Nice Cabin; Convenient Location; Would rent again!

Every year we take our boys up to Tahoe to play in the snow. We had a small condo we rented every year for this annual excursion, but this year we could not due to some rennovations occuring so we did some research and decided to give the Tanglewood Cabin a try. Bottom-line I can say we were pleased with this rental. It is nicely located so that you are close to many amenities, but off the main road enough so you feel like you are getting away. We had six people (4 adults, 2 kids) and we were comfortable. As the photos indicate the 4 beds in the loft are for kids, most adults will not fit in them. There is a futon in the loft as well that I took advantage of once my kids wormed their way in to the bed my wife and I were using. There is a HDTV in the loft and downstairs. The one in the loft has a PS2 hooked up to it for games and to watch DVDs. The downstairs had a DVD player as well. The kids absolutely had a blast playing Foosball!!! Wireless connection worked very well for those that need to stay connected. The cabin is well maintained and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking accessories (pots, pans, etc.). All appliances were in working order. Toaster is provided as well as a coffee maker. Plenty of bowls, plates, cups, etc. The owners are also very good about giving you their contact information in case anything come up in regards to the operation of the cabin. One additional thing, and this was important to us since we were up there during the winter, was that the central heating worked very well giving us a nice warm comfortable place to come back to after playing in the snow.

We had a nice vacation there. Thanks a lot for maintaining the cabin so nicely. Everything we needed was there. Kids were very happy as they had a separate TV and games to play in the loft. We were impressed with the quality of stuff there. I'm recommending this cabin to all my friends and group mates. Thanks!!

Thanks Tanglewood for a great weekend in South Lake Tahoe. The cabin was just as expected when we arrived. The kids loved the game tables upstaris. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. Loved being able to sit on the deck and enjoy a cocktail, in the gorgous fall weather! It was a little off season, so we were the only vacationers in the cul-de-sac...which was nice. Next time I will have the kids bring scooters or bikes. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed to cook delish meals. The customer service with the owners was great, very prompt on responding to emails. I would recommend this property and will most likely stay again. Thanks again!

Perfect summer getaway!

We rented this cabin for a group of 7 adults to stay for 2 days in August for a quick summer getaway. We were thrilled with our experience - the cabin was lovely, sunny, and quiet - away from the hubbub of the main drag, but with everything easily accessible either by car or by foot/bike. The kitchen was well stocked, and we cooked a number of large family meals without any problems. The owners couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating with our plans and questions and our entire experience was easy and relaxing. We would love to stay there again if we find ourselves in South Lake Tahoe!!

Just returned from a great stay at the Tangelwood cabin. The location was great for the kids, no traffic on the cul de sac and a meadow across from the place where the kids could play. The cabin itself was the best stocked I have ever seen. There was not anything we needed to prepare meals that was not there, including plenty of large size pots and pans for a big family. The cabin was very clean and the owner provided the best customer service I have ever received when renting a place. The location was close to the beach and casinos yet far enough away to just chill and enjoy the piece and quiet. We will definately be visiting again next year and we plan on staying a little longer just to enjoy everything they have to offer.

Looking for a place to stay try the Tanglewood Cabin...So close & convenient to everything...The kids had a blast this cabin provided lots of nightly entertainment for kids with games & such! I highly recommend this cabin! !

Unfortunately i did not read the rental agreement so did not realize there were not sheets on ALL the beds. A call to Brad on Friday night at 7 and he had several sets of sheets on our doorstep within an hour!! The cabin for our family of 6 was perfect for the 4 nights..the kitchen was so well set up we only went out for one meal. Another notable points include the pleasant neighborhood, the quiet, and the nice meadow nearby for walks. We enjoyed vigorous hikes everyday and it was just great to get back to our relaxing "home." I took a poll and all 6 of us would return to Tanglewood...so many hiking trails, so little time! Thanks Brad for your efficiency!!

Again, sorry it wasn't clear in the rental agreement that we don't provide sheets for the small "kid beds" and futon in the loft. To try and call this out better for future renters, we've underlined in our rental agreement that renters need to bring sheets if they plan to use these extra beds. As mentioned, this allows us to keep the nightly rates lower. As you saw, we do provide plenty of extra blankets and pillows for those beds. Hope you found the linens provided in the two main bedrooms to your liking. Thanks again and we look forward to your next visit!

Great experience: easy transaction, fair price

My family rented this cabin and we had a great time. It was really easy to rent it from the owner -- a quick response and confirmation (as well as the all-important directions) back to us. And the price was fair -- we compared it to many other cabins in the area. The Cabin is right next to a nature walk. My Son loved it. You will also be close to Skiing and sledding. We ended up Sledding at Eco-park just a few minutes from the Cabin then finished the day at the beach on the lake. Only in Tahoe. It is also perfect for two family’s with Kids. Lots of room and a great loft area for the kids to hang out in. All in all it was perfect for a quick getaway or a weekend of Skiing. We hope to use the cabin again in the future during the summertime.

Fantastic Time

I had looked into several cabins in the Tahoe area. The owners were very pleasant and helpful with all of my questions/concerns. Since it was my first time renting a cabin I had plenty of questions too. Our stay was amazing!! There was enough room for all of us, 6 adults and 2 children, and we found that we had everything that we needed. I actually over packed quite a bit cause I wasn't sure and didn't want to be without. The cabin was extremely clean and very comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and were sad to leave. I would recommend this cabin due to the location, comfort and the owners. The entire process went smoothly. I will be back!

Vacation "Home Away from Home"

We had a wonderful stay at your place, although it just wasn't long enough! The cabin was spacious enough for all of us, and it was very nicely appointed, with nice cookware, appliances, linens, TV's, etc. It was a regular "home away from home". I'm so glad that you told us about the CD with the drive around Lake Tahoe. We took advantage of that as well. Brent and Gina were very responsive, providing clear directions, and were flexible. They provided local information, allowing us to have a fun-packed stay in a short amount of time. There were even beach toys for the baby!

We have stayed at the Tanglewood a total of 4 times since June 2008 and we love it! The house is perfect for us. Our 3 young children love the upstairs loft, we are comfortable in either the upstairs or downstairs bedroom and of course we love that there are 2 full bathrooms. My parents have also come with us and we fit very well. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything a cook/mom needs to feed the family. The rustic setting makes it feel like a real cabin, but it has all the amenities one has in their own home. Our kids can play and ride their bikes in the parking area/cul-de-sac in front of the house. There are biking/walking trails nearby and a big grassy glade for the kids to play ball and run wild. The house is in the perfect location - close to everything one expects to find in South Lake Tahoe. And at night it is very quite and peaceful. Brent and Gina, the owners, are extremely friendly and responsive. It is a pleasure dealing with them. I do not hesitate in recommending the Tanglewood.

Nicely decorated, centrally located, good value

The cabin was just as described. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and nice loft area. We enjoyed using the cabin as our lunching point for the day - hiking, mtn biking, going to the beach, etc. Owners provided great customer service with clear instructions and directions.

Perfect Location For All Around South Tahoe Fun!

This cabin is clean and comfortable with a great deck on the front to hang out on. It is centrally located between the casinos and Camp Richardson making it the perfect location! It is tucked off the main strip in a quiet neighborhood which makes it feel like home. Kitchen has everything you need in it to stay in and cook or just mix drinks and then go out to dinner. I can't wait for our next stay here!

A fun house

We stayed at the house for 4 nights and we really enjoyed it. The decorations throughout the house are very unique. Though the house is small, it's very functional and can comfortably accommodate 10 people. The location is convenient, close to grocery and convenient stores. Also parking is very easy. The owner is easy to deal with. Responsive and flexible. Cons: TVs are kind of out of date. (But we don't come here to watch TV!) I would highly recommend this place and will come back again if there is chance.
