We are a family of four and we have really enjoyed both of our stays in this lovely gem of a house! Each time we found a sweet home away from home waiting for us. From the gorgeous peaceful setting to the exquisite layout. When walking through you really feel all the care and love the owners have been putting to decorate thinking about every tiny detail to make you feel good. I love cooking and I must admit this is the best stocked house I have ever rented. You will have everything you need to fix a homemade gourmet meal. You will even find champagne flutes for a fancy toast by the fireplace! The decor is very modern, joyful, and comfortable Pottery Barn style which I love. The new TV family room above the garage is a wonderful addition. My teenage son loved to have his retreat over there! We enjoyed having bikes available with the house. The only regret we had was to have to leave! We cannot wait for our third visit hopefully very soon! The owner Penelope is amazing and will treat you like a friend! Loved, loved and loved this sanctuary in Seabrook!
Owner response:This house is our home, where we used to live full time and which we have totally remodelled for easy, relaxed, stress free living! We love cooking and have equipped it with lots of electrical appliances and easy to use kitchen ware. Every time you walk in the door you feel the stress and worry of everyday life dissipate and slip from your shoulders. Relax and enjoy!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful home in December. It was warm and inviting and had all the amenities you need to relax and rejuvenate. The decor was very peaceful and tranquil much like the setting. It can accomodate several people and still offer privacy with 4 bedrooms and baths. The common area is spacious and open. We enjoyed our stay on this gorgeous island very much and I am sure you will as well!
Owner response:The stress and cares just melt away as you reach Seabrook island and the relaxation deepens as you sit back and enjoy the peace and surroundings of our home! The large claw foot tub is great for a long soak; the sunroom is so peaceful overlooking the lagoon; and as for the hammock ..... !!

This was a great place to stay and was very well represented by the owners. I was a bit nervous about renting sight unseen, but it was a wonderful experience. Seabrook is a beautiful place, and our rental home was beautiful and well maintained. The owners were very organized and left helpful how to and where to go information. My reason for going to Seabrook was to get my adult children together for a vacation, as they live in different states, and to possibly start a family tradition. Mission accomplished! Everyone loved the place, the experience and we plan on returning next year!
Owner response:There is so much space in the house and different areas in which to relax so that it's ideal for family reunions and gatherings. Or for two families to vacation together. With five separate sitting areas, two large dining areas and two master suites, it offers great space for everyone. And plenty of TVs to avoid family arguments!

Just as the listing described, this home is comfortable, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. It is more spacious than the pictures indicate, and very well maintained. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us, and the layout was perfect for our family of three generations. We, the grandparents, enjoyed the master suite, our son loved the upstairs suite, and the two guest bedrooms fit our daughter and her family nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We spent evenings at the beginning of the week out back overlooking the lagoon, and since the end of the week included a heat wave, when we were not at the beach or riding bikes, the spacious sunroom was the place to congregate. Seabrook is lovely and quiet. The additions and remodeling which have been done to the golf club and beach club are great additions. Try drinks or dinner at Pelican's Nest at sunset. The owners were very accommodating in answering all of our questions and we will definitely recommend this rental to friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us and helping to make our family vacation a memorable one.

The house is absolutely beautiful - pictures do not do it justice! It was spacious, with plenty of room for all 10 of us staying there. The children loved having a room all to themselves (so grateful for the single beds!), and the adults thoroughly enjoyed the sunroom in the back. The open floor plan in the great room was great - with wonderful appliances and furniture that looked like a picture in a magazine. Thank you for letting us share your house!

We loved this property and had a fabulous vacation. The location was perfect and the property was very clean and well-maintained. The home is also beautifully decorated. The customer service was terrific and I would highly recommend this rental property to everyone I know. We loved the tennis courts, pools, and beach. It was the perfect spot for a famil reunion.

This home was truly amazing and what a wonderful vacation we had. Very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, well-maintained - the perfect vacation retreat. We couldn't have had a more wonderful family reunion. I would highly recommend this to all my friends and family and hope to return someday soon. The owners were very helpful with all of my questions - we even left many items at the house and they let us know immediately and were very helpful in working out how to retrieve them. The tennis courts and swimming pool were beautiful and we had many wonderful walks on the beach.

My family of four, plus my parents, just returned from a lovely week on Seabrook Island. I can't imagine a better fit for us than this house. It was spacious yet cozy, beautifully decorated, and had so many features we liked. You will not find a better space than the bright, long sunroom that looks out on the lagoon. My family enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the sunroom, as well as afternoon cocktails. We saw several baby alligators each day swimming in the lagoon and banking right by the neighbor's house. My parents absolutely loved the master bedroom and the huge master bath. The clawfoot tub was a hit amongst all the girls in the family (including my 11 year old daughter). My mom and I enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen that looked out to both the living room and sunroom beyond. Everyone took turns gathering on the adorable window seat in the kitchen while we cooked. As for Seabrook Island, it is quiet and residential, filled with friendly neighbors. On our first morning bike ride, my kids were amazed at how many people waved and said hi to us. The Lake House and Beach Club are beautiful. The horses at the equestrian center are clearly well groomed and cared for. North Beach is gorgeous and has good boogie boarding waves. Once you fall into the rhythm of the island, you will not want to leave. My family was sad to say goodbye, and we hope to return one day.
Owner response:Seabrook is a magical place, and very special. And people seem to fall in love with our house - especially the 60 ft long sunroom overlooking the lagoon , the luxury of bathing in the claw foot tub, and the fact that there are so many different areas to sit - so that no-one feels on top of everyone else. Come and see for yourself!

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at your terrific home on Seabrook Island. It was our first visit to Seabrook and we hit it at the right time for what we were needing. One week where we could relax, get away from the daily grind, take long walks and just decompress. Your beautiful house provided the perfect location to do just that. By the way, if you are considering this house you must know that the photos just don't do it any justice. It is so hard to portray size and comfort through a camera lens. The Sunroom, Greatroom, Master Bedroom and Bath are all much nicer than the pictures portray. While we relaxed in the Sunroom we saw beautiful blue herron, deer and other wildlife just outside the windows. The lagoon setting is gorgeous; trust me when I say that you simply can't go wrong renting this house. Just make sure you go for long enough to enjoy all the peace that Seabrook has to offer. You'll love it.

House was great! Owners were accurate in describing the home and island, we were very comfortable there. Home is closer to the entrance gate than the beach, but a quick 7 min car ride to the beach/pool area with plenty of parking. Home was clean & fresh, had all the amenities we were looking for and enough space that we weren't on top of each other (we are a family of 4). We easily could have had another family and had plenty of space. We would recommend to others and definitely rent again! If you have children who like fishing, be sure to go on Wed mornings to Bohicket Marina and join the fishing tournament. They supply all you need and the kids loved it! Thanks!

My family and I had a wonderful time in your beautiful home. Everything you needed was there for our weekend stay. The beds were very comfortable and the large master bathroom is very roomy. Despite the rain, we enjoyed hanging out in the large glassed in porch. The kids kept busy trying to spot an alligator while the adults relaxed. Thanks Kim and Penelope!

The house was terrific. I have a group of guys who go to Kiawah/Seabrook every year for a two day golf tourney and since our group was small this year we all stayed in one house. This house has everything you need and then some. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Loved it!!! The description of this house is no exaggeration. It is immaculate, large, open and has every amenity. The wifi worked like a charm, the master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable and everything we could possibly need was available in the kitchen. The shower in the master bath was a hoot -- we called it the "time chamber" and it was good for a lot of laughs and some funny photos -- "beam me up, Scottie" style. The only downside is that there is no place to put your soap, shampoo, etc. Tons of extras in the garage, too, including beach chairs and bikes, which we put to good use and which saved us from having to haul them from home. We've been vacationing at Seabrook off and on for nearly 30 years, and this house offered the most amenities of any we've ever rented. The sunporch overlooking the lagoon was a personal favorite for reading and "gator watch" every morning, but a small fan I brought from home was very useful since the solarium-type room got pretty warm. There was a wonderful selection of books and games. We are "beach people" rather than golfers, tennis players or equestriens. The Seabrook Island beach club is lots of fun and rarely feels crowded. We snagged our beachfront loungers early, jumped into the pool when we got too warm and enjoyed lunch at the adjacent Pelican's Nest most days. Night time walks on the beach are amazing -- it feels as if you could touch the stars -- and if you're really fortunate, the water will contain phosphorus that looks like the waves are dripping diamonds when they break. Nearby Freshfields Village is super. The Newton Farms grocery is excellent -- Wegman's style -- and has a Starbuck's. The pizza restaurant in the Village has some of the best pizza we've ever eaten. Also highly recommend the Fat Pig restaurant on Maybank Highway. Call for reservations -- even on weeknights -- if you don't want a long wait. Charleston is always a treat, even if you've spent a great deal of time there, as we have. We tried the Tsunami restaurant across from the Custom's House. It is part of a small chain that does shushi and hibachi-cooked entrees. Cocktails were also interesting -- the key lime martini was excellent. Don't leave Charleston without a box or two of pralines from Market Street Sweets. Seabrook Island is a perfect getaway in the fabulous Low Country and our house was comfortable, cozy and well-equipped -- perfect in every way.
