"A Dream Come True" is the name we chose for our new vacation home, and it could not be more appropriate. We spent months looking for the perfect combination of location, style, amenities (like a 50" Plasma TV), and activities for our friends and family to enjoy. Mission accomplished! Imagine watching the lights fade out on Wisp mountain while unwinding in the bubbling hot tub. Just what you need after a long day spent water-skiing on beautiful Deep Creek Lake, golfing on the six nearby courses, or skiing on Wisp's 32 slopes and 110" of annual snowfall, all only moments away. A Dream Come True is right in the midst of all the popular summer and winter North Lake activities, and Wisp ski resort is less than a mile away. You can walk to the lake, boat rental shops, Sante Fe Grill, even the supermarket. On snowy Deep Creek days, take the kids to the snow tubing park; in the summer it's just a short walk to the boat rental shops or Fun Land's Go cart raceway and minigolf. By staying here, you avoid the time and traffic driving over the bridges to get to all the North Lake activities and the resort - you are already there.

In the mornings, take a stroll for a nearby cup of fresh coffee. With an acre of privacy, you can let the kids go off and play or ride their bikes on the quiet cul-de-sac (in winter they can sled down the front lawn!). Give them one of the provided two-way radios to stay in touch. Spend your days on the lake, on the slopes, at the nearby State Parks, golfing, mountain biking or antiquing -- the activities are endless -- and don't forget Wisp's new mountain coaster and recirculating whitewater course!

In the evenings, enjoy a game of pool in the recreation room, or watch your favorite DVD on the brand new 50 INCH Hi-Def PLASMA TV with Sony home theater and surround speakers (try Halo3 for Xbox 360 on the Plasma, truly amazing). Or simply relax with a game of darts, boardgames, or perhaps just a quiet evening spent by the fireplace in the Great Room with cathedral ceiling.

Need some down time? some tranquility? Pull up a chair on the deck and listen to the birds sing among the tall hickories, or kick back on the swing and simply enjoy the foliage on a bright summer day. You are visiting a beautiful mountain lake vacation area, why rent a townhouse or a condo when A Dream Come True has it all for less! Are the home & furnishings NEW, or do you like "rustic"? If it rains, is the home big enough & filled with amenities to keep everyone happy? Will you need 4-wheel drive to get to the house? Is there cell phone coverage? Will you be wedged in among partying neighbors? Are the grocery store and restaurants nearby? You won't be disappointed here!

  • Great family vacation, We stayed at A Dream Come True for the last week in June and loved every bit of it. We took the kids Power Wheels and they drove around all evening, and adults wound down in the basement shooting pool and watching movies on the Big Screen after spending the entire day on the lake. Was in a nice easy to find location, home, was bigger than it even seems on pics, with rooms everywhere. thanks again

We found your home to be very comfortable and in very good condition and the accommodations worked out well for everyone.   • Hi Cathy, We just wanted to say what a beautiful home you have in Deep Creek. The location without a doubt was perfect. Two families stayed and we never once felt like we were on top of one another. Plenty of room to enjoy all the amenities and the beautiful view. Your home provided us with everything that we needed to make this a true vacation! We watched fights on the big Plasma, played pool and darts, and hung out in the hot tub, what a way to spend a weekend! Your kitchen provided us with everything we needed to make eating at home very comfortable, and keep the expenses down. Best of all everything was exactly the way it seemed on the internet. I must admit that I have been dooped in the past, thinking I was getting one thing and then being disappointed upon arrival. But everything was just the way you had described it and better! We greatly enjoyed your home - the pool table was a big hit with my two boys and the hot tub was heavenly (and clean). We appreciated the nice touches (such as the assortment of oxo utensils, hand soap in the bathrooms). The location was great, and we loved being able to walk to the video store, Perkins and Foodland.   • We spent the week of the 4th of July in "A Dream Come True" and were very happy with everything about the home.It's a private area yet it's close to a great shopping plaza.The grocery and gift stores are very nice.The beds in the home were so comfortable and we had everything we needed for a very enjoyable,relaxing week.I want to thank Cathy and Alan for accomidating us so generously and hope to return to this home again soon.Kind regards,Becky

  • Hi Cathy, Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our weekend at Deep Creek. The house was exactly what we were looking for, new and spotless! The kids asked if we could live there from now on :) They really enjoyed the hot tub, Xbox and riding their scooters out front.   • I know it is beyond late in sending this email, but I did want to let you know that we really did have a great time at your chalet in Aug/Sept. My husband commented that we really picked a winner and our children will always look back on that week as a great family vacation. The house was perfect, with room enough for everyone and still cozy enough for comfort. Although it was a bit rainy that week, we were able to do everything we wanted to in-between raindrops.
