Our place has 2 bedrooms - one with a King bed, flat screen TV, a settee, LOTS of closet space, it's own bathroom (separate toilet and shower), and a walk-in utility closet packed with all of the essentials a home would need: i.e. step stool, tool kit, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, replacement light bulbs and batteries, iron & ironing board, hangars, extension chords, etc. The second bedroom has two full-size beds and it's own bathroom. Plenty of closet space there, too. Upon entering this second bedroom is a side 'cubby' where a clothes dryer over washer is located. Adjacent to that is a second 'cubby' housing a brand new A/C handler and Hot Water Heater. Except for the kitchen appliances & washer/dryer (2-3 years old) EVERYTHING in the place is BRAND NEW: i.e. silverware, small kitchen appliances, every piece of furniture, both TVs (there is one in the LR with Cable & Wifi). The flooring in the Unit is mostly Tile (except for the Master Bedroom which is carpet). Looking out of the condo from the dining room table or the breakfast nook one can view the ocean, which is a short 4 minute walk to the 3000 feet of beach over the dune. Ocean Village houses approximately 2000 units including high rises and multi-level buildings. Our building is 5 floors. We have a 5th floor corner unit - nobody is above or to one side of us. There is an elevator in each of the buildings. The wonderful Restaurant on the premises is open November 1st through May 31st. Adjacent to the restaurant is one of the several large heated pools and hot tubs in the community. At this particular pool each morning is aquatic aerobics for all to join in. Also found here is a Tiki Hut which serves breakfast and lunch daily year round from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It also has a 'full bar' which is open the same hours. There is a quaint 9-hole par 3 Executive Golf Course which is perfect for a quick round of golf, along with a putting green and clubhouse. We have a set of clubs and bag in the condo. No golf carts are allowed on the premises. There are Tennis courts throughout the premises. There is so much to do within the community of Ocean Village. For that reason we have a full-time activities director. On the premises is a Real Estate and Rental office.

The assortment of restaurants is amazing, and the ones we have frequented are all fantastic. The Inn at Ocean Village (right on the premises open November 1 through May 31) is superb! Second Street Bistro, On the Edge, Manatee Island Bar & Grill, Chucks Seafood, Pietros On the River and Shuckers are some of the ones we have eaten at - ALL GREAT! You can choose either open air dining or sit inside at most of them. If you are into the bar scene, Fort Pierce is your OYSTER! Archie's Seabreeze right on the island is a great spot for food, drink and live entertainment. The younger crowd loves The Jetty, also on the island. They party outside on the beach all night (it seems). They have a drive-up package store there - NICE! Downtown is right on the water. There you will find an assortment of activities. There are a lot of restaurants here, also. There's a nice coffee house (Zelmo's), Uncle Carlo's Gelatto place and 121 Tapas (Wine & Beer). The Sailfish is a new Brewery in town (year old) and is lots of fun with various outdoor games to play (corn hole, big jenga, etc). There is a fantastic Farmer's Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. Fort Pierce has two theaters - Sunrise Theatre (1200 seats) and Pineapple Playhouse. For instance Boz Scaggs (Musician from the 70s) played Sunrise this month. There are countless museums in the area, a couple being the Manatee right in downtown and the world famous Navy Seal (Military) Museum on North Hutchinson Island. There are really too many to mention. Deep Sea Fishing is superb. Last time out on the Fort Pierce Lady I actually won the 'pool' prize for largest fish caught. There were 24 of us on board fishing. If you want to be more 'quaint', groups of 6 or less can go out on Last Mango Charters with Captain Tris Colket. I've spoken with him but have yet to go out on his boat. They go for 'big game' fish. We have plans of doing some kayaking during our next visit. Lisa's Kayaks has been recommended (apparently you can rent motor boats - guided or go it on your own - and motorized kayaks).
