The village of Captiva is a short walk, offering numerous shops and fine restaurants. A list of recommended restaurants will be provided upon request.
The home is directly on the Gulf of Mexico, with a pool between the house and the beach. The pool is about 75 ft. from the house, and the beach is just steps from the pool. There are spectacular, unobstructed Gulf/beach views from the large screened porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom. The house has recently been refurbished with a new kitchen, new tile floor, new furniture and window treatments.
It offers plenty of space for an entire family: three bedrooms, two baths, living/dining room area, full kitchen with new appliances, washer/dryer, large screened porch overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, stereo throughout. King bed in master, king bed in second bedroom, two twins in third bedroom.
South Seas Island Resort is approximately 35 miles from South Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. Captiva Island is three miles off Florida's southwest coast, and is accessed by the Sanibel Causeway which is connected to the mainland at Fort Myers.

Directions from Southwest Florida International Airport (Fort Myers): Turn left out of the airport onto Daniels Parkway West. Turn left onto Summerlin Road for approximately ten miles to the Sanibel Causeway toll booth. Continue past the toll booth onto Sanibel Island. At the four-way stop (just over the bridge), turn right onto Periwinkle Way. Turn right at the end of Periwinkle onto Tarpon Bay Road. At the stop sign, turn left onto Sanibel-Captiva Road. After about seven miles, cross small bridge onto Captiva and continue on Captiva Drive for about four miles. South Seas Island Resort entrance will be on your right. Our beach home is three-fourths of a mile straight past the security gate, and is on the left side when you pull in the driveway for Beach Homes 1-5. |
