Why the Owner Chose Saugatuck

Saugatuck is such a beautiful area with Lake Michigan and this home sits on Lake Goshorn.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The beautiful views and the warm water of the lake! My kids actually enjoy swimming in Lake Goshorn more than Lake Michigan because Lake Goshorn is so warm in July and August. We have a firepit outdoors, a paddle boat, kayak and canoe. There is a bike trail into downtown Saugatuck is just down the road - so bring your bikes!

Owner's Map of Saugatuck

Pictured is my boy with a "catch."

I am a busy mom of a teenage boy and preteen triplet girls. My husband is a business owner in the next resort town over, South Haven. Since we are such a large family and are too large for one hotel room, I discoverd the comfort of staying in vacation homes. I maintain my own properties, with the help of my kids in the suummer, and make sure they are clean and well kept.

What a wonderful vacation home! My entire family enjoyed the home, the lake and the lovely town of Saugatuck. It was like a vacation in a bottle. The home is well maintained and beautiful. We can't describe how comfortable the wonderful owners have made it. The kitchen was perfect for our large family. We enjoy cooking together and there was more than enough space. We loved the open floor plan, it allowed us to all spend more time together. We recommend adding the paddle boat to your stay, the lake is too beautiful to miss. Book us for next year!

Great Home For Family Vacation-Beautiful Lake -Great Location

Date of Stay: 07/30/11 Review Submitted: 08/11/11

What a fun, relaxing time our family had in this wonderful vacation home! Having the beautiful lake right outside was great. The kids loved jumping right off the dock and swimming out to the swim raft.Having the canoe, kayak and paddle boat right there was an added bonus. The guys enjoyed the fishing and even the little ones caught fish.A joy to watch their excitement. The house had plenty of room for our family of 14.Great kitchen, comfy couch and a large sunroom for relaxing with a book or taking a nap.Plenty of toys, games and books for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table. Staying here we were close to everything. Beautiful Oval Beach and Saugatuck Dunes Beach were just minutes away as well as downtown Saugatuck with it's numerous shops and restaurants. With the bike trail the kids could walk or ride their bikes into town. The owner is so nice and had helpful suggestions.Hope to stay in this home again and would certainly recommend vacationing here for a great time.

Book Club Retreat

Guest: PattiV (Chicago)
Date of Stay: 10/09/10 Review Submitted: 10/12/10

What a super place to have our annual book club retreat. 10 ladies in a beautiful home with enough beds and baths. The decor was right out of a magazine! The river's view of the fall folliage and water fowl was so relaxing. Every member complimented this site and our stay. We had dinner one night in town amongst a friendly community and good shopping along the main strip while we waited for our reservation. It was an easy drive from Chicago, just off the expressway.

Owner response:Thank you, Book Club Ladies, I am so glad you had a nice time!

Beautiful, relaxing summer getaway

Guest: prune (Clinton Twp, MI)
Date of Stay: 06/20/09 Review Submitted: 07/16/09

The house was perfect for our annual family vacation. We had 4 families (13 people) and had plenty of room. The pool table was enjoyed daily by the guys until it was time for dinner and we had to turn it into the dining table. We had perfect weather to be on the lake every day and relax in the evening with a campfire right on the backyard. The house is beautifully decorated and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. I would highly recommend this property.

The home is lovely. It was built to accomodate 3+ families in luxury and elegance. The home is also very clean with numerous amenities. If I cannot buy it, then I will just have to rent it every summer. The house is minutes to downtown Saugatuck and Lake Michigan beaches. Thank you Barrie for your many kindnesses to our family. What a wonderful welcome to acknowledge each of our family by name. The bakery items were super-delicious. During our past 10 years of finding "fall" accommodations - - yours has been the BEST! A big thank you to your wife for the cleanliness that we especially appreciate. The beauty of the colorful trees, the pool table and the paddleboat and lovely home made our weekend a very memorable one. Thanks and we hope to return.

What a wonderful weekend! We came out here for our mom's 60th birthday. The boys had a fabulous time enjoying football on the flat screen and shooting pool. Morning tea on the patio, pictionary in the evening. What fond memories!! We enjoyed the paddleboat, the shopping in town and our walks on the beach. Thanks to your warm house that is cozy and spacious all at the same time! Looking forward to coming back. Love, the whole family
