We were four ladies staying at the condo, and it was great! Very secure, and the Maui Banyan staff were all very friendly. The beach is actually very close - literally a 5 minute walk, and we're slow! We carried the provided umbrellas, mats, and chairs to the beach with no problem. The snorkeling is just about the best on the island. Lots of turtles and coral. There are restaurants, stores, and cafes within walking distance, but the location is pretty central to everything on the island. I'd recommend this condo to anyone. Have a great vacation!

Aloha Valerie, The four of us had a wonderful visit to Maui. Your condo is a real gem. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the lanai. Having the beach so close is great too. No need to pack up the car and drive each time we wanted some beach time. Our recent Maui vacation was made all that more special because of the condo choice, reccomended by our daughter and family.Clean and bright and all ammenities in the kitchen,and linen department.,you can tell Val and Bill take personal ownership and not just a "rental" .Photos were totaly accurate .Nice to recieve a call from Val to make sure we are happy and check for any issues. This is a definite pick for any family and friends...Location is perfect with the ocean 5 mins away and we love the walk to the stores near bye.,and great little eating places, and Pizza delivery!!. Most of our meals were right at the condo, bar-b-ques always clean..as is the pool ..The covered carpark is a plus as is the "secure" internet and free call to Canada. Thanks Val and Bill... Our family of 4 with 2 boys ages 13 and 15 had a wonderful 2 week stay in this condo over Christmas 2012. It's in a great location in the complex: easy walk-up to 2nd level, close to one of the two pools and bbq areas. Also a great location in Kihei: across from Kam III Beach and close enough to shops (cinnamon buns and ice cream!). The condo had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, mats, cooler, etc.) and for cooking and relaxing after our days in the water, sun and sand! Valerie greeted us with a phone call upon our arrival and assured us that we could call anytime if we needed anything which was a nice touch. Highly recommend this condo!!

We were very pleasantly surprised!! I have had experiences when a condo has been misrepresented, certainly not in this case. We (my granddaughters 12 & 10, their mother and I) loved it. The pictures you see are exactly what you get. Everything was very nice and clean. Beach toys and mats, we felt very much at home. The location was excellent, shops, restaurants were walking distance, also my favorite the shaved ice parlor!! The gesture that really impressed me was when Valerie called us the day after our arrival asking if everything was alright and if we needed anything. She gave us tips on the area. No one has ever called us before, VERY IMPRESSIVE!!. The message it gave me was that she cared about her guests. We will stay there again. Thank you Valerie for attention.

All descriptions about this condo are very true.. we truly enjoyed our vacation here and can't wait to come back. 1 minute walk to the beach and very close to stores and to walk to restuarants. We arrived super late and pretty much crashed. The next day we discovered most of the stuff hidden in the condo. They provided so many things from beach toys for my girls to umbrellas fro protection from the sun. It was so nice to be able to cook and not have to do the restaurant thing everyday 3x and day for a family of 5. Very easy to get to anything. We didfarther away things like the road to Hana and all the way to the top of Haleakala (the volcano) and got beautiful pictures. We did the right close things like Lahina and the Maui Ocean center and then the really close thing like the beach and the pool. The condo itself is very good for family things with the bedrooms on each side of the livingroom/kitchen it was easy to just meet in the middle. Plenty of tvs with cable for the various shows you want to watch. Everything you need is in the kitchen, and there is internet to connect with the outside world again. It was clean and up to date. They were extremely helpful for certain places to go to get collectables and such to bring home. We recommend getting out, going to see the sites near or far. The road to Hana and the volcano are pretty much all day trips. But the Maui Ocean center and Lahina are afternoon or date night trips. The beach and the pool are everyday if you have kids.

We booked with Mauibabbe and were not disappointed! My mother-in-law is still raving about this lovely condo! It has everything you could need or want when staying in Maui. Our family of 5 were very comfortable here. Condo is well maintained and clean (beds comfy!). "Owners cupboard" well stocked with everything you could need at the beach, (chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, sand toys etc). Unit is located between the two pools on site so an easy walk to the pool & BBQs. We have stayed at the Banyan before, but found this unit to be an excellent fit for our family. Owners were lovely to deal with. Very quick to respond to any questions. The free Wi-fi & long distance calling were a bonus too! Looking forward to returning in the future!

We have stayed at this condo before and always are eager to get back! The condo has everything we could possibly need during our stay in Maui! We have to children and very much enjoy having the two twin beds in their own room, as well as having a very private bedroom for us! We all love that there are t.v's in every bedroom. This condo is always very clean which is a big deal to us! We love having the washer and dryer, dishwasher as well as garberator at our convenience.The condo is stocked with boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, matts and even snorkel gear! We also enjoyed having two full bathrooms and two showers for easy beach clean up! The owners of the condo make your stay easy and take care of all of our needs! They called to make sure everything was to our liking! Hassel free check in and straight forward instructions!Great people and great value! I'd reccomend this condo to everyone! We count the days to return as soon as we leave!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 2 & 4) just returned from 10 days at this fantastic condo. I knew it was going to be great from all of the comments I read, and it was even better than I imagined. I couldn't believe how clean it was. The upgraded kitchen, marble bathrooms, and tile floor throughout made that difference. This condo is very spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a drying rack, boogie boards, beach towels, large cooler, small cooler, ice packs, beach mats, snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrella stroller etc!! I spoke to many others around the pool who didn't have any of those items. The beach is conveniently across the street and there is shave ice, ice cream, shops and restaurants a quick walk away. It is obvious the owners take pride in this condo and therefore so do the people who stay in it. I recommend this condo to everyone and will stay here again for sure.

Again, we returned to Mauibabbe's Ohana Hideaway recently and again we were extremely pleased. Noticed the continuing upgrading and improvements to the showers. They certainly maintain their unit to a very high standard. Only wish we could have stayed much longer but our schedule wouldn't permit it. Nice quiet location with covered parking and within easy walking distance to a great beach and nearby shopping. Morning sunshine on the lanai is the perfect start to every day. This year, they have arranged to have unlimited free phone calling to anywhere in Canada and the USA which was a BIG bonus. Love the personal touch of Valerie checking in with us after a day or two of arrival to ensure everything is as expected. Gotta love her...! The unit is very clean and comfortable and would recommend it to anyone staying in Kihei .....you will not be disappointed. And again, we'll be back.!

Maui Banyan is very well situated in the heart of Kihei. Everything you need is conveniently close to it. The unit itself is well-equipped, it even has a rice cooker and a pressure cooker for people who love to cook and save a few dollars. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. Myself and 3 friends came from opposite ends of Canada to enjoy a vacation on Maui. We stayed at this condo and were very satisfied with the accommodations. It is spacious, clean and well - equipped. The condo is located at (in my opinion) the nicer end of Kihei close to Wailea. It is convenient to many ammenities and across the road from a very nice beach. I discovered, unfortunately on my last morning there, that the reef at the left end of this beach is vast and deep and full of marine life. I would have snorkelled there every day had I known how beautiful it was. We enjoyed most of our dinners out on the lanai where it was peaceful and private. The tennis court and pools were never crowded and the property is very clean and well - managed. Valerie was very friendly and helpful and Bill sounded like a nice guy too. I would stay here again.

We recently visited this condo and had a wonderful vacation. The unit is exactly as pictured, and is amply stocked with everything you need. The owners are thoughtful, attentive and very considerate of their guests. They even called upon our check-in just to make sure everything was okay. Pools are great, beach access is literally a three minute walk. The BBQ's at the pools were brand-new and high quality. Overall, a great location, great condo we would highly recommend and are considering when our next trip can be!!

My Maui Vacation with 5 year and 8 month old

I have visited Maui on many occasions and this was by far the best trip. Much of it can be attributed to our housing at the Maui Banyan Condo. The large bedrooms, laundry facilities and dish washer allowed us to experience the same comforts of home. The showers were roomy and had great water pressure. The two pools and multiple grills on the grounds and the 3 min walk to the beach were exactly as advertised. The breeze though the large sliding doors to the decks were enough to keep us comfortable but it was great to know there were multiple AC units if needed after a long day at the beach. The condo grounds are meticulously manicured and surrounded by an array of wildlife. There was also a first class tennis court with available rackets and balls for free at the front desk. We would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a wonderful and convenient place to stay on their next trip to Maui. I should also note that the owners called us upon our arrival to ensure everything was meeting our needs which was much appreciated.

We just came back from 3 weeks in Mauibabbe's condo and would highly recommend it. It was beautifully clean and maintained,with a full set of appliances and everything you need to do your own cooking. The view from the lanais was so pretty with palm trees blowing in the breeze and many different coloured bouganvillea bushes. We always enjoyed our breakfasts on the big lanai watching birds, geckos and even a mongoose. The walk to the beach is a short 5 minutes. There are several restaurants and stores within walking distance. We truly loved it!

Had the pleasure of returning to Bill & Valerie's unit in November 2010 and again was pleasantly surprised with the recent upgrades of a new shower stall replacing the tub and the backsplash above the kitchen counter. Also noticed a new water heater and tile on the lanai. Very clean unit and certainly well maintained & stocked with every ammenity including high-speed wireless internet which not many places offer. This was not our first time in their unit and will certainly not be our last. We love the location and the peacefulness it has to offer. Located across the street from a beautiful clean beach and nearby shopping in South Kihei. It is hard to find owners that care about the well-being of their guests and continually maintain and upgrade the unit. Will definetely be going back again...! Thanks for making another great stay in your unit so enjoyable. We'll be back....!!!

We stayed for a week and wished it were longer. A well-equipped Condo in beautiful surroundings with very helpful owners who made sure we knew just what to do to get organized and settled in. We appreciated the modern kitchen, patio furniture, views from the decks and very comfy beds! Perfect for two couples or a family. We'll be back.

"What can I say? This is the ultimate vacation property. I felt as if it was very important to Ms. Painter that all go well and we have a wonderful experience. Ms Painter took the time to call and follow up on our stay. The property was clean, spacious and well maintained. Traveling with 3 teenage girls can prove to be exhausting if you do not have proper facilities, my daughter had a great time at the condo and we had everything that we needed to make our visit a great one. "We spent 16 days in Bill’s and Valerie’s Maui Banyan condo. If we return to Maui, we would like to stay there again. It supplies everything one might need in the kitchen and much of what one might want in terms of beach equipment. And it is spacious in comparison to most vacation apartments/condos. There are two things which make it particularly desirable. First, it is cool inside it without AC even in the summer (we were there in June-July). When you come back from the beach in the afternoon, the temperature inside will be cool and will stay relatively cool even if you open the sliding doors to the lanai. Second, the lanai is shaded at all times (at least in the summer) and is free from flying bugs during the day and at night (at least in the summer in our experience). We were able to dine late in the evening on the lanai without being bothered at all by insects. A big plus for us. We stayed on the other side of Building P, i.e., the north side, the previous year. We preferred the south side. It is quieter and more private. Also, Valerie’s advice about car rentals saved me about $200." - Anonymous, Milton, MA, 07/12/10

Staying in Maui for spring break with our kids, we decided on Valerie's fabulous condo at the Maui Banyan. We loved the location, and especially the condo being on the second floor was perfect for having a view but not too many stairs to climb every day. Everything in the condo was clean and functional, and Valerie's pics gave us great comfort that we would get what we saw--and we did! It was clean and comfortable, and nice and quiet and safe. We also enjoyed BBQing at the pools most nights. Make sure you use the plastic containers and cups, as the property staff rightly to tell you to remove any glass from the enclosed pool area. Surfing, beach play, and golf were highlights for us this trip, and I finally made it up-country to Kula, which is well worth the drive for a change of pace. Enjoy!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Valerie's condo. After my first stay at the Maui Banyan I swore I would never stay there again because of the tiny lanai we had (we had a one bedroom)...but then I saw the photos on VRBO and realized there was a difference / more lanai room by upgrading to a 2 bedroom. I loved having the view of the "green belt" from the lanai - this unit has one of the best views while also being more private than others because of the palms trees that grow up to the 2nd floor level. I loved the kitchen granite counter tops and spacious layout. Most of all, the location was perfect. Kam II is our favorite frolic beach and is a close walk. We'd just get up in the morning, grab a boogie board and some towels and walk to the beach - swim, come back and shower off in the showers that the Maui Banyan provides outside in the front. There are 5 big barbeques at the pool area and the Maui Banyan people keep them very clean. Seems like every body we met around the pool was from Canada, Australia or Alaska! We recommend this condo, and would definitely stay here again.

It was an absolutely beautiful condo, it's was very clean and well kept up, we had everything we needed. Everything was so close by like, the beach Kama'ole II it was only a couple minutes away, their was also close by restaurants like Mooses, even the shopping was close you only had to walk a few blocks to get your groceries, this was all a bonus. This is definetly a home away from home, we will see you soon. We would also like to Thank Valerie for phoning us a couple of times to make sure the condo was all clean for our stay, and that we had everything we needed. Thank -You Valerie!

Our family of four has been to Maui several times but particularly enjoyed our stay at the Painter's condo. Its central location gives great walking access to restaurants and shops, is just across the street from Kam II beach, it's far enough from the road to miss the traffic noise, it is on the second floor so has easy stair access plus the elevator is available when you have luggage and groceries. The condo lay-out is great, and we found the breezes and the ceiling fans more than sufficient so that we didn't have to use the a/c at all. The lanais overlook a natural area and are screened by palm trees - they give a real sense of privacy and it is a real pleasure not to be overlooking the pool or BBQ area as you do in a lot of places. It's also a nice touch that Valerie phones on your arrival to welcome you and to ensure that everything is ok. We would definitely stay here again.

We were really lucky to have a friend recommend this condo. We came to Maui to attend a wedding and stayed with three adult children for eight nights. Not only did the condo fit our needs, but Valerie was so personable and attentive. You can spot the ocean, but the best is that the whole outside wall is mainly a view of colorful flowers and green space since there's no building for some distance on that side. The master suite lanai is cozy, and the larger is good for fresh air relaxing for quite a few people! You don't miss out on the fun if you cook in. The kitchen area is efficient to work in; every dish, pot, appliance and gadget we needed was there, down to a grater for the parmesan. The granite-topped island is sweet for serving. Our stay was completely enjoyable. The condo was very clean (and I'm particular) and has a tropic decor perfect for a vacationing mood. The building and grounds are very well maintained.

Enjoyed staying at Bill & Val's condo at the Maui Banyon in Kihei. Unit has a 2nd lock-off bedroom with it's own bathroom which we didn't use but certainly offers privacy if travelling with another couple or family. Very clean and well maintained, well stocked and recently renovated. Great location in Kihei and close to a very enjoyable beach and shopping at a nearby mall. Couldn't ask for anything else...it's all there. We will definetely plan on staying there again...you will not be disappointed. It was so quiet at night..! Can't wait to return.

What a fabulous vacation! Our time on Maui was all we had dreamed of and more. Valerie and Bill's condo at Maui Banyan exceeded our expectations. The condo unit was clean, bright, well stocked, nicely appointed and in a great location. The photos on VRBO were an accurate depiction of what the condo looked like.We have three kids and with the two bedrooms and two baths we felt we had plenty of space. Valerie deserves a big THANK YOU as she was so helpful throughout the entire vacation planning process. We hope to return very soon!

Our family of four stayed at this property for a week in July, 2009. The home was wonderful as everything was exactly as Valerie and Bill had described it and as shown on the VBRO website. The condo was very private and we felt very safe, we ran into the security staff numerous times. Well equiped kitchen with all the amenities. Could not have asked for anything better. There are two wonderful pools with five fabulous barbeques at each pool for you to enjoy. The beach is just across the road and this was the most relaxing vacation we have had.

A huge "thank you" to Valerie and Bill for their hospitality and allowing us the use of their Condo! Excellent access to Kamaole Beach..one of the best beaches on Maui! Grounds were beautifully kept - very well maintained. The Condo itself was very clean and well supplied. Nights were great as it was very quiet and it was a pleasure waking up to the birds singing in the morning! Thank you for the use of the beach chairs and the boogie boards! Our girls had a blast with them! We definitely recommend Val and Bill's condo to anyone visiting Maui! Will do so again the next time we visit!

What a perfect location!!! We had a fantastic vacation while staying at this condo. Everything is furnished, it's clean and quiet!! We would recommend this for your stay as it is so close to the beach.

Just a Great Holiday at wonderful Condo, ideally located in Kihei right across from one of the "best beachs" in Maui...the Kamaole 2. We really enjoyed snorkeling with the large turtles found around the coral off the points. Would advise the use of the Painter's Condo to anyone interested in cleanliness, convenience and overall relaxation...you won 't be disappointed!

We enjoyed the condominium very much and would give it very high marks for being accurately represented. We were a group of 2 adults and two teenage children. We appreciated the owner's closet and made a couple of additions before we left. Valerie was very generous with her time and gave us many helpful tips regarding car rentals, flea markets etc. The location is very handy to the beautiful beach and there were all of the services required within a very short distance. The condominium itself was very clean and well equipped. The grounds were well kept and the pools were always frequently used at the end of the day. We had no problems and everything happened exactly as Valerie said that it would. We will most certainly stay there again should we return to Maui. Thanks for everything!

A home away from home--everything one needed to be comfortable and relaxed. We only stayed a few days while waiting for our own condo days because of flights etc. but enjoyed everything about this condo and would consider staying again. We appreciated all the little "extras" that made us feel welcome and gave us a chance to unwind and relax. Enjoyed sitting on the lanai, listening to the birds and other activity in the green space. Thanks for everyting!

This condo is great and very clean. Has everthing you could think of. The kitchen is fully equipped, (even though we ate out the whole time.) It was so peaceful to sit on the lanai, drink coffee and enjoy the view. The beach is just right across the street. The grounds are very well kept.Can't wait to go back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed your spacious condo in Maui. ,with 4 adults and 2 little ones we had lots of room.. The kitchen was great to work in and we cooked all but 2 nights. Location is prime, quiet yet close to all amenities.We love the beach just minutes away, and great shopping so close. A real little gem of a place.

We had the pleasure of staying at Bill & Val's condo for a week. Not only did we have beautiful weather but the condo was just perfect. It was spotless when we arrived, very bright and cheery and very spacious. The two lanais offered a beautiful place to relax, enjoy a book, sit in the sun as well as listen to the birds chirping. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Maui and if we return we will surely give Val a call. Thanks for the great time.

Great place to stay in Kihei

We had a great stay for a week in January 2008 at this condo in the Maui Banyan complex. Close to everything - shopping, restaurants, beaches within a 5-minute walk. The condo ws clean, roomy, and had the conveniences to allow us to comfortably stay and play. The convenience and ambiance aside, we only spent the late evenings and early mornings in the condo vicinity. Although Kamaole 2 and 1 beaches have recovered nicely and are quite inviting, we took it upon ourselves to also sample the smorgasbord of beaches and activities available all over Maui, including the spectacular beaches we had remembered from previous vacations - including "Makena" Big Beach south of Wailea, and Kaanapali north of Lahaina. We used the extensive cooking facilities in the condo (as well as the BBQ's in the Maui Banyan pool areas) for a couple of our suppers and all breakfasts, and also enjoyed tennis in January (very different from Calgary Canada in January). Although the little dining area is quite nice in the condo, we always opted to dine alfresco on the lanai, with its similar outdoor table. We also sampled the area dining, including a nice Mexican meal at Fred's a block away and great seafood at Wave Bar a mile north. Tried Moose Mcgillicuddy's upstairs from fred'a for an after-dinner dring but walked out due to lack of service. Their loss - we had a nicer drink in the condo. Excellent supper also at "Mulligan's on Blue" on the Wailea Blue golf course. There were two AC units in the condo. Since we were there primarily in the early morning and evening, we only used them for a half hour upon re-entering to freshen things up a bit. The ceiling fans and patio doors were quite sufficient other than that to maintain a comfortable temperature in January. Plan to return next year. We had waited too long to return to Maui. We hope to be able to rent from "Mauibabbe" again.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We found the condo bright and roomy for our family of four. It is situated far enough from the road overlooking a green belt that it is quiet yet a short few minute walk to the beach. We awoke to the birds chirping each morning! I especially liked the tile floors. Valerie and Bill are a pleasure to deal with and we thank them for being such gracious hosts.

We had a fantastic time in Maui. Valerie was extremely helpful right from the start offering tips on car rentals and places to see. The condo was absolutely perfect for us. We couldn't have asked for anything more suitable. It was very clean, in a great location and had all the amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

This condo has it all. You will not be disppointed. It is very spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and has a large lanai (which many units in the Maui Banyan do not have). The owner was really accomodating and easy to work with. The unit is in a great location for beach, restaurants, and shopping and the complex has everything you could want, including, pools, hot tubs, barbeque grills, and tennis courts.

Our family of four (2 teenage boys) spent a week in Valerie's condo in July. We found the accomodations clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated. A short walk to the beach. For our first trip to Maui, we found the Kihei location to be very central to touring all the island. Plenty of parking. Check-in was easy. Staff helpful. Plenty of beach toys in the unit. Valerie gave us plenty of tips on shopping and restaurants. With our rental car we toured all on our own, even flying to Honolulu for a day. The kitchen allowed us to have some light meals including breakfast in so we only ate out once or twice a day. We are sure this worked out better than any all-inclusive trip we looked at. We give Valerie's unit our highest recommendation. The Bruce Kleinschmidt family

As usual our stay in Maui was fantastic. This was our 3rd visit to paradise and it won't be our last! Val's condo was very accomodating. It was very clean and spacious. A very short walk to the beautiful beach and shops and a very short drive to beautiful Wailea. This was our first time staying in Kihei and we loved it. Val was very helpful to us from day one. I would recommend her condo to anyone and we will definitley stay there again.

We were so pleased to arrive at such a spacious, clean and well-appointed condo. after such a long trip from the frozen north. We particularly liked the large master bedroom and ensuite. It was almost like having another living room. You definitely feel a sense of privacy here. We also appreciated the brightness of the condo, as the windows make up one whole wall of the unit. As for cooking, you couldn't ask for a better set up, as the kitchen island is so handy, and the kitchen itself is very well-equipped. We especially enjoyed listening to the local classic rock (60's and 70's) radio station on the sound system while dining. Valerie was extremely helpful and informative from day one, even offering tips on local car rental agencies and airport tips. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a great place. This was our second visit to Kihei and we were delighted with Valerie's condo. It was great for two couples - clean and extremely well supplied with everything you could want for a perfect vacation in paradise. The condo is located close to the beach and shopping but far enough away to avoid traffic noise. The pools and BBQ's are well maintained and again, close enough to be convenient but far enough away that you don't hear any noise from that area. The property is well landscaped and cared for and Valerie's lanai view of the bird sanctuary is a welcome sight each morning.

We had a wonderful week on Maui for our daughter's wedding. P-207 at the Banyan was a perfect place for us with everything we needed. We saw turtles, moray eels, a spiny lobster, and tons of fish while snorkeling at the Kam 2 beach right across the street. I hope we can visit again in the not too distant future!
