My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Mountain Magnolia very much. The cabin was just as described and the location was great. Loved just sitting on the deck and looking at the mountains and the hot tub was very relaxing. We were close to restaurants, the craft community, Gatlinburg and Peigon Forge. Hope to get back again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

The rental was accurate as described, as were the photos. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner answered all questions and treated us as friends. Yes, I would recommend this property to friends or relatives. We recommend downtown Gatlinburg, the Craft Festival at the Gat. Convention Center, Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge and the Apple Barn, also the local restaurants.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I went on vacation with another couple and stayed in this cabin. It was perfect! We had enough space and privacy with the way the bedrooms and bathrooms were set up. The cabin itself is just far enough from the "busyness" of the downtown area, but close enough to enjoy the downtown area daily! The property is very quite and private. The cabin is perfect for a Gatlinburg/Smokie Mountain/hiking vacation! The property is clean, functional, and equipped with everything you would need to have a wonderful vacation. There are plenty plates, soup bowls, silverware, pots, pans, some tubberware, other kitchen items, pillows, linens, towels, washer, and dryer. My only suggestion for future renters would be, if you plan to make most of your meals in the cabin bring tubberware/big bowls to store the left overs. That was our only problem. In my book thats pretty good to leave a vacation and think the only thing I wish I had was more tubberware containers haha! The owner of this property is wonderful. She is a very kind, helpful, generous, and thoughtful person. She was a pleasure to work with! I would recommand this cabin to friends and family! Thank you Gloria for sharing your property for our wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

The cabin is in a great location just far enough off the beaten path to be secluded but close to downtown Gatlinburg as well. It was super clean and everything worked as promised. The check in and out process was very clear. Loved the kitchen and deck! The queen bedroom has a private half bath and the king bedroom is adjacent to the full bath. This works out GREAT for two couples! They were very fair with the pet policy so we got to take our little dog! We had a great visit and I would recommend this value to anyone!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Magnolia! Everything was clean and just as Gloria's VRBO listing promised. The view from the hot tub and deck looking at "Gloria's Summit" (as I've nicknamed the mountain in the distance) was beautiful. Hiking in the Smokies was fun and we even scratched white water rafting off our bucket list. Great vacay!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My husband and I just spent a week at the Mountain Magnolia. What a fantastic week. Besides the perfect weather, the Mountain Magnolia was a home away from home. It had everything that we were looking for in a week-long getaway. It is nestled in the hills with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains and completely private. We will definitely rent again and recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

After all of the five star reviews here, we had very high expectations for this rental. For the cost, it was a pretty good value, but it definitely needs improvements. The owner, Gloria, is very personable and easy to work with, but she is managing this rental from quite a distance away and told me she depends on her housekeeper and renters to let her know about any issues, which we did. On a positive note, the location is excellent. It is very close to Gatlinburg, yet private and secluded. A grocery store is minutes away and the property is very convenient to anything you may want to enjoy in the area. The house is tidy and the bathrooms and counter tops were all very clean. Though it is pet friendly, there were no odors or indications of any pets having been there, which was quite nice. On the down side, the sofas and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and badly in need of replacement. TV watchers may be annoyed at the main TV remote, as the channel search button had to be held down for several seconds to get a response, plus we had to buy new batteries for two remotes. The inside of the kitchen cabinets needed to be cleaned and lined, to the point that though the dishes were probably clean, we felt we should wash them again before use. Don't plan to do much cooking unless you don't mind using pots and pans that are in terrible condition with the Teflon scraped out of them. The tableware was down to just a few pieces so that we had to use plastic a lot of the time. It was nice to have the compact washer/dryer, but it is in the half bath which made that bathroom very cramped. The toilets are smaller than standard sized, so larger adults may find these uncomfortable. We had concerns about the structural integrity of the deck, especially with the weight of a heavy Jacuzzi. We had hoped to use the community pool. It can't be seen from the road as it sits high on a mountain side, but you do see the Condo Clubhouse which you go through to get to the pool. The Clubhouse is in such disrepair, so dilapidated and terrible looking that we couldn't bring ourselves to go to the pool. We made the best of our stay, glad for a private, convenient, pet friendly rental. We depend on the candor of VRBO reviews and wanted to share our honest opinion - this is a decent place to stay but not a five-star rental. We've expressed our concerns to Gloria and, no doubt, she is looking into these matters. Just know the pros and cons before renting.Recommended for: Pet owners.

Owner info
About the owner: By way of introduction I am a working Mom who keeps books for our City School System in my hometown, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I have also enjoyed living in Georgia and Nevada. In the evenings and on weekends I rent daily & weekly accommodations in Florida, Gatlinburg, Tennessee and guest quarters for special events in Tuscaloosa. I have always wanted a restaurant or hotel so this type of business satisfies the need to work with people and has the extra bonus of meeting guests from all over. My rental business began in 1988, it is hard work but worth it. My goal is to give every guest the best accommodations at the best rate. When my guests are happy, I'm happy!
Why the Owner Chose Condo Villas of Gatlinburg:
I purchased 'Mountain Magnolia' because of the PRIVACY & GREAT MOUNTAIN VIEW. It is only 4 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. It is within 3 miles of a grocery stores, video store, 24/7 year round deli, even a new McDonald's just opened. Many great restaurants are within 4 miles. All of these can be reached without getting into the Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge traffic. It is on the Arts & Crafts side of Gatlinburg so no steep, winding roads to travel.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
This cabin sits on top of a small mountain. The view is great, the air is fresh and only one other cabin is on this road so minimal traffic, NO NOISE. There are cabins below and in the distance, lights and smoke from their chimneys can be seen. HOT TUB ON THE DECK, REAL WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE INSIDE. Did I mention, the Gatlinburg air really smells GOOD!!
This cabin was completely redecorated in March '09. It is clean, fresh, not cluttered and very
tastefully furnished. It has original art prints throughout creating a very homey feeling & personal touch. The kitchen is huge and completely furnished to cook in or relax in while looking at the view from the large windows. COMPLETE COMFORT !!!
