My husband and I stayed in the cottage that is on the property with this house. It was a beautiful place to stay. We traveled to Boston from here and also traveled a lot around Plymouth in the week that we stayed at the cottage. There is so much to do and everything is really close by. If we head that way again we will certainly stay in the cottage again. There was a family that stayed in the house while we were in the cottage and there were no disturbances at all. We would not have even known they were there. Thank you Dawn for allowing us the privilege of staying in the appropriately named "Cozy Sycamore Cottage".
Owner response:Autumn, You were a welcome addition to our Summer :) Please come visit us again. Warmest Wishes, Dawn

We loved this house and ALL of its charm. You can't say enough about having your own beach shared with just a few neighbors - if you have been to the Jersey Shore and searched for a place to put a towel, you will be shocked. We had bon fires down there at night with our cocktails, and the kids were unphased by the cold water. This is also a very dog friendly neighborhood, which was great for us dog-people. This isn't a typical beach house with one huge great room and flimsy construction. There is space and lots of privacy in the house, and you can't hear a thing from room to room because the house is so solidly built. However, if you are looking for central air and a flat screen tv in every room, this is not the house for you. If you appreciate really cool architecture and the history of a neat old house, you will be right at home. If you run/walk, you'll love the trails and spectacular views. Neighbors who live here year-round are fantastic and helpful as well. We also rented the adjoining cottage for our older kids, which worked out well. It's very close to the main house, so I would consider renting it along with the house just so that you have all of the great yard and space to yourself. We would return again in a minute, and the owner is gracious and helpful.

This home was just perfect for our weekend retreat! Very close proximity to the ocean, quiet street, lovely grounds, and a house that comfortably accommodated 10 women. We loved everything about it! Working with the home owner was better than average and she went way out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We certainly would consider coming back in the future with our group! Private, quaint, and homey! We loved it! Thank-you, Dawn.
Owner response:Nan, thank you! I have to say I was equally delighted working with you as well. It was a pleasure and you're all welcome back, anytime! All the best, Dawn

I stayed at this property with my family of 5. It was everything that the owner described it would be, clean, spacious, well maintained and close to a beautiful beach. There were many games and beach toys for adults and kids. The owner, Dawn, was easy to get in touch with for questions. It is layed out so as to accomodate many people without too much noise or feeling crowded. We would look no further to find a different place to rent when in the area. Friends and family that visited felt the same. Great yard and porch to hang out complete with barbeque. We had a previous bad experience renting sight unseen so I am writing this to save others the same nightmare. A great home to relax in, play in and entertain in.

My friends and I have stayed in many places over the years, but I have to say this was definitely one of the most unique homes we have come across. As we walked through the gate and into the property, pass the multitude of beautiful perennials there was such a serene feel to the place and then we walked inside and it took our breath away. We were absolutely amazed. We needed to walk through every room a number of times just to take in everything. Property was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The owner responded quickly to any and all questions we had. Would definitely recommend to anyone. It is the kind of house that makes you feel right at home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

It's always a pleasure meeting all the folks that come visit throughout the year. This summer, we've had folks from all over - AZ, CT, the UK, NY, Canada, WI, NJ... They were all very happy to be here and were very respectful of the property, the beach and eachother. I just want to thank everyone who's visited and let you know what a pleasure it is for me to meet and share this space with each of you. Your being here makes it possible for me to be here too. I wish you all a wonderful year and happy life filled with lots of love, compassion, peace and joy - you are always welcome. Dawn

Thank you, Dawn for having such an idyllic cottage setting for us to enjoy. Words fail to adequately convey how much I enjoyed being there along with Trent, Denise, Sara and Alex and Dominic and Marcella. It was so peaceful and restful, exactly what we all needed to recharge our batteries. Thanks again for your cottage and hospitality. With sincere gratitude, Jeannie

We had a great time! My family was so happy that I talked them into renting a house vs. a hotel. Your home is beautiful. Mark - Mark and his family did not feel as though the pictures did the house any justice. They thought it was going to be a very small place and were surprised when they stepped inside. The house is actually 2500 square feet of living space with a very large central living room. Mark took some extra pictures and sent them to me. So I'll include them on the webpage.
