This FIRST FLOOR unit is in terrific condition, Italian tile floors - throughout, space to move about – not cramped – and yet everything you need is there!! Full and complete Bath and Kitchen (I like to cook!!); storage space for your stuff
While we do have a SEVEN (7) night adult minimum stay, (please!) we designed this studio for couples, who often wish to stay 14 nights or more. Along with our affordable rates, our 14+ night guests receive a gift of wine and bread upon arrival. ALL guests leave with a hand-made ribbon lei and a bar of homemade soap!!! This is ALL about YOU!!
Across the street from your complex is the Kalepolepo Beach Park and the newly constructed ($2 million) NOAA Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and Education Center. (Whale watching, great October to March) and Kalepolepo Pond, once used (see map) as a fishing pond for an ancient Hawaiian village, now serves as an ideal wading, snorkeling, and swimming area.
Other beach access is just a few minutes drive north OR south!
Peak behind some of those side streets. You'll be surprised at the beaches you can find.
Kihei Bay Surf Condominium Association is a seven building, two story condominium vacation rental complex which serves as the perfect HOME BASE for all those excursions throughout the island(s) as well as the ideal place to relax in real quiet comfort!
This is the perfect place to hang up those drab hometown clothes and not put them on again until you have to leave . . . if then! It's all part of the value! It's part of being Maui!!
ourmauihometoo! #141, is a QUIET - FIRST FLOOR, NON-STREET location. We repeat, NON-STREET, unit, with garden view, and will accommodate two people in the very comfortable, deluxe queen-size bed. (The sofa bed does convert into a queen bed also.) Why trudge up and down steps and hotel floors? Why pay $300 and more a night to wait for an elevator?
Off your living area, your private rattan furnished lanai overlooks the tropical landscaped surroundings of the garden area and the newly re-surfaced tennis court. This studio condo is air conditioned and has a designer ceiling fan. There is No Smoking and No pets, Please and Thank You!
Our Maui home too! #141 offers a FULL and COMPLETE KITCHEN with every necessary thing - rice cooker, coffee grinder, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, utensils, crock-pot, and dishes - be it microwave or gourmet; dishwasher and automatic ice maker. I do our cookin' so I outa know!! Just add food (and a little scotch)! (Be sure to stop off at COSTCO, K-Mart and Wal-Mart on your way in from the airport!)
Feel like Bar-B-Queing? Two beautiful, gas efficient, Bar-B-Ques and tables in the common eating area . . . right by the pool, of course! Need some Gray Poupon? Less than five minutes south on Kihei Road there’s Time Market, Foodland and Safeway, (accepts Vons cards,) Long’s Drugs (they have absolutely everything!), and many other shops, and restaurants!! We are centrally located.
Your bathroom has been refurbished and supplied with quality fluffy towels, soap, a hair dryer, and - LADIES, - a magnified, make-up mirror. PLUS home-made soap to take with you when you leave. This is ourmauihometoo #141! get to know that person!!
Misc.: Iron/ironing board, broom, vacuum cleaner, beach chairs, mats/beach towels, (under the bathroom vanity) and sturdy ice chest.
Unfortunately, we cannot supply enough time!
OUR TERMS:
1. Minimum Deposit starting at $200 US Dollars required to secure the reservation and must be received within seven (7) days of valid
request to avoid automatic cancellation.
2. All rates subject to tax.
3. Full payment due at least 30 days prior to arrival date.
4. Seven (7) night minimum stay
5. This condominium unit is best suited for adults.
CHECK-IN/OUT: Your arrival is scheduled for after 3:00 PM and your departure is before 11:00 AM.
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
For a deposit refund, less cancellation charge of $100, cancellation is required 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. In case of cancellation within 30 days of arrival, deposit will be retained. Cancellation on or after arrival date, all refunds forfeited. If space can be re-rented, a pro-rate refund will be issued.

At the time the price was right, the location was right, the neighbors were right, the layout of the complex was right and it was right for us. We enjoy entertaining others and this seems like a way of doing that!! . . . and it's VERY affordable!!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Very friendly neighbors amongst the permanent and other guests. Many of out guests comment on the friendliness of residents and other guests... The vacation visitors are most enjoyable and they add a sense of inter-nationality amongst the guests. People from all over the world, friendly, just exchanging experiences. The pool, Jacuzzi, landscaping, close proximity to the NOAA whale education right the street, help to promote this atmosphere. We are centrally situated on the island of Maui. Want a new experience? The bus stops right in front of the complex. Try it!!
Seven two floor buildings. All basically the same floor plan. Look for VRBO 58254; VRBO 70386; VRBO 180618; & VRBO 182197. All Right across the street from the ocean!! Located in Kihei, HI.
Brand new National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration - located just stops from Kihei Bay Surf. Their back porch overlooking the bay is spectacular - especially when you see the whales.

Retired from a large non-profit organization; graduate degree. This is the fun part of life and . . . in the middle of Maui. This takes up a lot of our time but we do it for you, so you'll feel comfortable!! This is ourmauihometoo!!
Bev. has just retired after many years of hospital nursing. She's also doing research to write a book about Armine Von Temsky, a writer of Hawaiian novels.Hopefully with the extra (?) off time she'll be able to spend more time in that endeavor.

Hal: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the privilage of renting your unit #141 in Kehei. I must say that it was more than what we expected, all the comforts of home were there, and we really enjoyed the condo. Everyone was so friendly that we met there, and we would certainly not hesitate to recommend to anyone your place to rent. We will most likely be back to communicate with you sometime in the future regarding another rental. I understand you own others in this complex, are they also up for rental..... Once again many thanks for the privilege of renting your condo for the two weeks....we really enjoyed ourselves....

Dear Bev and Hal I had a wonderful time in Kihei, particularly in the Kihei Bay Surf unit #141. The reception loaf of bread and the bottle of pineapple wine was a real ALOHA to me. Here are the reasons why I choose your vacation rental; - appealing website with all necessary, but not too much information about KBS, the unit and all amenities of Kihei. - your welcoming approach on your website. - a REAL bargain for Maui, Kihei! I will book soon again, when my trip to NZ comes to an end. - you kept me promptly updated about the renovations of the lanai. Others I met who booked with neighbors were not that fortunate and rather disappointed about the withheld information. Although I missed to use the lanai most of the time I understand that it needs to be done. - Very helpful unit manager and your cleaning lady a darling! - No complaints what so ever, will come back asap. Hope to find you both in good health and spirit. mahalo

We were on Maui for 7 weeks this year, 5 in Hal & Bev's #141. We were celebratiing our 50th wedding anniversary on this, our 11th trip. We've stayed in every accomodation imaginable from a one-room ohana to the Menehune 6th floor penthouse across the road ($175). The unit is meticulously maintained, and thoroughly equipped. There's no appliance or utensil one might need that isn't there. The queen bed with topper is totally comfortable. With TIVO, WIFI, 36" H.D. tv and A/C, this unit is better equipped than the Menehune. Any deficiencies, Hal has addressed immediately (we had a leaky faucet). The longer you stay, the better the rate, so at a month+, we did VERY well. Repeaters get a little more break. Hal and Bev could not be better, more accomodating hosts, and we've booked another 5 weeks next year. In exchange for a water view, you get quiet and a tennis court, which doubles as a model helipad.

Aloha Hal and Bev, Just wanted to let you know that we are back home and we had a wonderful time while at you Maui home and look forward to next year and we are very interested in putting a deposit down for Jan, 2011. We loved your place and every one there. Got to meet your housekeeper what a very sweet person. Really liked her. I love the pictures that you have in the condo it gives it such a warm homey feeling. I would like to find out if either of the other 2 units you have might be available for Jan next year. My husbands brother and his wife would like to come next year for the same time we will be there. If you could let me know. I will have them get a hold of you to put down there deposit. They too are self employed and winters are their slow time. After we told them about your place and how nice the complex is and how quite and lovely they want to come and hang out with us. Thank you again for helping make our vacation so wonderful. Hal and Bev, we were looking at apartments in and around Kihei and ourmauihometoo 141 was just what we were looking for and for a reasonable price. We found everything perfectly clean and in great condition, loved the nice kitchen and the pool/Jacuzzi.
