Very old and picturesque French fishing town -- second oldest city in France.
Charming three-story connected house to rent, right in the center of town (historic district).
Many cafes, restaurants, etc.
Agde is located in Languedoc directly on the Herault River (and also directly on the very pretty Canal du Midi), two miles from the Mediterranean beaches.
Lots of good vineyards -- Languedoc's well-known for its local wines.
The coast is lined with beaches: tennis, golf, boating, all sorts of water sports, entertainment
Excellent public transportation. The house is just a short walk from the Agde train station, so there's very easy access to all of Europe.
Direct TGV (extra-fast train) between Agde and Paris. 15 minutes to Sete. 1/2 hour to Montpellier (major academic and metropolitan center).
Television(including CNN), radios, cassette and CD player, microwave, espresso maker, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, hundreds of books.
Sleeps six or seven.
Children and pets welcome.
