This private home was built in the 80's with soaring 2-story ceilings in living room, formal dining, breakfast bar, two large bedroom and an office with an additional day bed that pulls out and sleeps two. One bedroom has a California King, and the other a Queen. There are two full baths, a private enclosed patio with a gas bbq and outdoor seating, and the biggest 2-car garage I've ever seen in Los Angeles.
There is a huge garage with direct access to the house, and two remote transmitters for the electric garage.
We live 10 minutes away, and make every attempt to meet all guests upon arrival. If we are unable to meet and greet then there is a key in the lock box so you can just let yourself in. You will have to tell us your favorite number to program the lock box.
Silverlake is the heartbeat of Los Angeles. In the hills with lovely views, a beautiful recreation area surrounding the lake, and wonderful dining and clubs nearby, you might never leave the neighborhood. The are Saturday and Tuesday Farmer's Markets, another Friday market in nearby Echo Park, and a Sunday market in nearby Los Feliz. We are near public golf courses, Kiddie attractions like the Zoo, Pony Rides, Mini Train, and Travel Town. We are s short drive or bus ride to Downtown Los Angeles, or shopping and dining in nearby Glendale.
The 92 Metro Bus stop is a block away, and goes directly downtown Los Angeles via the Music Center, or directly to Glendale and Burbank. Of course you can transfer to other buses or trains for the Valleys, Beaches, or Museums

Electric vehicle surcharge of $3 per night applies. There is no tax on rentals of at least 30 days, and therefore this is a highly discounted rate. Please don't ask for a further discount unless you are willing to put the utilities into your name, for which we will fairly discount the monthly rate for guests staying 2 months or longer. This area of the Silverlake District is just 2 hilly blocks from the Lake. It was formerly Silverlake Reservoir, but is now a recreational district with trails, bike paths, a meadow, playground, and ball courts. This area was formerly referred to as Edendale, and was the birthplace of the motion picture industry.

About the owner: I am a retired real estate broker in the Silverlake district of Los Angeles. Along with my husband, Lee, we have raised our 3 children here, and they all went to local public schools and universities. I volunteer at the weekly book sale at the Edendale Library and volunteer an an Angelita del Pueblo, the non profit organization that gives free walking tours in the Historic District.

If you have multiple cars, there is no off-street parking issues. We have the largest 2-car garage I've ever seen in Los Angeles. And there is an incredible amount of storage space in the garage, basement, and attic.
