Hello Hal & Bev, Just wanted to send along a huge thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay at you condo in Maui (Unit 140). Thanks so much for making our first trip to Maui a Great One! I was the first time to Maui and the first time we rented a condo through the VRBO. Thanks for all your help and patience with all my questions with everything. Hal: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the privilage of renting your unit #141 in Kehei. I must say that it was more than what we expected, all the comforts of home were there, and we really enjoyed the condo. Everyone was so friendly that we met there, and we would certainly not hesitate to recommend to anyone your place to rent. We will most likely be back to communicate with you sometime in the future regarding another rental. I understand you own others in this complex, are they also up for rental..... Once again many thanks for the privilege of renting your condo for the two weeks....we really enjoyed ourselves....

Dear Bev and Hal I had a wonderful time in Kihei, particularly in the Kihei Bay Surf unit #141. The reception loaf of bread and the bottle of pineapple wine was a real ALOHA to me. Here are the reasons why I choose your vacation rental; - appealing website with all necessary, but not too much information about KBS, the unit and all amenities of Kihei. - your welcoming approach on your website. - a REAL bargain for Maui, Kihei! I will book soon again, when my trip to NZ comes to an end. - you kept me promptly updated about the renovations of the lanai. Others I met who booked with neighbors were not that fortunate and rather disappointed about the withheld information. Although I missed to use the lanai most of the time I understand that it needs to be done. - Very helpful unit manager and your cleaning lady a darling! - No complaints what so ever, will come back asap. Hope to find you both in good health and spirit. mahalo

We were on Maui for 7 weeks this year, 5 in Hal & Bev's #141. We were celebratiing our 50th wedding anniversary on this, our 11th trip. We've stayed in every accomodation imaginable from a one-room ohana to the Menehune 6th floor penthouse across the road ($175). The unit is meticulously maintained, and thoroughly equipped. There's no appliance or utensil one might need that isn't there. The queen bed with topper is totally comfortable. With TIVO, WIFI, 36" H.D. tv and A/C, this unit is better equipped than the Menehune. Any deficiencies, Hal has addressed immediately (we had a leaky faucet). The longer you stay, the better the rate, so at a month+, we did VERY well. Repeaters get a little more break. Hal and Bev could not be better, more accomodating hosts, and we've booked another 5 weeks next year. In exchange for a water view, you get quiet and a tennis court, which doubles as a model helipad.

Aloha Hal and Bev, Just wanted to let you know that we are back home and we had a wonderful time while at you Maui home and look forward to next year and we are very interested in putting a deposit down for Jan, 2011. We loved your place and every one there. Got to meet your housekeeper what a very sweet person. Really liked her. I love the pictures that you have in the condo it gives it such a warm homey feeling. I would like to find out if either of the other 2 units you have might be available for Jan next year. My husbands brother and his wife would like to come next year for the same time we will be there. If you could let me know. I will have them get a hold of you to put down there deposit. They too are self employed and winters are their slow time. After we told them about your place and how nice the complex is and how quite and lovely they want to come and hang out with us. Thank you again for helping make our vacation so wonderful. Let me know about Jan.2011 We would like to go there for the next years to come so you can count on one of those condo's to be booked for at least the next 5 years unless god forbid something should happen to one of us. Hal and Bev, we were looking at apartments in and around Kihei and ourmauihometoo 141 was just what we were looking for and for a reasonable price. We found everything perfectly clean and in great condition, loved the nice kitchen and the pool/Jacuzzi. Just wanted to let you know that we had a great trip to Maui and your condo was a great place to stay. We appreciated all the beach-going supplies you had. And we also enjoyed the pool when the ocean was a little too rough. Now that we've been back for a week or so, we have started to fantasize about going back and staying longer. So just thought I'd ask you if you rent your condo for longer periods of time (like for a month or two) and what you charge for the longer-term rentals. Thanks. Thanks! We really enjoy the time we stay here. Every appliance is very clean and in the order. We feel comfortable and convenient. The community of the condo is nice and quite. We would choose to stay here next time we come to Maui! Mahalo!

Hello Hal & Bev, Truly enjoyed our visit to unit #141. We first looked at Kihei on VRBO, we knew that is where we wanted to stay. We next looked at 1-bedroom vs. studio and prices because of our extended stay. The pictures of the room and pool were very appealing, neat, clean, decorated with Hawaiian theme. Betty was very friendly and easy to talk to, Jim enjoyed visiting with her husband too. The room was well stocked will kitchen supplies, very neat and clean also. Our visit was very pleasant and I will definately check with you on avalibility on our next trip. Thanks, Karen & Jim

Hal & Bev...your unit exceeded our expectations. Kitchen was well equipped as you advised. We definetely felt it was our home in Maui. We were pleasantly surprised to find the extras like the beach chairs, the boogie board and beach towels (we had brought our own). Cleanliness was not an issue...If I was coming back to Kihei I would definitely contact you before perusing any other accommodations and only look elsewhere if vailability was an issue. There was only two issues that I have any comment on...first being the bed was to hard for our liking...(having as an option of the egg crate foam would have helped) and the screen door to the balcony. The balcony was not an issue as we simply did not use the screen door.... I hope that [property manager's] report was positive so that we both have had an experience that we both would want to be continued in the future. Regards and Thank You D & G

What a beautiful condo! I say it is joyfully decorated. I felt so at home and at peace here. . . . I will tell my friends about your Maui home. I told a friend of mine from Iowa that I could live in your condo permanently because it is so homey.

first of all- thank you so much for extending your welcome to us, we truly enjoyed our stay and your hospitality was the finishing touch for our trip! I would say AFTER staying at your place--- the small little touches you added really made a difference. What attracted me to your unit was the detailed descriptions and pictures you provided, along with the price! We were on a tight budget and looking for something with value. What we found in your unit was a place that appeared to be centrally located and had all the features for less money than some of the places I saw. Now that I have visited.....I know what type of comparison I was looking at ie...Wailea vs S Kihei!!

This condo was perfect for my trip to Maui. I had never been to the island before, and this condo is located in a very central location, so EVERYTHING is nearby. This place had everything I needed for my vacation. I was surprised to find things such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and even a couple of guidebooks specific to Maui. When I visit Maui again, I hope to be able to stay in the same condo.

Thank you sooooooo much for such a wonderful unit! The complex is nice to stay in because it was pretty close to all the things we wanted to do. . . . When we got to the condo, we could tell that you took great measures to make sure that what we saw in the pictures is what we would experience in real life.

We had a great time in #141! After reading through the exhaustive list of supplies that Hal keeps in #141, I was able to delete flashlights and several other items from our luggage. Everything was clean and in its place. When I saw the 2 tennis rackets in the closet, I was ready to go buy some balls. Then, I spotted the bag of tennis balls! I tell you, they have thought of everything. The location is convenient, though it is not oceanview. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom has inspired me to get one of my own. The pool was perfect, the jacuzzi even worked, and the ocean is across the street. Thanks for truth in advertising: #141 was exactly what was promised. An additional "mahalo" to Hal for being so speedy in writing me when I thought I'd left something in the room. Sincerely, Sue Kellam
