My husband and I, our 2 adult children and their spouses stayed at the "chalet" for a week at the end of June. The house was comfortable and spacious and had most of what we needed. We overcame the lack of internet by arranging for 3G service on the ipad, which made everyone happy. The location was wonderful for all the day trips we took, and, of course, we could walk to King's Beach in less than 10 minutes. We all enjoyed playing bocce on a makeshift "wild" court (as opposed to a domesticated formal court) in the back yard. It was great to have that much space available.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We have stayed at "chalet" for President day weekend this year and had such a wonderful time! Not only was the house neat and clean but it had every imaginable thing you may need (or not) for our convinience. Our company were 2 families and we had enough space in this really cozy and homy house, and we really felt like being at home. We only wish we could have stayed longer!! Well next time! We can certainly recommend the "chalet" and we'll be coming back for future trips. My only problem was that I needed to do something for my work and the house does not have internet... but that may not be minus if you want the true rest from the busy life... Ana

Jay and Marina: Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! My parents traveled all the way from Guam and my husband and two children and I came from Hawaii to spend Christmas here. We had a really beautiful time, filled with the warmth this home brought to us. We enjoyed the games provided, the fireplace, the many amenities and, of course, the decor that gives this home it's charm and character. 6/20/-6/24/06 Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with our family. I love the copper kitchen! Even during this "heat wave" we were able to stay cool here. (Being from the South, we expect heat and humidity in the summer - evidently it is rare here!) Kings Beach is a nice, relaxing town, with an incredible Safeway, that made our vacation even more enjoyable. And, of course, the Lake is breathtaking! Please visit us if you ever come to Charleston, S. C. Robin, Shawn, Lauren (20) and Brandon (17). P. S. Your Iris's are beautiful!! Alas, no bear sighting, though!

8/13/06 Another year, another wonderful stay at your chalet!! We celebrated Sonja's 26th birthday! Time flies when you are at Tahoe! Your cabin has been an "Island of Sanity" for me. I will start counting the days until next year. Betty Lou...didn't see my D.V. Bear...Boo-hoo!! I love this house!!This year totally ruled. The weather was perfect. The mini golf was super FUN. Today is January 20, 2006, and my family and I are already looking forward to going back to your lovely chalet in August! My family feels so comfortable staying at your home. We made wonderful memories for everyone - cooking in the kitchen, birthday breakfasts and parties, candlelight dinners on the front porch, endless cups of steaming hot coffee, snuggled up on the front porch, watching the wild life awake and entertain.
