Leave the hustle behind and sneak away to this island cottage by the Sound; sink into Island Time. Leave the computer, the TV, the radio, the phone... and sip your morning tea on the sunny porch swing while the hummingbirds hover at the feeder overhead, the ferry chugs by, and the train whistle skips across the water from the mainland. Then mosey over to the garden to pick some berries for breakfast or salad fixin' for lunch. Let the kids comb the beach for hours(1 block away), dragging back all the treasures it has to offer. After dinner settle into some family time over games and puzzles.

This, and many of the surrounding cottages, are some of the original cottages remaining from the old Jim John Resort. Although the boat house and pier are no longer standing, the boat ramp remains and is still useable; so bring the kayaks, canoes, fishing boat, and enjoy the breathtaking island surroundings.

Located walking distance from the ferry, it has access to all the amenities of the cities. But why bother, when Whidbey Island offers so much; from Horseback Riding and Farmer's Markets to Fine Dining and Theater. If you prefer to stay closer to 'home,' beach walks, berry picking, gardening, bicycling, clamming/crabbing, boating, or loose yourself in a good book. For a week take your time back, relax, and spend it in leisure.
