Greetings from Big Sky Montana! That’s where this bear stayed while visiting beautiful Yellowstone National Park. You’ll enjoy every minute of your stay in this lovely three-bedroom townhouse at Big Sky resort. Whether you want to snuggle up by the fireplace on a cold winter evening or simply hibernate (sleep in) and have a "home cooked" breakfast at your leisure, this is the place for you. You will enjoy a full kitchen, 3 comfortable bedrooms with 3 baths. Who needs a movie theater when you can kick back and enjoy a DVD on the big screen TV? If you’re like me, you don’t like to over pack, so it was very convenient to use the laundry facilities just off the kitchen.
Big Sky Mountain is known for its winter fun with downhill skiing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides nearby. It is also a great place to stay in the summer months. Activities such as mountain biking, horseback riding, and white water rafting are just minutes away. You can even take a slow walk around the small lake in front of the complex. We enjoyed the beautiful drive down to Yellowstone, just 45 minutes away and enjoyed all the wonders of this national park. It’s truly a beautiful area for a little bear like me to have fun in the summer or winter. You’ll love it too!

We just got home from our trip out west. Mary and Mike thank you so much for going out of your way to have your neighbor rent his condo to us. We had a great time at Big Sky, Everyone at base camp was wonderful and the shopping complexes were great. The kids did all the activities including, high ropes, paintballing, bungee jumping, wall climbing, zip lining and white water rafting and of course the huge swing while we relaxed at the condo, My Husband and father in law enjoyed a day of fishing on the river with a local guide. Everything was perfect thanks. Andrea & Mark from WI!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

The owner of the condo are very nice and always accesible. We called them several times before going there. And we always got prompt and honest response. Everything in condo was as expected without any surprise. Nice hot tub, bed rooms and kitchen. The location is beautiful. There are some nice trails within 2-3 miles. Though it is 1 hour away from West Yellowstone entrance and 2 hours away from any attraction within Yellowstone national park. As a bonus, we saw a black bear nearby during evening walk!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

I contacted Mike about renting this nice condo for a snowmobile trip in West Yellowstone. Mike informed me that this condo was actually closer to Big Sky and may not be very suitable for what I was trying to do for my trip. The listing is for West Yellowston but it really is near Big Sky. Once I mapped out the actual address that Mike sent me, I saw that the distance was going to be too far. So eventhough I didn't actually stay, here, I greatly appreciated the honesty and integrity of Mike letting me know that this location may not work for me. But I bet this is a great place for skiers who are going to Big Sky for the week. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the honest info Mike! September 17, 2009: We just finished booking our 2010 trip back to Bighorn #62 and Bighorn #63. We have had fantastic snow conditions the past three years. Big Sky can move the people and has challenging runs for our entire group. These condos are in a beautiful location. The kids can watch for the Bear Back Poma to start in the morning from the bedroom window. The walk is short enough for the kids to carry their skiis and poles to the lift. We ski in for lunch every day. The Huntly swimming pool is walking distance for the kids and the people there are helpful. The ski rental shop, restaurants, and bars might even be a little closer. The condos are funished with plenty of TVs, comfortable furniture/beds, wi-fi, stereo, fireplace, washer/dryers, everything! The kithcens are set up for cooking....we do not spend time hunting for utensils that are missing! This will be our third season at Bighorn #62 and #63. We expect there to be many more.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Our family enjoyed getting together in August for my mother's 79th b-day. Despite her health changing in the last year, we were able to get her to Big Sky with her oxygen in tow. She was delighted with the condo and felt very comfortable in the master bedroom on the main level. I was able to get my 3 brothers and 3 sisters to join us for a prime rib dinner on Saturday although everyone wasn't able to stay the night. The condo allowed us all enough eating space to eat, visit and enjoy one another's company. The swimming at Huntley Lodge was enjoyed by all along with the scenic chair lift ride. At the top of the mountain, we tried out the frisbee golf "folf" course for 9 holes. This is a free course that starts at the top of the chair lift and ends up at the base of the mountain if you decide to play 18. You can bring your own disks or rent them from Big Sky Sports for $4, which is also where the chair lift tickets are purchased. Thanks again for allowing us to use your condo and for the cherished memories with my mom. Sincerely, Carol Bloom and FamilyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: The owners, Mike Bann and Scott & Mary Anderson live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Mike is your initial contact and an avid skier. He owns his own business solutions company in St. Paul, MN. Mary is the nuts and bolts of booking your reservation and she enjoys Big Sky for the hiking and the proximity to Yellowstone Natl Park. She is an investment accountant for a wealthy Minnesota family. Scott and B help out when needed and enjoy vacationing in Big Sky.
Why the Owner Chose West Yellowstone:
The Banns and the Andersons spent many years driving to Big Sky for skiing at Christmas and New Years and every other summer to visit Yellowstone. We sponged off of some really good friends and stayed in their condos across the road from the Mountain Village. When one of them decided to sell their unit we checked in to buying it but decided on our first place right on the mountain for ski-in/ski-out convenience. The unit next door went up for sale the next summer so we decided to buy it to supply our guests with the ability to expand their vacation plans to include extended family or friends.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
We try to create an at home feel for our guests. Mike loves wine so we have a wine rack in each unit with an assortment of wines. We are continually updating our video library, CD collections, games to supply you with relaxing entertainment after a long day of skiing or hiking. Mary loves to cook when in Big Sky so she has made sure that every thing you need to prepare a meal is available to you in our fully equipped kitchen. In 2006, we installed a 7 person hot tub in one of our units to enhance your stay with us in Big Sky. This is a rare feature for a Big Horn Condo unit. We have had a mother and baby moose nibbling on the bushes right outside our kitchen window in the fall. You can look right out the bedroom window to see if it is snowing on Lone Peak.
