Why the Owner Chose Sedona

We moved to this family owned ranch in 1992. We built the guesthouse next to our home for my husband's great aunt to enjoy her ranch in her senior years. Now that she is gone, it is the perfect place for an unusual vacation rental in the heart of Northern Arizona. Our guests are grateful to be tucked away each night in a private, peaceful place to restore for the next day's activities.

Owner's Map of Sedona

We live on a historic Ranch near Sedona where the livestock was driven through Sedona on their way to the Summer pastures near Flagstaff. We love to garden, watch the cows graze, and read when there's time.

"We made good on our promise from last year's inaugural stay and brought my parents with us this time. It was more magical than I remembered and we hope to be back before next Spring- friends in tow. Even though I had some homework, this was the lovliest mini-vacation ever! (Actually- is there any better place to write?) See you again soon!"

We tell our friends we're returning to "our place" in Arizona. As always, many thanks for your warm hospitality...you too, Heidi!" (the pooch)

"We loved our stay here this week. This is the first vacation we've had in years and we loved how relaxing it is here! A great place to come back to at the end of a long day out exploring. We loved having the cat meet us at the car each evening as we came "home". He walked and talked us back to our room each night.(He was not allowed inside.) Thanks for everything."

"Many thanks, Shirley & Steve, for making our visit to Sedona such a wonderful one by our having such a peaceful "Home" to go to at the end of each day. We have enjoyed this peaceful get-a-way, good nights of sleep in the large comfy bed, the pets, the outdoor beauty, the comfortable roomy home away from home, the "extras" in the kitchen, and the gas stove! Thank you! We have enjoyed many of the Sedona sites- God has blessed us with much natural beauty!"

"Thanks for providing a "Home" complete with critters both domestic and wild! We had a blast via Shirley's hiking suggestions and avoided the tourism in favor of the natural splendor. A return trip would definately feature Sycamore Springs and its most thoughtful hosts. All our best."
