  &We had a lovely time in this wonderful home. The energy is delicious - the views are great - the rooms are so cozy and inviting. Wonderful linens. Home is tastefully decorated. Tiles are fabulous!!! Excellent area to get together with family and eat and celebrate. Great kitchen, all supplies to have a wonderful vacation are provided for the ultimate Malibu experience. Beautiful landscaping and flowers, very intimate and sensual as well. So happy that we found this listing and were blessed with the opportunity to rent this house. We are so grateful.   My family and I stayed in your home over the weekend when my sister graduated from Pepperdine. The location was perfect, and the home was beautiful. We loved having wi fi, access to laundry, and the beautiful drive up to the house—it reminded us of our trip to the souther coast of Spain. However, a little bit of tlc would go a long way! My husband and I were in the master suite with our son. Our towels were frayed on the edges with some holes in them. The bed linens were very worn. The attic access door was coming loose from the wall and seemed like it would fall any minute! The balcony off the master suite is beautiful and the view can't be beat. However, the table top is missing, there is just a metal frame of the table. The house keepers were not very thorough—we had an empty roll of toilet paper on of holder (with extras underneath the sink) and bird droppings on the outdoor patio furniture. The kitchen was pretty well stocked in terms of dishes, but the dishwasher didn't wash things very well (and we followed directions carefully) so we washed quite a bit by hand. The corner cupboard door was also near to falling off. The property description mentioned that the house had a high chair, booster chair, and crib for small children. These were stored in the garage and were not very clean. I did not feel comfortable having my 2 year old use these, and we had him balance on the bench at the dining table. The garage doors need updating—because they require so much clearance to open it really limited parking at the house. The car my parents rented did not fit into the garage with such a small door opening. We really did like the house, but there were some things that needed some attention!   An exquisite view and lovely house! The owner is professional, pleasant and helpful. Our stay was delightful. However there were a few items needing maintenance and a few things the housekeeper missed. My favorite amenities were the beautifully designed decor, the mediterranean tiling, wonderfully light-bright windows with awesome views in every room and the two classy outdoor eating areas. My least favorite things were the outdated garage doors, and items needing maintenance/cleaning (broken blinds, broken cabinets, broken table leg, bugs, old towels, odor). Owner was glad to hear feedback and plans to fix problems. Overall a lovely experience.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We really enjoyed the home and the scenic views from the master bedroom balcony. Only one minor comment would be the outside patio lightings. A bit dark after hours. But overall we would come rent the home again.

  Owner response: We have plans to put in patio lighting, so the outside can be enjoyed during daylight savings time! Too bad we didn't have it installed before this review, we would have gotten 5 stars!

  Great home, that has everything, on a quiet street. Short drive to the beach. Couldn't ask for anything better!

  My friends and I had a great time at the Malibu house. It was beautiful, appointed just as advertised, and the view was extraordinary. We loved speculating about who all the "Big House" owners are, behind their fancy locked gates, some of which can be seen from the balconies. The ONLY thing we had trouble with was the internet, and that was minor. It was a great house, and we would return in a minute!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  Owner response: We sometimes have had a little problem with the wi-fi, but it is easily resolved with a call to the cable company. I'm glad you had a great time!

  Peaceful location....the drive up is definitely an adventure!!! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen....my niece who is a freshman at pepperdine made brownies and cookies to take back to her dorm....the weekend we went was 100 degrees in Malibu so the house was broiling when we got there so it took awhile for the air conditioning to kick in but once it did it kept cool. Nice cosy house with some original Spanish tiles...deck off master was great for breakfast and hanging out. Overall a good value for the money...some things were a bit old but for a weekend rental, a good place.

  This was the perfect spot to unwind while our kids were at a sports camp at nearby Pepperdine. We loved the drive up to the house and the gorgeous view from the upstairs deck along with the wonderful breezes. The house has everything you need and was exactly as described in the listing. It was spacious enough for our family and friends to spread out yet cozy at the same time. The beach is just at the bottom of the hill. Be sure to eat at Malibu Seafood across from the beach -- we liked it so much that we went back twice. The owners are helpful and easy to work with. A great find!

  What a fantastic home for our girls get away!! We cooked and lounged and went hiking and to the beach. Wonderful working with the owners. Spectacular views and house lay out. Thank you for a very memorable weekend!!!

  As one begins the windy drive to this diamond there is a great energy. The home is landscaped to perfection with special touches throughout that surprise you and fits into the natural habitat of the Malibu Canyon. The interior you feel immediate warmth and comfort. It is exquisitely decorated and oh so lush. Extremely comfortable from the couches to the bed you crawl into at night for a great sleep. The linens are silky soft and the towels fluffy and big. I found it to be a place during our stay I didn't want to leave...was very content to relax both inside and out. The view is amazing and everything smells so good. The kitchen is great, everything one needs and more! I loved cooking my favorite dishes! I live in Seattle and I have stayed here every year either with just my boys or a reunion with high school girlfriends. Thank you Tricia and Paul for putting your heart and soul into this magnificent and cozy home. Love it!!!
