My husband and I and our two elementary-school-aged children spent a week in this lovely apartment in the heart of everything in Paris. Honestly, it was simply perfect. The apartment is in a lovely old building with big wooden doors that open into a passageway and then two courtyards: it was so quiet when we were in the apartment we couldn't believe that we were in the middle of a city. The apartment looks just as the photos show and it has everything you need--including a great library of Paris guidebooks,super-comfortable beds, great heat and an excellent shower. We were so happy there. Although the St Sulpice metro station is a block away, we walked mostly everywhere, which was a lovely way to spend our vacation with the kids: walking and eating. And we were within walking distance not only from some of the most famous monuments, museums and gardens in the world but also some of the most popular patisseries and chocolate-makers as well. I don't think our kids will ever forget the cakes from La Duree or the chocolate from Maison du Chocolat. Francoise was very responsive during the booking process, warm and welcoming on our arrival and had a typed list of suggestions regarding restaurants and supermarkets, and even helped us reserve a cab for 2:30 am when we had to leave. We highly recommend this property and hope very much to return very soon. Thank you, Francoise!

Exactly as advertised Plus! David and Francoise are marvelously organized, making our stay very easy. Our questions were answered promptly and their input was helpful. Even the loan of a Mac plug when mine burned out! The location is within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and it felt like coming home each evening.

The place is excelent located and has all the amenities needed. Dish washer, kitchen, etc in excelent conditions. We expend a week with our two kids and were very confortable. The house owner was helpful, responded all the emails during the booking process and the instructions were clear. She will give you guidence if needed or give you privacy. The place is on the plant floor and very silent.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely place for two weeks and loved every minute. It is in an ideal location, and the apartment is exactly as pictured. It is on the first floor overlooking a small patio and is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to walk to all the major sights although the metro is nearby. Francoise and her husband live nearby and were most helpful. The apartment is attractive, well maintained and the small kitchenette is outfitted for cooking; however, there are many bakeries, cheese and wine shops, and grocery stores nearby for delicious take out foods. We would highly recommend this for a couple or a small family.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in this perfect apartment. It was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was cold and it was a warm haven to return to every day. It suited all our needs. The multiple windows allowed us to watch the snow from out warm perch inside. The ground floor unit allowed easy access in and out. The location was perfect and close to great restaurants and the metro. We plan to return soon.

Rant and rave review!!!! We stayed here for 7 nights (husband, me, 2-year-old, and nanny), this past November 2010. The location is spectacular - skipping distance to 3 METRO stops and walkable to all the wonders of St. Germain and Quartier Latin. We even walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame! There are millions of restaurants and shops within reach. The beauty of Paris, in my opinion, is being able to "get lost" on a street, and discover delicious restaurants and shops. This apartment is located smack dab in my favorite - the 6th...and yet is SO close to the hustle and bustle of the young 5th. I am in love with Paris and I SO wanted my family to love it as much as me, and this apartment accomplished that mission. (There is even a cute toy store walking distance!!!). The location is hard to compete with, and the security was even more incredible. This beautiful apartment is located in an old theatre, inside some beautiful shops (Longchamps - yay!). It is carefully guarded and we felt incredibly safe there. The condo is in an old, historically magnificent building. Yet, the inside was updated with great fixtures and loving touches, and really met my high standards. (We are traveling with a 2-year old!) The condo was perfect for a family. Our little toddler had a lot of space to run around in. The kitchenette was fully equipped, with dishwasher and fridge. There was a washer and dryer. It was quaint and just perfect for our stay. In addition, the owners were incredibly accommodating and nice. They live nearby, and could answer all questions. This was my 7th trip to Paris and I have stayed in many, many hotels and apartments. This one was my absolute favorite. Thank you, Francoise! You have made our trip incredibly memorable. I promise you, we shall return one day. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights in September and it's in a great spot for visiting Paris and the apartment and has all the mod cons. I think that the apartment was good value, especially for Paris, but i would not recommend it simply because it was just too dark, even with the big windows it felt as though there was no natural light :-( I suggest you take the recommendations that Francoise & David (lovely owners) give you in regards to local restaurants because there's some shockers nearby!

We stayed here June 19 - 26, 2010. We loved the apartment. It was plenty big enough for our party of 4 - myself, my sister, and my 2 grown daughters. It is nicely decorated & very centrally located. The metro is less than a block away. Sights, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping all located around the apartment. We felt like Parisians having our own little apartment to come home to every night. Thank you so much, Francoise. You were a wonderful hostess.

Our family of 3 stayed at David and Francoise's apt. for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. It was in a great location, Very central to the metro. Sites, restaurants, grocery stores are also nearby. The apt. was comfortable and quiet even though there is construction at a nearby bldg. We felt safe walking the streets at night. Paris is a magical city--and this apt. is icing on the cake.

We were fortunate to get to stay in Francoise and David's ground floor St Germain apartment for the month of February. Paris with snow was a new and wonderful experience! The location of the apartment is perfect as it is located at a 6 point circle inviting you to pick a different direction to explore each morning. Everything in the city of lights is within walking distance from this location although the neighborhood itself is my absolute favorite! The apartment was perfect for us .. comfortable beds, natural light, hot water and great water pressure, wifi, telephone, washer/dryer, security, ground floor access, gracious hosts, modern amenities as well as historical architectural features. We will return to this property again and again! We were a group of 3 generations of women 70something 50something and 20somethings and the apartment/space appealed to all of us!

Recently, we spent a week at 21 Vieux Colombier and were most pleased. The accommodations were secure, clean, attractive, and comfortable. Francoise was attentive. The location could not have been better. This property definitely will be our choice the next time we visit Paris. Bob and Joanne Springfield, Illinois

We were fortunate to have recently rented this apartment for one month! We had stayed here previously so knew we would enjoy the stay with Francoise & David. In fact, we have our reservation for another month in 2010. It is well within walking distance of: local markets, Bon Marche, Poilaine, St Sulpice metro & several bus stops (across the street)!!! The apartment is EXACTLY as advertised. Being on the ground floor and having wonderful security are definate advantages.

This apartment was a great place for my daughter, 6 year old granddaughter, and me for 6 nights in April. The location could not be better--so close to metro, bus stops, ATMs, patisseries, etc. It was so much more convenient than a hotel for our little three-generation group. As others have said, it is right in the midst of an active, vibrant part of Paris yet the apartment is quiet and feels very secure. And I can attest to the extraordinary comfort of the sofa bed!

My husband and I recently spent 9 very wonderful nights in this lovely quiet apartment in the heart of the 6th arondissment, our favorite neighborhood! It is in a gorgeous historic building and has been very tastefully remodeled to include all the comforts and conveniences of modern living (great bed, kitchen area and bathroom), with an added bonus of a ground floor location. It was a pleasure to be a visitor in this perfect Paris environment with David and Francoise being very helpful and accommodating "landlords".

We recently stayed 8 nights at this charming apartment in the 6th district. The apartment is very comfortable and secure, with more than enough room for my wife and I plus our two daughters. The location is ideal - close to the metro, shopping, restaurants and sites. Francoise was a kind and gracious host, answering our questions and providing advice on the area. We hope to return soon for a longer stay!

We have just returned from a one month holiday in Europe which started at this fantastic location in Paris. What a great apartment! Situated at the quiet rear of the building looking into a pretty garden this apartment is both tastefully and thoughtfully renovated. Comfortable bedding, all the necessary cooking utensils, a CD player, internet, plus there were even maps and restaurant/shopping guides on the bookshelf, absolutely everything you might need. But best of all it's right in the heart of Saint Germain surrounded by the best shopping, great local restaurants and Le Bon Marche is just a few minutes walk away. Bus transport is at the front door and the metro is at the corner. We are a couple with a seven year child and this was the perfect base in Paris, we just hope we can stay here again. Thanks to the owners for providing such a great place to stay.

My husband & I highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Paris. We spent six nights there in early June 2007. The location is ideal for walking to most of the sights and close to good restaurants. A major bus route stops almost at the doorstep and the metro is very close by. The apartment is quiet and stays cool on hot days. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed very comfortable and we appreciated the spacious shower. An added bonus is having the gracious owners in the same building to answer any questions. If we have the chance to return to Paris, we would definitely want to stay in this apartment again.

My wife & I stayed in this great apartment from May 15-22nd 2007. Its located in a ideal location for shopping, resturants and attractions. We loved that it is located on the 0 (zero) ground floor. No stairs to climb or elavators to use. It is very up todate with a clothes washer & dryer, microwave oven, toaster, dishwasher, stove, hotplates etc etc. Comfortable king sized bed. Access to a lovely garen offf the bedroom. Quiet and very bright & airy. Plenty of room for the two of us. The shower was perfect with plenty of hot water. I have already recommended this apartment to two of my friends to rent during their stay in the City of Lights !!!

We definitely concur with the previous positive comments re this excellant rental property owned by a remarkably charming and welcoming young couple. Having already stayed three times, we now organize our regular trips to Paris around the availability of "our place" there. Many thanks.

Before I even saw the apartment, I was happy with the arrangements. Madame Francoise Sackrider was helpful and her English perfect. When I arrived at the apartment, I found another home in Paris. The cupboards were well equipped and the kitchen was up to date with dishwasher and ample cooking equipment. Separate toilet with washing machine and bathroom with very modern shower and sink. This apartment is the best of both worlds. Keeping some architectural elements, the remodeling is a combination of modern comfort and old charm. Ah, and the bed is king and firm. Looking out the windows takes one back in history as the back buildings reflect the 17th cent. Although the apartment is quite, one only has to go out the building to the street to find all the energy and shopping opportunities that the St. Germain area has to offer and it is a lot. Hopefully I will be back to this little bit of heaven in Paris. With thanks and appreciation, Ms. Elin Babcock ParisianTour

We stayed in David & Francoise's apartment in Paris for 7 nights. The location of the apartment is perfect for those who love to shop. We spent our days going to the street markets at nearby Boulevard Raspail and at Rue de Buci. We also enjoyed browsing the numerous boutiques in the area and strolling through the lovely Luxembourg Gardens. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. We used the well-equipped kitchen each day to prepare our breakfast and dinner. The lovely patio with was an added treat. Thanks to David & Francoise for being such gracious hosts. We look forward to seeing you again.

We stayed in David's apartment for 4 days right in St. Germain. It was so silent that we sometimes could hardly belief we were sleeping in Paris. The apartment is a great starting point to explore Paris and to come home and rest, bath and pick up your mail was a pleasure. The garden we used sometimes for lunch and breakfast. It's a very good deal for such a good equipped place in the middle of Paris. Thanks, Onny and Saskia
