We stayed here in August. House was very clean. Beds were clean and comfortable. Close to everything. You won"t even need a car. Bike or walk everywhere.Several pools available. Beach is sooo close.Owner was very helpful with one small issue and took care of it right away. We go to HHI every summer and have never had ANY problems with VRBO or the property owners.This was one of our best vacations ever.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

I has similar issues -- partial lack of electricity in the house (master bedroom bath) and interrupted cable/internet throughout the week which was rather annoying. Also owner was not prompt in answering our text messages and calls. Electrician was to show up but he never did. The location was great and the house was clean minus a few bugs.

Owner response:Unfortunately an electrical issue in the wall caused the master bathroom to be without electricity. By the time we were notified by this renter midweek and we were able to schedule an available electrician to repair it, they were checking out. The cable was also being redone by the cable company and was very little we could do unfortunately. It is also important to call our mobile number to be able to reach us quickly if there are any difficulties as we will not get the message until the end of the day. We credited this renter for dealing with this difficulty.

This home is as represented on website; however future renters: BEWARE!! On the second day of our 7 day rental the cable & internet was disconnected due to non payment. Within a half hour after that, the electric company was knocking at the front door to let us know they were terminating power to the house! Turns out Indigo Palms owed over $900 in back utility bills. After dozens of calls/texts & emails without receiving a response; we were looking at the possibility of having to pay $380 to the electric utility man right on the spot or leave! I left a very angry voice message with the owner (since I couldn't reach him) threatening to call the HHI Chamber of Commerce as well as my lawyer -- that must have done the trick. He paid the bills and utilities were restored. A feeble attempt at a phone-text apology was all I received after a very emotional morning of having to deal with the shock of multiple utilities being disconnected because of this owner’s indifference. He claimed the bills were misplaced -- my question is how do you misplace your business vacation home bills for over three months? Since the owner has the capability to place his home on an internet website in order to entice potential renters; how can he not know how to use the internet to pay his bills? The answer is he simply has no concern for the renters. Once he received our money he became the absentee landlord. I just hope he doesn't "misplace" the return of our deposit. I highly recommend using extreme caution before considering this home. I would return to Hilton Head again however I would not rent Indigo Palms again, even if it was the only home on the island! Last note: the house is also overdue for a bug spray. We saw quite a few live "Palmetto Bugs" (a.k.a. cockroaches) scurrying around inside the home!

Owner response:I am very sorry that this renter had a bad experience and am very sorry for any inconvenience they encountered. The renter however did not allow sufficient time for a response before making threatening calls or texts immediately about the cable issue. Although the cable was disconnected briefly, it was restored right away upon notification from the renter - no other services were disconnected despite the understandably emotional claims of the renter. The home is sprayed twice a year in the spring and the fall. In addition our cleaning people are very thorough and would have notified us of any "palmetto bug" issues if this was a problem - I am a little bewildered at this malicious comment. This renter is welcome back any time and will receive a 15% discount for any future stay. The renter will receive their security deposit back in full without delay. Regards Brad Eyre

Thank you so much for sharing your cozy, comfortable home. We loved every minute of our week at the beach. You were so helpful and accommodating. Your home has everything for a perfect beach vacation.....A very nice home...even for our dog, so close to beach, shopping, restaurants and the access to the facIlities at the resort next door. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. We will return :). Thank you.

we had 2 adults, one child, and a dog, and we had a great time! the location is terrific - we walked to most places while we were there. The beach is just down the street and the pools at Sea Crest were very convenient and not crowded at all. Thanks!

We were a group of six ready for our first time in Hilton Head. Look no farther than this home. It was spotless, 5 houses from the beach, one block from the grocery and Coligny circle. Although close to everything, it is very quiet. We had our coffee on the screened in porch every day and only heard birds. We chose a day trip to Charlotte (2 hours) and a day trip to Savannah (45 minutes)and we were very happy to see our porch light at 5 Bittern Street when we returned. The additional goodies of having the ability to use the facilities at Sea Crest was ideal. Nice food and drink menu at the bar at the beach pool. The owners, Brad and Aimee, are wonderful to deal with. I had many questions since this was our first time in the area. Brad forwarded restaurant recommendations and Amy helped us decide what airport to fly in to. Brad's last words were, "Call my cell phone if you need anything." This was a dream of a trip and our hosts were terrific. Thank you for letting us have some of that Southern hospitality in your home! Sincerely, Maggie Zeiss

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Indigo Palms Beach House. The location was ideal...quiet and private yet very close and accessible to the beach and Coligny Plaza. We had 6 people and the house was very comfortable and roomy - we were not crowded at all. Looking for a relaxing vacation to enjoy some quality family time, this was perfect!

We just got back from spending Spring break at this beautiful home. The location is superb and the screened in porch is such a relaxing place to hang out and relax.
