My family has stayed at these beautiful properties on Payette Lake for the past 10 years and can say without hesitation it has been fantastic! The owner has always been a great joy to work with. We have often had little family issues to deal with and the owner always works with us on the family dynamics. The views of the lake are amazing. The kids love the snow fun in the winter right on the property. After hitting the slopes we take a hot water plunge close by and retire to the cabins to enjoy family around the fire. You cant beat staying at these beautiful cabins. They have proven year after year to be great fun for our families. The owner has always been accommodating and easy to work with. Access to all winter and summer activities are close. We recommend highly staying beside the lake at one of these fantastic properties. Everything is so close yet you feel secluded and out of the rat race!

We spent Christmas here with extended family- the house is fabulous! Plenty of room, very clean, well maintained- stunning location. The owner was responsive and pleasant- my only complaint was the snow-plowing too early in the morning!!! :) It was a perfect vacation and we plan on coming back in the summer.

My extended family rented Harris Cove and Fredrick's Lakeside for a family reunion and had a wonderful time at this beautiful lakeside location. Rick very generously let us use one of his pontoon boats one day and made sure that we had everything we needed to have a pleasant experience. The cabins are large with spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms and bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens. Located on a quiet, somewhat secluded section of the lake with easy boat access, I would highly recommend these cabins for large groups and families who enjoy gorgeous scenery and water sport activities.

We brought a total of 32 men on a golf trip this summer. Unfortunately, the golf courses in the area were hit very hard during the winter and were in marginal condition for our visit. However, the lodging made up for it all. Everyone raved about the setting and the condition of all three houses. We have been going on golf trips for about 20 years now and this trip has been rated as the top one, mainly because of the lodging. Having the common deck areas above a dock for swimming was a great place for all to congregate and complain about their golf games. Rick (owner) was very easy to work with and even gave us the use of a pontoon boat for 2 evenings because we were golfing during the day. This is the perfect setting for larger groups, the houses all well equipped as we cooked in most of the time and never lacked for anything. WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK!!!

Beautiful setting and the house was incredible. Couldn't ask for a better stocked house for our family vacation. The location was secluded but close to town and all of the facilities are very well maintained. We had room for our boat and we also had room for our friends to dock their boat when we had them over for dinner by sea!!! Our kids loved the dock and lake decks. The owner was really helpful and couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxed 1st class setting with all the amenities you would need to make your vacation perfect!!!!

We have stayed here many times and have always had a fabulous experience. Wonderful!. The owner is charming and helpful. The furnishings and decor is top rate. Lake views, docks, bbq's, water skiing, swimming, lazing around. Great place for all seasons. Winter wonderland. But the Fall is the most beautiful in the warm, quiet days of Indian Summer. Really an exceptional property, location and owner.

Several items in the house not working. We called Rick(Owner) to let him know and he told us, "if you don't like the _________ house you can leave!!!" The owner was very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. We ended up hanging up the phone because the owner's choice of language he used. We felt that if he was going to advertise certain amenities those items should work. We had someone in our group that had to work via the internet and we chose this property because it had WIFI. Very disappointed that it didn't work. There are several basic maintenance issues with the house. The WIFI does not work. The speakers to the main TV didn't work. There was duct tape holding the wash machine together. The list could go on.... The owner is not an easy person to work with. The house needs some work.

Owner response: We do our best to make sure that the houses are in great condition. We have nice linens and towels that are replaced every 2 years. The Harris Cove Lodge was spotless when these guests arrived and they left a mess for housekeeping. Unfortunately some guests are not respectful or clean. This guest falls into that category. The TV's and appliances all worked perfectly the entire time these guests stayed at LAKESIDE. We do our best but some people are impossible to satisfy. I hope other owners have better fortunes than we did if they rent to this guest - good luck!!! They are not welcome at LAKESIDE in the future.

This was a perfect place for 5 sisters to spend 5 days together!! We stayed in the Frederick Lakeside Lodge and it was fantastic. The most peaceful, beautiful setting to enjoy and relax. We loved it so much we spent most all of our time there! The furnishings are above average, well stocked cabin, plenty of outdoor furnishings and an outdoor grill. We came back feeling so grateful to have found this place and getting the chance to make some fun memories there! It would be the perfect place for larger groups to stay in all 3 cabins. There is plenty of deck areas to gather and enjoy each other when you are down at the lake too! Rick is a very nice guy and wants to make sure you have everything you need. He has done a great job building these cabins and all the maintenance you can tell he takes great pride in all of them. Thanks Rick for sharing your special place with us! I hope we can come back again!

We celebrated the 100th birthday of our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother in a 4-day stay the end of September in the Harris Cove and Frederick Lakeside lodges. We couldn't have been more pleased with the location and accommodations. We found these two houses completely outfitted with kitchenware and kitchen/bedroom/bathroom linens, DVDs, Wifi connection, and outdoor grills and furniture. The indoor furnishings are first-clas, decore absolutely lovely, and setting spectacular. Plenty of parking space. The many bathrooms were a major factor in our comfort. Rick was very attentive. Extremely clean and well maintained. We give it our highest recommendation.

We rented the Harris Cove Lodge and the Hawk'sd Nest Lodge over memorial Day Weekend. The pictures posted make the houses look very clean and well kept up. Let me tell you....The pictures do not do it justice. When we arrived both houses were fantastic. Not only were they very clean but everything was well stocked. When they say all you have to bring is your food ...believe it. Everyone in our party kept saying how comfortable the beds and comforters were. The view from several of the rooms and the deck are beautiful. The bunk room is great for kids - sleeps 6, and plenty of room outside to wear thekids out. You can tell Rick really cares for the houses and the way they are kept up. He is very easy to work with and makes any adjustments he possibly can to make your stay more comfortable. If you get the chance to stay at any of Rick's homes you will not be disappointed. We will come back again. Thanks Rick for a great weekend.

Family stayed at Frederick Lodge for 2011 Winter Carnival. The lodge is lovely with very comfortable high-end furnishings and fabulous bathrooms. The surroundings are beautiful and I imagine summer would be even better as you would be able to walk around the lodge and get down to the water with no difficulty. We had trouble getting heat in the lodge initially and had to call the owner to come help. After a few adjustments we had heat and had no problem with it for the remainder of the stay. There were a few misunderstandings with the owner that could have been handled better that left mixed feelings. Although the lodge was exactly what we were looking for we won't return.

Owner response: We do our best to please all guests at LAKESIDE. Unfortunately some people do not use good judgement as guests. We feel bad that this guest was not satisfied but when damage is occurring to the property or houses we let them know it is not appropriate or acceptable behavior. We are glad the guest liked the house and hope they have better luck in the future. We do our best to see that guests at LAKESIDE have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Have stayed @ Lakeside 3 yrs in a row.The houses are VERY nice. Well equipped, beautiful views, gorgeous sunsets.Summers are spectacular.Tried the winter, very nice, warm and cozy, outstanding skiing @ Brundage, best kept powder snow secret in the west.Owner Rick is accomodating and easy to work with,is available for assistance with any problem or issue.Flexibility of accomodation is great, can handle any size group up to 40.We snowmachined around the Northeast side of the lake and were able to access all the trails to Burgdorf, Warren and South Fork of Salmon. We were able to park our trailers @ Lakeside and ride right from our front door to the main trail system. This eliminated a bunch of hassel and transport time which meant more time on sled.I highly recommend Lakeside, excellant value for money any season, beautiful houses. Some of the most beautiful wilderness in Idaho right outside your door.
