with 3 comfy, single beds for kids (2 can be used for adults easily), beautiful bedroom, high-end kitchen, washer/dryer/dishwasher, indoor entertainment in the form of an array of games as well as total TV/DVD/CD/VHS set-up (for bad weather, fussy kids, and/or sports-fan parents). Outdoors, there is a pleasant path down to the water -- where you find a grassy park, swing set, and beach to explore. Easy access to Coupeville and Ft. Casey. We brought our 4 and near-2 year old here, and all was good. A great deal!

Why the Owner Chose Coupeville:
The cottage is situated on a quiet lot that is speckled with big beautiful Fir trees and has a peek-a-boo view of Saratoga Passage. It is a wonderful setting.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Absolute peace and quiet and watching the resident eagle soar from the deck while watching the occassional sailboat glide by. Watching all of the deer meander across the property and snack on the foliage. Walking and beachcombing, especially during low tide.
