My husband and I had a wonderful week at Egret's Landing. The cottage was clean and comfortable and was a great place to rest and relax when we were not out and about enjoying the outdoors at this waterfront property or visiting numerous great places to see in the area. The deck areas and the waterfront dock were terrific for just sitting and relaxing or throwing a line in the water to test the fishing. The view is beautiful, and certainly just sitting there taking it in helps to relieve the stress of an otherwise busy life. Particularly appealing is also this property's convenient location that is close to the things to see and do in New Braunfels and Gruene. Gruene is one of our favorite spots, with its numerous shops, antiques, restaurants, and the music at Gruene Hall. The property manager was great. She was helpful, efficient, and thoughtful in assisting us in planning our stay. We hope to come back in the future.

We had a wonderful time at this location. The house is just as described and the backyard with patio and decks is great. Loved the view from the patio and deck. We had great weather the week we were there. Explored New Braunfels, Texas Hill Country - drove to Canyon Lake and even Fredericksburg. Of course, the outlet malls were a definite bonus for me! We give it an A+!

Had a wonderful time at Egrets. The house is perfectly located. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and hanging out in the backyard overlooking the lake. It is also great to go to other sites in the area. It is a short drive to San Antonio and other attractions in New Braunfels. The house was spotless when we arrived and the washer and dryer were great there on site. Can't wait to go back!!!!

This house was absolutely perfect for me and my group of friends! We came down for the weekend to float the river and to hang out, and this was the best getaway! The house was cozy and everything was right there! We spent both Friday and Saturday nights out on the deck, enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. I will most definately be returning, and I will make sure that I let everyone know about Egret's Landing!

We had a wonderful 4 days at Egret's Landing. The house was a perfect fit for the four of us and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the access to the water and enjoyed watching all the water skiers, jet skis, and boats pass by - great entertainment. The location of the house was very easy to find and very quick access to town and Wal-Mart. Will definitely be a return customer!!

We had a group of 7 friends staying at this house for a weekend and couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. The house was clean and exactly as described upon arrival. The backyard is amazing and we spent our evenings grilling out and enjoying the dock and water. The owner of the house is very friendly and great to deal with. I would highly recommend this property!

This was our second year staying at Egret's Landing and once again, it was AWESOME!! I would highly recommend bringing a boat if you have one. The boat launch is under I35 which is only a few minutes away. Everything about Egret's Landing is perfect!! We had 8 adults in our group and the house, once again, suited us perfect. The upper deck is great for sitting around the table in the late evening, looking out over the water, and watching the sun go down. Early in the mornings, we were down on the lower deck fishing, watching the sun come up. River Road, for all your tubing adventures, is only about ten minutes away, and a great scenic drive through the Hill Country. The house location is great because it feels like you are staying out in the country, but town is only a few minutes away. One of the best things for us is, we cook all our own food and anything you could possibly need to cook with is provided in the kitchen. Extra sheets, pillows, and blankets are provided. The house is VERY comfortable and cozy. We will most definitely be back again next year!! I would highly recommend Egret's Landing to anyone for any occasion.

Very nice. The water views and the deck are very nice. We enjoyed just sitting in the swing and taking in the view. Our children enjoyed fishing off of the deck. This house is just minutes away from attractions, but yet you feel like you have gotten away from it all. Very peaceful and quiet. This was perfect for our family with young children.

Just got back from a 2 night stay and couldn't be happier. The house is perfect for a group of friends or family to get away. The water access is fantastic and provides for some beautiful sunsets. Grocery and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away, as is River Rd. Great pricing compared to other houses available. I will definitely be returning next summer. No complaints.

This was exactly what we were looking for (and more). It was a great location for Schlitterbahn or to float on the Guadalupe. The house was great, the landscaping was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the deck area and swimming right off the lower deck. Oh yeah, thanks for the goodie basket! We'll be back!

Charming cottage is a stretch for this over priced, brick box. The house is very low-end for this price and the property next door is vacant and run down with high grass, resulting in lots of bugs. The owner/manager is not accomodating and did not disclose the fact that the river had flooded, the water treatment plant had contaminated the water and the house was uninhabitable. My family got sick. She did not offer to refund of comp any of the fees. We were unable to swim in the water, and had to go into town during the day just to get away from the smell and mosquitos. Most miserable trip ever, and it all could have been avoided had she contacted me regarding the river flood and rescheduled our stay. Never again, would not recommend.
Owner response:We offer an authentic hill country experience in a cozy, lakeside cabin. We offer honest, prompt service in a clean, serene environment. We have been satisfying hundreds of guests over the years, and we are always sorry when a guest leaves disappointed. Unfortunately we cannot control the weather, and we are not always able to cater to guests who are perhaps better suited for a hotel stay. We hope to continue to satisfy our customers in the future, and will continue to provide top service to those who stay with us here in New Braunfels.

Our stay was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations! The interior of the cottage was clean and had a great layout. The kitchen is an open floor plan and fully setup with everything we needed to make some really delicious meals and drinks. We spent very little time indoors because the yard is beautifully setup with plenty of seating areas. Even though it is close to town we felt secluded in our own private resort. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the mornings on the porch swing under the canopy and reading. The afternoons were filled with card games at the picnic table on the deck and swimming in the river. We very much recommend this place to anyone wanting a place to relax and enjoy the river while staying close to all fun that New Braunfels and San Antonio have to offer!

We were a little nervous driving up here because all we knew about this place was what we had read on the internet, and the only pictures we had seen before getting here were the ones used for advertising online. So needless to say, we weren't sure what we were about to get into. This place exceeded any and all expectations! We love this place and will most definitely be back here. In fact, we are already planning the trip for next year. We loved this place so much that we hung out here most of our trip on the deck by the water or in it. The deck and scenery here is beyond awesome. We want to move in permanently!

We enjoyed a nice 4 days here. It served as a great staging area for our forays to San Antonio, as well as being an idyllic setting for a good family gathering. I know I personally loved sitting on the backyard bench at night, staring off into the horizon. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay. We did a lot of running around and needed a quiet home base. We enjoyed fishing off the dock a few nights. We did the big tourist stuff-Sea World, Schlitterbahn, Alamo. The house was a nice way to slow down and re-group for the next day. We tried to eat at non-chain restaurants. Our favorite was Gristmill in Gruene. The danishes at Naeglin's were awesome. Get there early if you want a fried apple pie.
