winter vaction in Florida/Rotonda 2011/2012

Dear Joy and husband! We have been able to spend 3 wonderful weeks in your house in Rotonda and we will definetely try to come back. It was very well maintained and clean, the kids enjoyed a really wonderful pool and getting out ervery morning to pick the oranges for the freshest and best juice ever! We had each meal outside and could watch lots of birds from your lanai: Anhingas, Egrets, Herons and even wood storks. And with the bikes it was just great to go around and see turtles, amardillos and enjoy the different palm trees, bushes and flowers. We love this place, because it is NOT filled with lots of people, huge hotels at the beach and endless attractions. Here you still find a bit of the old, charming Florida, with wonderful beaches, jumping dolphins at the sunset, countless sharkteeths to collect, breathtaking canopy drives, friendly neighbours and still lots of things to do. Why not visiting Mary Selby Botanical Gardens (wonderful) or doing a shark-tooth diving trip (exciting!) or visiting the planterium and museum in Sarasota? Maybe a visit an Orange plantation? Or getting impressed by thousends of different airplants and bromelias and orchidees in a huge nursery in Venice? And for sure see the science "hands-on" museum for children close to Venice(excellent). It was also very nice we could go with the bikes to the tenniscourts and the playground in Rotonda. Thanks again and you have been very helpful. Was a pleasure to be there!

In both 2007 and 2008 we have been able to spend February and March at this villa. It is a very comfortable home in a great area. The sliding doors from the great room and breakfast nook make the screened lanai and pool area an integral part of the living space. The quiet residential neighborhood and the fresh water canal immediately ehind the house provide excellent portunities for bird watching. This villa is icely furnished and offers lots of space. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and we will miss being here next year.

My family vacationed here in June and we loved it. The weather was perfect. The house was wonderful. We all enjoyed the pool everyday. The house is spacious, inviting, and comfortable. We would recommend this house to anyone and we will definitely be visiting again.

If you are looking for a wonderful and relaxing vacation this is the place. Our family stayed at this property in January and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is a warm, welcoming and inviting home with every amenity that you could want or need. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated with lots of room for the whole family. We especially enjoyed sitting on the lanai to have our coffee each morning and swimming in the heated pool. The local beach, golfing, shopping and restaurants are very close. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 weeks of Florida vacation in your lovely home. It is very well appointed and very comfortable. We play golf so it is great to have so many golf courses nearby. We had wonderful weather so really enjoyed the pool and patio - ate most dinners outside. It's also great to have a BBQ. All in all I would recommend this villa as a great spot to vacation.

The highlight of our trip was definitely the week that we stayed in your house at Rotonda. I've mentioned many times already that the entire week I felt as if I were staying in someone's home rather than renting a house. I knew from the pictures that you sent before we left on vacation that your houses was very nice, but we had to be there to truly appreciate everything that you have. I have never been in a cleaner or more comfortable rental ever. You have plenty of space for my wife and I, our daughter and our two grandsons. The boys really enjoyed your pool and being able to have their breakfast outside. They think you are the smartest people ever for having a door to the pool right from their bathroom. I was a little leery of the bed in the master bedroom when I first saw it (how would I get in and out) but I had no problem and truly enjoyed the comfort at that height. You have far more supplies in the house than we ever expected to find. The notebook with local information is very thoughtful and helpful for getting around. Fortunately we had our personal guide to help us navigate the "pies" of Rotonda. We all want to thank you for allowing us to rent your home, we tried to respect your property, I hope we left the house no worse for our being there. If you are going to continue renting, we would definitely like to make arrangements with you for our future trips to Florida. Dick and Betty Mary, Brian and Zachary Swantek
