My husband and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The cabin is an old schoolhouse that has been converted into a one bedroom cabin. The living room has a sofa sleeper that is perfect for chlidren. This is a great location. Yellowstone is a short 30 minutes away and Paradise Valley has plenty of hikes and wildlife to offer. The cabin is literally on the edge of a National Forest. Chico Resort is a mile or so away and offers one of the "must" dining experiences in the Yellowstone area. Our daughter even took private horseback riding lessons at their stables. Bryan and Sally are excellent hosts. There is no dishwasher or W/D but there is a laundry a short drive away. This is exactly the type of non-resort off the beaten track vacation we seek. We will be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

The positives: Beautiful area, quiet and woodsy, great hiking, Yellowstone river nearby. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was adequate. The owner was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The negatives: Farther from Yellowstone than we expected. The creek is across the street and down a steep hill. No dishwasher. That nice balcony that you see in the picture is not available to the renter. When we first arrived at the cabin, we were a bit disappointed with the distance to Yellowstone and the distance to the creek. We thought about not staying, but I am glad that we did stay. Paradise Valley is beautiful and we would have missed one of our favorite parts of our vacation. The owner, Bryan pointed us to some great rides up forest service roads and gave us some good ideas of things to do in the area. All in all, this cabin was a real bargain. I did not want to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family stayed here for 2 nights to have some down time after exploring Grand Teton National Park and Yellow Stone National Park. The cabin was VERY clean. It is an older cabin, but you couldn't ask to rent from nicer people. The cabin has some great antiques. The sheets and towels smelled great. We took a great hike up Emmigrant Peak Mountain. After resting up we were on our way to Glacier National Park.
