Villa Beauregard Sous St-Antoine is a beautiful classical villa in Menton, France near Nice, Monte-Carlo, and Italy, featuring a full acre of gardens, and a beautiful sea view from its elevation of 50 metres (150 feet) above the Mediterranean. Ideally placed, the property is a ten minute walk to the beach, a 20 minute walk to the historic centre of Menton, or a 20 minute walk to the Italian border.
Menton has the sunniest and mildest winter climate of anywhere in France, almost the best in Europe, with 7.49 hours of sun per day averaged through the year--even in January, a typical day is 15 °C (59 °F) with 5.6 hours of strong sunshine. Located at the exact bottom right corner of France, Menton is surrounded by a protective crescent of mountains, so it never gets the Mistral north wind in winter. The town features many palm trees and cactus, and has had only one snowfall since the 1950's.
Located on Boulevard de Garavan, the most prestigious residential street in the Menton region, the villa was built around 1910 by the Countess di Cippico, and thoroughly renovated in 2001, when the current bathroom and kitchen were installed, as well as new multi-zone air conditioning and electrical systems.
You can rent either the full villa, or just the Garden Level, by the week. This listing describes the Garden Level only.
The Garden Level sleeps 6, and includes kitchen with dining table, living room, bathroom with tub and separate shower, laundry room, three bedrooms (2 of which have their own sinks), private entrance and terrace, and access to the beautiful terraced gardens covering a full acre (4500 sq metres). There are windows in every room (except the laundry), facing south (the sea), or west (the garden). The ground floor is about 1,220 square feet (114 sq m) of living space.
This property has many terraces with sharp drops, so it is not suitable for small children.
