great place, the unit is on the second level of a beautiful property.. I was surprised on how well this unit was stocked, it had EVERYTHING you could ever need.. We spent most of our time on the north shore so this location was excellent, much better than your typical golf course condos found in north shore.. If you're looking for private, cozy , and a well-thought unit BOOK THIS PLACE!!..

I want to say that my girlfriend and I stayed here for 10 days in February 2012 and enjoyed it very much. The place was as nice or nicer than it was represented in the ad and was impeccably clean upon arrival. Greg the owner was very accomodating in all aspects and was very helpful in answering any questions we may have had. The home is VERY well equipped and comfortable. The beach is just a short walk away and is in our opinion one of the nicest beaches of all in the laie area. We would recommend to anyoone that this is a good place to stay and would not hesitate to stay here again should we have the opportunity. mahalo Greg. Hope to see you again....phil and suzanne

We found the location marvelous for us -- easy access to a beautiful beach, close enough to other excursions and amenities. The place itself was clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the toilet early on but Greg was very responsive and it was fixed as quickly as possible. He has a nice balance of being helpful and available but not intrusive. We appreciated all the chairs, coolers, etc. We cooked almost all our meals in. Had to be a little creative without a stove or oven, but the portable stove top worked pretty well for our 10 days. Downside? THE TRAFFIC NOISE. Main recommendation: go to the beach for sunrises every day.

This is the second time we have stayed at he Beach Lane View. The first time was four years ago on our honeymoon. We love this place! It is great to be on the quiet side of the island and so near the PCC and the Mormon temple. The apartment is so well maintained and is just as pictured on the web site. We found a great little cafe, the Hukilau Cafe. Go north, on the highway, of the Foodland and turn on about the fourth street on the left. There is a bus stop very near, for those who don't have a car. We were disappointed that Papa Ole's was closed for the Christmas break, since that is our favorite place to eat in Laie (actually Hauula).

My friend and I stayed in the second floor apartment. I took the bedroom and she slept on the futon in the living room. She even noted that it was pretty comfortable. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. I am picky about bathrooms and the shower was excellent, large stall, clean with plenty of hotwater and good water pressure. The deck with the grill is really a plus. It was great to be able to make coffee and go out on the deck in the morning with my laptop and feel like I wasn't disturbing those still sleeping. There is noise from the highway and some neighbors, but I was able to keep the windows closed with the ceiling fan on in the bedroom and it never bothered me at night. I would stay here again.

The North Shore is an amazing area to vacation with many beautiful beaches. Greg was very helpful, excellent communication, and great customer service with his renters. My wife and I rented this property as part of our honeymoon tour of the States, and what a wonderful getaway this place is. It is clean and very well equipped with everything you would expect for a home from home experience. Greg also provides extras such as snorkelling equipment and boards for fun on the beach. And what a beach!! A series of small bays make it feel like your own private beach. The local shops are well stocked and staffed by friendly helpful staff. We can't wait to return and have already recommended it to friends

We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was clean and comfortable. The location was nice and the beach wasn't too far to walk to. There was equip. in the kitchen to prepare food. I would definitely try and stay there again or recommend this property to my friends. Some of the highlights of our stay was the Polynesian Cultural Center which we chose to walk to (about a mile or less). Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay for snorkeling, swap meet for cheap souvenirs. Closed in parking area was safe and secure. The downside was probably the traffic if we chose to enjoy the balcony area. But even that wasn't a big problem for us. A nice area to stay if you want to stay out of the big city. Next time we will do more hiking because there were some trail heads not very far away we could have walked to.

This place is really cool. We are pleased with Greg and his property. We had everything we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed very much the bbq on the balcony; in the property we found chairs, umbrella for the beach. The outside shower is a plus. The beach is close and handy. We sure recommend this property to others for a pleasant stay in Oahu. We forgot the camera battery at the house and Greg was so kind to sent it to us. Thank you for everything Greg!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. There were lots of pluses to this rental and only one minus in our opinion. The pluses - the beach is a kilometer long. Sometimes we were the only ones on it. When it was busy there were 30 people or so. We drove to a local snorkeling area called Shark's Cove but later found the snorkeling at our beach to be even better. A shopping plaza a couple of minutes walk away had a grocery store and two good local restaurants, Papa Ole's for breakfast and Surfin' Tacos for lunch or supper. The room was clean, cozy and private. Wireless internet was handy. Greg was always available to answer any questions. The minus - when sitting on the deck the traffic noise from the nearby Kamehameha highway was significant. The location is better described as Hauula and not Laie.
Owner response:Thanks for you nice comments, Jeff. We like that new Surfin' Tacos restaurant too. It's true, that since there is such a small amount of land area, proportionally, between the mountains and the sea on the northeast coast of Oahu, the two lane coast road is close by. It depends on who you ask if the rental is in either Hauula or Laie, so I describe the house as on the border between the two.

Of all of the vacations on O'ahu this duplex in Hau'ula has got to be the best place we have stayed. Greg has worked overtime to make sure his guests have their needs filled. Everything one needs, this place has. Very comfortable bed & furniture, Across the street from the grocery store and post office. Close enough to La'ie for the attractions there, very quiet neighborhood with a private beach. Excellent private deck over the carport for relaxing in the cool breeze in the morning or evening. Next trip back we will be using this place again. Thanks for everything. Jeff & Ruth
Owner response:Mahalo Jeff and Ruth for the kind words. Actually, per Hawaiian Tel, the local telephone comapny, my Beach Lane View rental is in Laie. That's why on my website I say that it's on the southern border of Laie. I guess it depends on who you ask. Keep in touch and I'll see you next visit. Aloha, Greg

This is a great location for all of the Laie attractions, BYU, temple, PCC, plus the North Shore. It is close to a beautiful beach. Everything was clean and neat, and the pictures are just the way it is. A lot of little touches make it a comfortable place to stay. If we come back to Laie, we would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii, and overall it was a very enjoyable week spent away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. The accomadtions fit our needs very well. While we had a wind blowing all of the time because we were on the windward side, it was a warm wind and didn't bother us. The real plus was that everytime we went down to the beach by our cottage, we had the beach to ourselves except for a few people out for a walk. There is a disadvantage of having the cottage right on the Kamehameha highway, because we could hear the traffic going by, but again, it was nothing compared to the other side of the island. The other disadvantage was the lack of nice restaurants in Lai'e. Other than fast food, we had to go to the north shore to find restaurants, but the drive is a pleasant one, and there are many restaurants to choose from. Our best meal was at the golf club at Turtle Bay. It was a little more expensive than other restaurants, but the food was excellent. As far as I am concerned, the top attraction on the island is the Polynesian Cultural Center, and we weren't disappointed again this time. It was a wonderful experience. On our next opportunity to visit the islands we will definitely check into they type of housing we had on this trip. It is a great way to go. Thank you for all of your assistance. Richard Watkins

This is the second time that we have stayed at this rental, and it is the best way to truly enjoy the North Shore. Everything you need to relax is available and the location is perfect, right near a grocery store, many local diners, and you can see the beach from the deck. I would encourage anyone looking to stay on the North side of Oahu to make reservations here. Greg is incredibly helpful and the property is second to none. Angela and Andy Seto

I rented the Beach Lane View from November 20, 2007 to December 17, 2007. My month in Laie was relaxing, and very nice. The Beach Lane View is fabulous! I could not have asked for anything better! So many great conveniences and details! Very comfortable and clean and close to the beach. I loved every minute of it. The grounds around the property are beautiful, landscaped and peaceful. I loved the outdoor shower and the washer and dryer too! Thank you Greg for such a well kept rental. My stay was awesome! Klissa

Comment Text: My 17 & 15 year old daughters and I stayed at Greg’s Beach View property in Laie, from December 25, 07 thru Jan. 2, 08. I was wary of booking this place and in an area I had no idea about, but I took my changes and hoped for the best. I was very pleasantly surprised to say the least and so were my two very opinionated teenage daughters! The photos on line do not do this little house justice! It was bigger than I thought and so very nice, clean and had just about everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was great! The outside shower was perfect, boogie boards, towels, crock-pot, rice cooker, etc., Greg has thought of just about everything. The weather wasn’t great when we were there, but we did get one night of no rain and were able to use the BBQ, I am sure the sunrises are great too, weather permitting. I have told everyone about this place. We also got to go inside the house below the Beach View property and it was super too!! Bigger than the View, so we are thinking of renting that place and the View and maybe even the Cottage with some of our family one time! I can only say good things about Greg’s properties! Thank you! Great extras that were provided were the boogie boards (which we used everyday), beach towels and the laundry supplies which were provided.
