Called the Beach Lane View Rental......It's located on the southern border of Laie, and renovated in 2005, this 650 square foot 2nd floor vacation rental has a nice view of the surrounding area from the ocean to the mountains. The air-conditioned bedroom has a queen-size bed and there is a full size futon couch/bed in the living room. A cozy kitchen means you do not have to go out for every meal. A gas barbecue grill with side burner on the oversized 375 square foot deck is another nice place to cook and eat.
This rental is just 100 yards from a mile long sandy beach (legal beach access is at the end of the lane). It is a perfect place to walk, swim, or boogie board and the beach restrooms and showers are close by. The Polynesian Cultural Center (with its luau dinners and hula shows) is just a few minutes away. The Turtle Bay Hilton is just 15 minutes north and offers a fabulous Sunday brunch and golfing. A little further up the road are the famous North Shore surfing beaches and Haleiwa Town with all it's shopping and resturants.

Owner Description

Aloha,
I'm a husband, father, jack of all trades, coach of all sports and owner/manager of 5 vacation rentals in Hawaii. I was raised in Hawaii from the age of 8 years old after my family moved here from the USA mainland. Hawaii has so much to offer and I hope you get the chance to visit and explore this amazing state.
Why the Owner Chose Laie
We love this beach property. It's so close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The small town feeling and tight community on this beach lane is familiar since I grew up in a small town, on a cul-d-sac on Oahu.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The beach is great. Never really rough, even in the winter when the North Shore surf spots are reaching 25 feet. A perfect beach for swimming and boogie boarding. The deck of the Beach Lane View rental is my favorite. Up high with a partial water view and those grand Koolau mountains on the other side. We love to cook and eat outside on the deck and relax.

This is the second time we have stayed at he Beach Lane View. The first time was four years ago on our honeymoon. We love this place! It is great to be on the quiet side of the island and so near the PCC and the Mormon temple. The apartment is so well maintained and is just as pictured on the web site. We found a great little cafe, the Hukilau Cafe. Go north, on the highway, of the Foodland and turn on about the fourth street on the left. There is a bus stop very near, for those who don't have a car. We were disappointed that Papa Ole's was closed for the Christmas break, since that is our favorite place to eat in Laie (actually Hauula).

My friend and I stayed in the second floor apartment. I took the bedroom and she slept on the futon in the living room. She even noted that it was pretty comfortable. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. I am picky about bathrooms and the shower was excellent, large stall, clean with plenty of hotwater and good water pressure. The deck with the grill is really a plus. It was great to be able to make coffee and go out on the deck in the morning with my laptop and feel like I wasn't disturbing those still sleeping. There is noise from the highway and some neighbors, but I was able to keep the windows closed with the ceiling fan on in the bedroom and it never bothered me at night. I would stay here again.

My wife and I rented this property as part of our honeymoon tour of the States, and what a wonderful getaway this place is. It is clean and very well equipped with everything you would expect for a home from home experience. Greg also provides extras such as snorkelling equipment and boards for fun on the beach. And what a beach!! A series of small bays make it feel like your own private beach. The local shops are well stocked and staffed by friendly helpful staff. We can't wait to return and have already recommended it to friends
Owner response:Congrats again you guys....It was great to meet the two of you. Mahalo for the comment and see you again next time. Aloha, Greg

Excellent rental. Greg was there to greet us and give us instructions. The A/C in the bedroom was nice. Also, the extras, beach chairs etc were a big help. Will stay again next time we come. The closed security gate was very secure. Plenty of shopping (beer across the street).

We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was clean and comfortable. The location was nice and the beach wasn't too far to walk to. There was equip. in the kitchen to prepare food. I would definitely try and stay there again or recommend this property to my friends. Some of the highlights of our stay was the Polynesian Cultural Center which we chose to walk to (about a mile or less). Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay for snorkeling, swap meet for cheap souvenirs. Closed in parking area was safe and secure. The downside was probably the traffic if we chose to enjoy the balcony area. But even that wasn't a big problem for us. A nice area to stay if you want to stay out of the big city. Next time we will do more hiking because there were some trail heads not very far away we could have walked to.

This place is really cool. We are pleased with Greg and his property. We had everything we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed very much the bbq on the balcony; in the property we found chairs, umbrella for the beach. The outside shower is a plus. The beach is close and handy. We sure recommend this property to others for a pleasant stay in Oahu. We forgot the camera battery at the house and Greg was so kind to sent it to us. Thank you for everything Greg!!!!
