Our comfortably elegant, sunny, clean, and spacious new vacation home was designed with the help of an architect and has been beautifully decorated with a combination of family antiques, and Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel furnishings. With nine-foot ceilings throughout the first floor, a cathedral ceiling in the master-bedroom, and many windows, the house is light, bright and airy.
An ideal place to escape the pressures of the city--as well as the bustle of the Hamptons in the high season--the house is tucked away on five wooded acres toward the end of a cul-de-sac, adjacent to a 72 acre preserve. A gracious living room with a fireplace and grand piano opens out through two sets of French Doors on to a covered screened-in porch, and into a lovely dining-room that seats 6-10.
The eat-in kitchen is well-equipped, and the TV room can be closed off and used as a spare bedroom if desired. The house offers many places to gather for conversation or games and others to relax alone with a book. We also now have WIFI, DSL wireless internet access, so bring your laptop and stay totally connected.
The house also has a swing-set, a sand-box and a pool that is fenced separately from the house. We also have a play area that has toy boxes with dress-ups, a doll-house, books and a huge Brio train track collection. A high chair, kids' furniture and pack'n'play are also available for use.
The house is private, off the main roads, but also within easy access to shopping and restaurants, ocean and bay beaches, cultural activities, and recreation including golf, tennis, and walking & biking trails. The house is an idyllic spot: at the end of a cul-de-sac surrounded by hundreds of acres of preserve land it is private and quiet, but it is also centrally located in the Hamptons, with easy access to Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Sagaponack and Bridgehampton. It is an amazing place to enjoy the Hamptons.

We enjoy a spacious, clean, bright and sunny home with lots of privacy. The lawn and gardens and woods beyond provide a beautiful retreat. We love to entertain at our vacation home as the house easily accommodates visits from family and friends and the kitchen/dining and living areas have wonderful flow and offer a very appealing space.
Boat Rides of the Harbor on the American Beauty, Fishing off the dock, impressive yachts summer here. Enjoy a drink at B Smith's or take out from the Dock House.
Lovely Bay Beach with playsets for younger kids, tucked off of Bay Street. Great place to hang out if the ocean is too much for your little ones. Nice for walking.
Tennis club open to the public with clinics, hydro-courts, etc. Great shady playground. Ball Fields.

My husband and I built our Hamptons Vacation "Dream" House in order to fully enjoy all that the Hamptons have to offer. We were both drawn to the incredible beauty of the area, the biking, walking and the unsurpassed ocean beaches. My husband loves to fish and explore the bay by boat. I love the cultural scene--the theaters, music and arts scene. And we both love the restaurants, special events, and the historic nature of the area--Sag Harbor, a former whaling capital of the world, has charming houses and fun docks to see the water and boats. Our children love it here as well--all the recreation--the beaches, tennis nearby at Mashashimuet Park, golf with many amazing courses, and when they were younger, the amazing playground at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor.
