Escape to the Mountains in this Beautiful New Lake front Log Cabin With Gorgeous Sunset Views! Canoe And Paddle Boat for your enjoyment! Bring Your Family and Don't Forget Your Boat! Take a bath in THE clawfoot bathtub from the movie "The Notebook"!!
Or you can go for a slow cruise around our large cove with safe no wake zone on our pedal boat, or take the canoe out for a tour of Beautiful Lake Lure. (Remember to stay close to shore line in non-motorized boats.) Take a cool dip from the dock, (water is deep at front of dock, and rocky bottom toward sea wall due to mountain region). Or cast a line for trout, bass or a good time.
Simply lounge on the front porch, downstairs rock patio or dock and gaze at the glorious mountain view and wait for the gorgeous sunset. Park right on street (parking for 2 vehicles) and just a few steps enter the Simple Life II, our new log cabin located next door to our Simple Life I cottage. Special rates for renting both homes.
You will enter the second floor with warm pine floors, walls, and ceiling! You will find a full bath, a generous size kitchen in all pine with all the necessities of home, which opens to the 20' X 13' living room and dining room, with gas vent-free fireplace reminiscent of a log burning stove, a queen sleeper, and plenty of seating to enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views or for laying back and catching a movie or game on tv. WiFi is through ATT&T.
Upstairs you will find a small loft with double futon set up as bed for 2, and a master bedroom with queen size brass bed. The "Notebook" bathroom has the clawfoot slipper bathtub from the movie "The Notebook" where the bride takes a bath in her wedding veil. You too can take a bath in the VERY SAME BATH TUB! I don't recommend wearing your wedding veil.
Also a beautiful reproduction pedestal sink from the movie and brass quilt rack for your towels. I was fortunate to attend the movie's auction after they were done filming in my hometown of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and bid and won several items.
Down to the first floor you will find a full bath with shower, stack washer/dryer and two bedrooms, one with queen size bed and the other with bunk bed with a full size mattress on bottom and twin size mattress on top. Each bedroom has sliding glass door out to stone patio where you can relax, or take the steps down to the dock for swimming, fishing or boating. Everything is provided, except bring your own swim towels and smiles!
