I was extremely impressed with the accommodations of our Aspen rental, at the Fifth Avenue condos, property 58836. It is the perfect location, easy/short walk to the best of Aspen. The interior of the condo has state of art appliances, flat screen tv's and wireless internet. Beautiful interior design, a very comfortable feel to the condo and spacious. Michael the owner was a complete pleasure to work with and beyond accommodating. I would DEFINITELY rent from them again. Book this condo for your next trip to Aspen.

Our family of five stayed in December 2011 and had a wonderful time. The condo is very well maintained and comfortable, and the owner is EXTREMELY responsive to issues. Location is terrific - a short walk to town and the gondola. I highly recommend this rental.

Just returned from a terrific summer vacation in Aspen. Michael's and Nancy's condo was beautiful, well appointed and seemed more like a home instead of a condo. Great bedroom layout for a family. Michael and Nancy were extremely helpful and accommodating. We so appreciated the tickets to the symphony--what a treat for us! Backyard patio was a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful place to call home for a week. We would definitely come back and stay here!

Stayed the month of July with my three children and had a fabulous time! Location is a two minute walk to the center of town which was great with two teenagers coming and going all day. The place was very charming and well kept. The owners were very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed during my stay and I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks!

I recently stayed in this wonderful condo with my family (3 adult couples), and we could not have picked a more perfect condo! The photos and information in the listing were so helpful, but only give you a glimmer of how great the property really is. The condo was well cared for and absolutely ready for our arrival, and we would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We especially loved the wonderful kitchen, which provided a great alternative to dining out for every meal. The location could not be better--easy walking distance into the heart of town, minutes to all the shops, bars and restaurants, and 2 minutes to the gondola. The owners were beyond helpful in answering our (many) questions, and made wonderful recommendations--even sending along a helpful guide before our arrival. Ours was a summer visit, and we were within easy distance to the many sights and activities in the area, from the beautiful resorts to ghost towns to mountain biking and hiking. Thank you to the wonderful owners for making our Aspen adventure so warm and easy! Stay here--you won't regret it!

Thanks for an amazing stay in Aspen! Your home, location, and responsiveness exceeded our expectations! The condo was everything we needed and more. We were able to ski straight to the slopes; and for the non-skiers, we were just a short walk to the hotels, restaurants and shops. We would definitely book here again for a return visit! Great location and value in Aspen

We spent a month during ski season here & couldn't have been happier. The condo is nicely located (ski out; walk in; about half way between the gondola and lift 1A), beautifully furnished, and very spacious. We look forward to returning!

Very disappointed

I stayed with 5 girls for a ski weekend and was very disappointed by the level of service I received and lack of amenities in the unit. When we showed up there was 1/2 roll of Toliet Paper in each bathroom and no extra, no wash clothes to be found and no replacement trash liners. Michael required a CASH deposit and said I would get back the morning of my departure, when they found out we were leaving at 5 am they said it would be mailed, so I decided to leave him a check and he cashed it and didn't refund the monies for about 3 weeks (there, of course, was no damage.) I was very uncomfortable with a cash deposit with no recourse, I am sure he will spin it another way in his favor but long story short I have rented from VRBO at least 2-3 times a year and have always had such amazing service and luck with properities and this is the first time I have ever had a poor experience. I will not rent from this individual again for numerous reasons which I am sure he will refute but know that I am being honest and trying to protect others interest in renting as you have many choices in Aspen. Good Luck!

Owner response:Our policy is to collect a security deposit prior to arrival. This usually happens by check, but in this case a cash deposit upon arrival was requested by our guest (certainly not required by us). When she requested our housekeeper meet her at 5am to return the deposit on the day of departure, I told her that 5am was just too early, and that we would send a check to her. Upon arrival she gave our housekeeper a check instead of cash. Her dissatisfaction only occurred after she learned that we cashed the check. Her email to me immediately after her departure stated "Thank you for the use of your condo, it was great! There were a few things to bring to your attention:" She then listed the concerns about the supplies mentioned above. Nancy and I take pride in making every visitor's trip special. If you need anything or have any concerns or requests, let us know before you arrive or while you are there to give us a chance to make your trip great! In the end, she had a good time, there was no damage, and her security deposit was returned. Although we try to make everyone happy, we know that sometimes that is not possible, but read all our other reviews, we have a perfect record! However, in an effort to respond to feedback from our guests, read our new security deposit policy above!

Having spent all my childhood Summers in Aspen I was looking for a central spot to bring my daughter and comfortably spend quality time in the mountains together. ....this unit is perfect. Right in the middle of town (we have stayed in Winter as well to be close to the gondola), room for 6, well equipped to cook, comfortable spot for coffee looking up at the mountain...we keep going back. Additionally, the owners are wonderful and have been a great help and a pleasure to work with.

Perfect location for everything. Short walk to bus to Snowmass & Highlands, dinner, drinks, shopping.... Perfect location. Condo is in great condition, big, well appointed/stocked, very clean and comfortable. The only downside is no view. While not advertised, we were able to ski-out and get within 50 yards from ski-in. Great owners, great location, great trip!

My friends and I had a great time while in Aspen last March 25th – March 30th. Michael and Nancy's condo was just perfect. It is strategically located; it is very close to the bottom of Ajax but just far enough off the beaten trail to feel quiet and woodsy. It was an easy walk to eberything. The condo was super comfy and very well appointed. They went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The pre trip info they gave us really came in handy. The restaurant tips and other insider helpful hints truly allowed us to experience Aspen as a true local. We would have never found the underground Jazz show in the basement of the Little Nell without their help. We ended up meeting and sharing a table with a 4 “local” French gals who really made the trip all the more memorable!!! I will definitely stay at their place the next time I am in Aspen. Thanks again for a marvelous stay!!!

Great Condo

We just got back from skiing in Aspen. We had excellent snow and the condo was super comfy and was in a great location. Michael and Nancy were really easy to work with and made the whole process effortless. The location was just a very short walk to the gondola and we actually felt like we were in a home versus a typical VRBO rental. The condo featured a lot of nice personal touches. Our group enjoyed our 14 day stay in your condo and loved the location when skiing Aspen Mountain, great to be able to ski in and ski out. All facilities were excellent, although we would have liked a bigger bathroom and a bit more space downstairs. The master suite was excellent. Overall cleanliness, appearance and furnishings were very appealing, and we enjoyed many meals and social occasions around the kitchen table - this suited our group very well as we cooked for ourselves quite frequently. We thought this condo represented excellent value for money, was close to all main activities and shopping, and we would definitely recommend to another similar group of skiers.

My company rented this condo our staff during Winter X Games. The location is fantastic, just a few blocks from the Aspen bus terminal and convenient to everything in town. The kids loved the dvd player and bunk beds in the "romper room" downstairs, it was a great place for them to hang out, and the main living area was spacious and comfortable. The heated pool and hot tub were also a big hit. Especially nice was the extensive info on the condo and Aspen attractions provided by the Ruisnek's. I highly recommend this unit. The Best Winter Vacation we've ever had!

We have all decided that this is the place we want to stay every year from now on. We found this beautiful condo to be extremely clean,inviting and luxurious. The beds are very comfortable and the room configuration made it very nice when sharing with family members. We did not want to leave. The entire experience was pleasurable, The owners Michael and Nancy did everything they could to accommodate us and make our stay memorable. They even went the extra mile to provide coffee for the morning and put together a book of all the ski resorts, info on dining, , and the best nightlife with additional first hand recommendations which we found to be also very pleasing! With easy access to everything in town, Aspen Mountain right outside the door and Snowmass just a short distance ...it is the perfect location, what more could you ask for! We have and will continue to recommend this fine vacation rental to those who want to get away.

My family of 4 stayed in this condo during the Aspen Music Festival. The condo was perfect and very well maintained. Everything worked and we had no problems what-so-ever. I loved the walk-in shower in the master bath, just like the pictures. The location is really great because you can walk to so many places. We walked to the beginning of walking trails, walked through the town, to the market on Saturday, many good restaurants, the ski lift, etc. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this condo if you need plenty of room. The condo unit is very comfortable and the location is great. A short walk to the lift and convenient to ski rental and restaurants. Parking directly in front of the building and a great communal hot tub. Our group of six guys have been getting together for ski trips for fifteen years and this place turned out to be a great experience. The owners were easy to work with and very responsive to a couple minor issues with the unit left from the previous guest. Overall a very positive experience.

We stayed in the condominium the weekend of September 22, 2007. You can't beat the location, and we had a fabulous stay. Although the weather was beautiful, we sat by the fire and enjoyed the very comfortable couch and chairs. The Rusineks were great hosts -we appreciated the extensive book collection and games. Most importantly, Michael went out of his way to have the pool and hot tub opened up for us because we were so sore after running the Aspen Falling Leaf Half Marathon (what a killer that was!). Thanks for sharing!

My family and I stayed Jan.2nd through the 6th and we had a fantastic time. The condo was clean, updated, spacious and very comfortable. The owners go out of their way to give information about the condo and operation of everything in the condo like the TV, washer/dryer, heat, fireplace etc. Parking is convenient. We would definately stay again.

We stayed in Sept 05 and the leaves were just beautiful. This condo was the perfect home away from home. The location couldn't be any better, walking distance to downtown Aspen and close to the other resort areas. We can't wait to stay during ski season, since the gondola and lift is right around the corner. The owners are great and very attentive to their guests. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed in this condo over Labor Day weekend 2005 and it was wonderful! When we arrived, the condo was clean and beautifully decorated and the accomodations worked great for our families! The owners put together a book with recommendations for where to eat, hike, etc. which is great if you're new to Aspen. The owners were quick on communication and made sure our stay there was exactly what we expected. We've now found the place where we'll stay everytime we come back to Aspen! Thanks so much!

The location is fabulous, very near the base of Ajax mountain and easy walking distance to the delights of Aspen's culture, dining, shopping and charm.
