Built in (2005), three bedroom home overlooking sweeping gardens with magnificent views of and access to historic Middle Bay. Our cove is home to osprey, eagles, and loons. Feel free to stroll among the 20 plus gardens, including ponds with waterfalls, woodland gardens, and a Japanese garden.
The house is airy and bright throughout the day, and has been built for the renter's convenience... All new appliances, hardwood and ceramic tile floors, Jacuzzi bath, custom-built hardware staircase, and an open floor plan are some of the features of this quiet get-away in the historic Pennellville area of Brunswick, a prime coastal Maine destination. Two and a half baths, sleeps six to eight comfortably. Delightfully furnished with comfy couches and soft chairs, expandable dining room table, breakfast island, and tasteful fixtures throughout.
Unlike many Maine cottages, ours is fully-equipped with many amenities including double oven, gas grill for outdoor barbecues, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, TV/VCR/DVD, Wi-FI, HIGH SPEED INTERNET. The large, sunny master bedroom has a queen-size bed, hand-crafted of solid cherry by noted Maine furniture maker David Margonelli. Queen beds in other bedrooms, which have plenty of space for a crib or futon for the kids. All bedrooms have capacity for data ports, cable TV, and phone. Sorry, No Pets or No Smoking. Kennels are close by.
The entertainment center in the living room contains the provided cable TV/VCRDVD. The living room and dining room both have water views and large sliding doors for easy outside access to a hand built stone patio. The dock and float (accessible by boat at high tide) offer easy swimming, kayaking and canoeing opportunities in the nooks and crannies of tidal Middle Bay. If you'd like, buy clams from clammers fresh from our flats.
Although you will feel in a different world, the cottage is only five minutes from town. The Brunswick area offers professional summer stock theatre, Bowdoin College art museum, easy shopping. We are ten minutes from L.L. Bean and great Freeport outlet shopping, and easy driving distance to stunning Popham and Pemaquid beaches. The immediate area offers miles of flat country roads for roller blading and biking. For the less active, read or snooze in the hammock. Access to the owner's nearby hot tub is available by prior arrangement.
