My husband and I were probably one of the first adopters of VRBO so we've had experience world-wide. I would have to say that this was one of the nicest properties we've ever rented. Views are awesome -- possibly among the best in the entire Misiones complex. We were able to see whales breaching and spouting from the balcony. The balcony faces south and west so you have a good amount of sun throughout the day, which I like. We never had to use the air conditioning as it cooled down at night and we were able to get a good cross breeze going from three exposures (keeping the front screen door open). This is what I would consider to be the perfect location in Cabo San Lucas -- close to the action yet far away from the noise. The complex is also located on a point a good quarter mile or more from the main highway so there is no highway noise. I like the high ceilings and built-in niches. I'm very picky about mattresses and found the bed here to be supremely comfortable. My husband, like some of the past reviewers, is already angling to go back. Some things to note however -- this wasn't an issue for me, but the kitchen does NOT have an oven (it does have a microwave). This unit would not be suitable for anyone with disabilities as accessing it requires going up three flights of stairs. One thing that would have been helpful for me is heavier curtains in the bedroom which is currently only curtained with sheers. I kept waking up by the light of the full moon and was never able to sleep past 7:30 due to the light.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The condo we stayed in was absolutely perfect! we were greeted with a cute welcome sign and cold beer in fridge. From eating lunch on the gorgeous deck to listening to the waves at night. the sunset is the best in Cabo and all from the privacy of your own deck! there is a great restaurant just down the road with wood fired pizza upstairs and a more upscale menu downstairs - lots of sofas and chairs outside to watch the sunset there too. the private beach was just what we were looking for, get there early on weekends to grab a palapa! the pool was nice, very relaxing. Los Misiones definitely is for those looking to relax and escape the spring breakers in town. We walked on the beach several times to downtown Cabo ( about 3.5 miles) for breakfast then would take the bus back ( only about a dollar) its very convenient to use, we didn't rent a car and between available cabs and buses it was very easy. There is a bar and snack shack open at the pool during the day- watch out for the margaritas! The burgers are great. Other than that there aren't any real amenities that are open, so plan ahead on getting cash and groceries. the Walmart is about 1.5 miles away ( 10$ cab ride) . Overall a wonderful experience- we would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this condo for 6 weeks this past January and part of February. The fact that we have booked it for 6 weeks in 2014 says it all. The amenities of the apartment make it feel like a home away from home. Not only is the apartment very clean but it is also very cozy and inviting. The view from the balcony is outstanding. With Land's End in the distance, beautiful sunsets, whale sightings, and the view of the sea of Cortez, what more can one ask for. The grounds at Misiones are impeccable. We can't say enough about the ground keepers, security personnel and all the nice people who return each year. The pool, pool bar and beautiful private beach make for a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing time. The owners, George and Sherri along with their property manager, Bob, are so accommodating. They make sure that everything is looked after and make one feel at home. This property is a gem; we look forward to our return in 2014.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from our week at Misiones and I want to go back! The condo is remodeled, very clean and spacious... perfect for two and exactly as described. The king bed was comfy, the view is AMAZING, and the pool and bar were super relaxing, a great place to play some cards, read a book, and enjoy a beer. It's definitely a quiet condo, which is exactly what we wanted. A great place to just chill, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown cabo. We rented a car so we could do some side trips, but we also walked into town and then took the bus home several times as well. The beach walk to Medano is quite a hike, especially mid day through the hot sand. I'd recommend it for an early morning experience, before the sun gets too hot. We loved the private beach and there are beach chairs in the condo. We snorkeled a few times (about an hour after high tide was best for us...check the tables) and swam with all sorts of fish and eels. Bob and Lynn, the property managers, were very welcoming and helpful, and we cannot wait to return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just returned from 7 days in Cabo. This condo is amazing! It more than exceeded our expectations and I would not hesitate to rent it again...Comfortable king bed, spacious bathroom, views to die for plus very peaceful surroundings! The pictures on the web site don't do it justice ! . The weather and amenities (beach, pool, etc.) of the Misiones Resort were great. We highly recommend the penthouse and plan to return soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Bob, The condo was absolutely amazing. We had our pick of three separate beaches to walk to. The private beach to snorkel, the beach to watch the surfers, and the beach that had a short trail through the rocky desert to get too..very secluded! The condo has the best views in the complex and rivals the best views in Cabo. It has a direct view of the Lands End and the downtown Cabo beach area. The condo was spotless with the finest appliances. This was the perfect place to share my Honeymoon with my new Wife! Thanks again Bob, Mike and MaryRecommended for: Romantic getaway.

We had a great time at the condo. There is everything you need there to cook with. We had some issues with the Sat TV and Bob came over right away to sort it out for us (which took 10 seconds to fix) The sunsets were amazing from the balcony. We walked from the condo along the beach (past the surf beach and over the rocky desert area) to Tabasco's restaurant/ medano beach area and then took the bus back to the entrance to Misiones. The cold bottles of beer and water in the fridge were a nice touch. Bob It was really nice meeting you and Lynn, thanks for all the info and hope to be back there soon. Oh yeah.........there is a toilet plunger under the sink, I just had to look a little harder.lolRecommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Bob, my wife and I were thrilled when we first walked into the penthouse condo. We were so pleased with this unit and the condo complex, it was everything we had hoped for and more. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary which made it more special. It was so nice to stay at a laid back quiet resort, there were no crowds, we always had a spot at the pool, there were even times when we were the only ones at the private beach. We enjoyed being on a beach with no vendors trying to sell us stuff. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff was always nice and helpful. Our unit had the best view in all of Cabo! The deck had sun on it from sunrise to sunset. We used the grill numerous times and loved having the patio furniture. We hope to come back soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this condo from Nov 17-Dec 8, 2011. The condo and the view couldn't be beat. The condo was beautiful and clean, with a nicely updated kitchen & bath, very comfortable queen bed, satellite TV, wifi, patio furniture and gas bbq. The view of the bay and the arch was spectacular, and the sunsets from the balcony every nite were amazing. The listing is accurate with the exception that there is only one pool (the hotel section of the resort is closed and the pool has been drained), and there is really only one restaurant "on site" (Sunset da Mona Lisa, which has two sections - a pizza restaurant/bar, and the more formal dining area). There is a second restaurant (Puerta Vieja) about a 1/2 mile up the road. There is also no convenience store on-site - the nearest one is the Oxxo which is a good mile away on the corridor highway. We were also disappointed that the pool bar/snack bar were closed, although the pool bar (not the snack bar) re-opened during our last week. This is a very quiet resort, and you are somewhat secluded unless you rent a car, take taxis, or are willing to walk the 1/2 mile to the highway (very dark after 6 pm - bring a flashlight) to take the bus along the corridor or into San Jose or Cabo San Lucas. Having said all that, it is a beautiful condo and the responsiveness and friendliness of Bob, the fellow who manages the condo unit for the owners & who lives nearby, was much appreciated. The resort was very quiet, with very few people around. We would recommend this condo unless you are looking for a party experience, or would have a problem not having everything within walking distance. Thanks for a very relaxing time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: We fell in love with Cabo several years ago and after numerous trips decided to buy our beautiful condo, mostly because of the fantastic view. We recently remodeled our penthouse, added all new furniture and made it the perfect vacation getaway.
Why the Owner Chose Misiones del Cabo:
We feel that Misiones is the perfect location. Its not part of all the craziness in downtown Cabo, but it's close enough for those times we want to enjoy some night life. We especially like the relaxed atmosphere of Misiones, and we look forward to quite walks on our private beach.
