Original 1920's Log Cabin with large living room area facing the lake. Newer bath with shower. Only 51 miles North of downtown Minneapolis. Lovely property on a dead-end road with many tall pines and 127 feet of level, sandy beach. State owned spawning property across the street so neighbors are only on each side. A West-facing lake view offers absolutely gorgeous sunsets! Lake shore includes a nice dock with an 8' x 12' deck and a large built-in bench.
Beautifully maintained cabin with 850 sq ft of living space, lovely hard wood floors and fully equipped. The beds have good mattresses, cozy sheets and comforters. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a full and a twin.
This is a cozy spot with the best shoreline (no hill) on the lake. The 240 acre lake is clean and has both public boat access and a nice public beach within easy walking distance of the cabin. Lake water clarity is over eleven feet and great for Bass, Northern and Pan Fish. It's regularly stocked with Walleye and Northern Pike. The Rum River is less than a mile away.
Winter is good for ice fishing, skating and snowmobiling.
If you're busy and want to be close to "The Twin Cities", this is a wonderfully comfortable, authentic cabin getaway - just an hour from downtown.

Tanger Outlet is just 20 minutes away - One hour to Downtown Minneapolis - About 80 minutes to The Mall of America - 90 minutes to popular "Up North" casinos. View spectacular sunsets from the cabin.
Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Winter Nightly Rates: $120/Week; $145/Wkends.
Summer Nightly Rates: $195/Week; $225/Wkends $245/Holidays
Weekly Rates: $900/winter; $1250/summer. Prices are based on two adults.
There's an optional $50 cleaning fee which we reserve the right to exersize.
Check-in is 3:00pm; Check-out 10:00am.
Extras available(arrange in advance): Hot tub; daily cleaning; laundry; catering.
Cancellations receive a full refund less:over 45days=$50 fee;14to45days=$100 fee.
No refund within two weeks of reservation.

My family and the dog had a great time at the cabin. The owners were very accommodating and the water was warm and clear. The cabin was cute and rustic looking but had all the modern conveniences. We swam and fished off the end of the dock. It was a beautiful setting and the weather was perfect. We hope to come again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

Wonderful retreat. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the water. The cabin was cute and perfect for two couples. It was a great way to spend the weekend.

Perfect getaway. Husband & I stayed here over Memorial day weekend. The water is just a skip and a jump out our front door! No need for a cooler when you can grab a beer right out of the fridge and continue on fishing! Enjoyed the clear water and watching the water skiers do tricks. Cooked steaks on the grill and had a bonfire too. The only place in town for breakfast is the Creamery which is delicous, but otherwise I recommend bringing some eggs to cook up. Great bar and grill 1 mile away for good lunch, dinner, and drinks. The bed was extra comfy and the blankets smelled fresh. Owners were a nice lovely couple and very hospitable, brought us some DVD's to watch at night, which was really nice to have.

My family and I have stayed here on a number of occasions and have always had wonderful experiences. You can't help but fall in love with the adorable cabin at first site! Bring a good book to enjoy on the deck or curl up at night and enjoy the sounds of the loons. Our family loves the lake vacations and we appreciate the convenience of the quick commute back to the cities if need be. Great experience!
