(from Guestbook) We loved the fall "cabin experience"! We enjoyed the paddleboat and the dock. We paddled the paddleboat across the lake to the park and playground. I loved experiencing all the attention to detail in your decor - the furniture, the lamps, and the matching wildlife dinnerware and switchplates! I read up in the loft on the wicker loveseat in sheer peace! I also enjoyed going to an Estate Sale on the lake. Thank you so much for sharing this very special place!

We were once again lucky to find a beautifully appointed cabin on The Chain of Lakes! The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay in Northern Michigan. It was a peaceful setting full of the Northern Michigan feel you want when vacationing in the North Country of Michigan. The owners and caretaker of the property were great people and we want them to know we appreciated their help and opening their home to us. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation - you won't regret this one!!! Jim and Linda Bowling Green Ohio

We had a great family gathering - our boys rented a fishing boat and fished every day - we loved the a-frame with great light and views of the lake and especially liked the amount of trees on both sides of the cabin that really gave us that in-the-woods feel. The property was accurately described, clean and well-maintained. The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't keep us from having a great time. We tripped off to Short's in Bellaire for their famous brews and had a shopping trip to Charlevoix. Our best weather day had us using the kayaks and paddleboat and the local eagle flew over to top things off. Great time was had by all and our little grandsons had their first 'taste' of lake-life and 'up north'. Our 2 1/2 year-old even learned to say ''vacation rental" !!

The cottage was everything advertised and more; clean, modern and well appointed. Enjoyed the local golf, day-trips to the many NW MI towns and just relaxing on the deck. Spectacular sunsets, more stars than I can ever remember and a couple of visits from the Bald Eagles and the lake's resident swan. Made a couple trips to Shorts Brewpub in Bellaire as well as Whitney's in Charlevoix.

(from Guestbook) We had sooo much fun at the cabin and lake. We went kayaking, went on the paddleboat and went on our jetski. We caught some fishes, and turtles!!! We saw swans and turkeys, too. We also went to Lake Michigan and relaxed there - it was sooo fun! We made bonfires at night and just relaxed this whole trip. Thanks for letting us stay!

(from Guestbook) We had fun on the paddle boat and I had my early birthday. I am 6, but in September I will be 7. The cabin is buetifull! TIP-best fishing is down by the rafts. (Mom) This place is in a great location to do a lot of fun things. We all had a good time!

(from Guestbook) We had a wonderful time at the cabin! We went fishing and caught a fish on the paddleboat out front. We also caught fish at the family trout pond not too far from here. They made a great lunch! We also kayaked the Jordan River - beautiful and quiet! We recommend Murray's in East Jordan and Sodalicious for ice cream!! We also swan in Lake Michigan and collected rocks - a wonderful week! We saw a bald eagle on the last day, fly across the dock!!

(from Guestbook) The cabin and lake were beautiful! Everyone had a great time boating and just relaxing, enjoying the perfect weather. It was very peaceful and the trip was a great break from everyone's busy schedules. We went into Traverse City one day for the Cherry Fest, which was sooo fun! A perfect cabin for some peace and quiet. You could not ask for a better place to unwind, enjoy nature and reflect on the good things in life. The cabin is very cozy, warm but has all the creature comforts you would want. You will spend most of your time gazing out at the lake which is very meditative. We enjoyed just being in the cabin, making fires in the firepit and kayaking. Shorts Pub in Bellaire for delicious beer and drives through all the beautiful towns. Classic Pizza lives up to it's name and a shout out to thr Blue Pelican Restauant. However, just grilling on the deck was our favorite. This is a gem of a cabin. Wehope you enjoy it as much as we did.

(from Guestbook) A great time was had at all. We left New Jersey and it was in the 90s. The temperature here was great. The cabin and scenery were beautiful, especially the snake! We stayed our distance, but he seemed rather friendly. Jim and Lisa were very helpful to us as we couldn't get the TV adjusted. Also, Jim gave us helpful hints about where to go.

What a lovely way to celebrate a 50th anniversary with family: Peaceful, serene lake; kayaks; cabin exactly as described, clean, beautiful views, comfortable, well-equipped; quiet neighbors; with the added bonus of no bugs and perfect cool, sunny, N. Michigan weather. Swimming, fishing, kayaking down Dingman River to fascinating beaver dam being built, watching its daily construction; feeding swans and ducks; reading; long beautiful evenings on the deck; outings to Call of the Wild Museum and miniature golf and go-kart park, Sleeping Bear Sand Dune climb; South Manitou Island; Mission Peninsula Wineries; Mackinac Island; East Jordan for convenient wi-fi internet access at friendly library and for supermarket--eall within easy access for daytrips by various of the three generations at cabin. We all agreed, from ages 6 and up, that Six-Mile Lake and this cabin was worth a much longer stay and plan to return.

(from Guestbook) Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. Charlotte loved the fishing. Ashton enjoyed sailing (and rescuing!) our remote-controlled sailboat. And Stella noted how everyone loved seeing (and feeding) the swans and baby every morning! We also met snake and turtle and even kayaked to Echo Park. The babies loved the beach there! Trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes & Mackinac Island were very manageable and overall a wonderful time. (Dads liked the beer under starry skies!)

Mary & Cliff, Thank you for sharing your place with us. We had a wonderful time. It is very peaceful and quiet. Great sleeping weather at night! The place was perfect for our needs. Our girls enjoyed the kayaks and the paddleboat. We also rented Jet Ski's that were delivered to the lake by Summertime rentals. The ski's were ini great condition and the girls were able to tube. You were right with the pizza. We tried both places in East Jordan but Classic was the best. It was a short trip to Charlevoix, where we shopped and hung out on the beach. We also spent a day and went to Petosky. The have a great putt-putt golf course there for kids. Again - we cant thank you enough. We would definately recommend your place to others. Have a wonderful reamaining summer. We will keep in touch.

(from Guestbook) This was great! This house and everything outside and in it entertained 6 kids and 4 adults. The view is great and the lake is super duper fun. We went tubing, wave boarding - even though it was a challenge for most of us. All of us enjoyed the paddleboat and the kayaks. The only thing that was a challenge for the kids was not having phone or internet service. But we found out ways to entertain ourselves!

(from Guestbook) We shared many treasured moments away from phone, computer and worldy business. Fishing was our daily routine. How nice to have room for 3 boats. After a week of fishing, we managed one family fish fry! A good time was had by all, from 5 months to 80 years of age.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We went the third week of June and the weather was perfect: upper 70's all week and sunny. Cabin was well furnished, especially the kitchen. Deck provided panoramic views of the lake which was very quiet and perfect for relaxing and fishing. Many stores, golf courses, and attractions within driving distance. Would definitely return and recommend.

(from Guestbook) This has been one of our best family vacations! Our 13-year-old son very much enjoyed his stay here. Our friend who has a place on Hanley Lake loaned us his fishing boat plus a kayak, so we had 3 to run around the lake with. Fishing was wonderful. Caught a 4-5 pound bass with our fly rod . . . yes, it can be done! And today we caught 10 fish. We cooked a lot, read and relaxed at your wonderful cabin.

(email from Guest)"We enjoyed our stay very much. The kayaks and paddleboat were great and got a lot of use. You were right about the insect populations, they were amazingly non-existent! I couldn't believe it and I think you should emphasize this fact in your ad. It was unbelievable. I've never stayed on a lake where I did not need bug repellant. The only time I needed it was after dark paddling around on the lake fishing. The firepit was nice and your guestbook was also handy. The cabin is beautiful and surprisingly does not need air conditioning at night. Overall you have a fabulous property."

(email from Guest)"We loved staying at your cabin! Truthfully, we mostly 'hung out' and kayaked and fished, played cards, and sat on the dock and on the deck. The cabin is so lovely and laid out so well...sometimes one of us would just go up in the loft to read and enjoy the view between chapters. We also enjoyed all the little details in the cabin as well. Loved the nightstands made out of branches and wood boards in the downstairs bedroom, the bedframes, the telescope, the thermometer in the kitchen window and the interesting clocks in all the rooms as well as accent chairs, pictures, and blankets and throws. The size of the lake is nice as well...one day the water was so still all morning, it resembled a mirror just like you see in jigsaw puzzles. What a peaceful day to kayak. Thank you again...I miss it already."

(email from Guest)"The cabin was (is) gorgeous! Very comfortable, roomy and attractive. The weather was about perfect when we were there. We had a great time, enjoyed playing games, walking the country roads, reading, sometimes turning the fireplace on, having a big fire on the beach, and just generally enjoying being there."
